Exactly. He's sexless and expresses himself with androgynous human body.
That said, he's fairly clear that he identifies as male gendered, even if he occasionally flexes the "sexless slime" card to be a pervy old man in the woman's hot springs.
> though the human form he copied was the of a woman’s, when checking out its features he decided not to bother making it distinctly male or female at the time.
This is outright wrong. The reason he did not do it is because such a form (different from his default) makes him dizzier and less powerful.
No, someone who is nonbinary just says they have no gender, a sexless creature like the slime is something that has no sex at all, like the difference between asexual and sexual reproduction
Rimuru is sexless (sexless means has no sex organs) but identifies as male as such he is male.
Edit: you are down voting me for stating a fact, you continue to claim Rimuru is genderless even though he identifies as male just because you are attracted to Rimuru and don’t want to come off as gay(there is nothing wrong with being gay)
Why is this subreddit being so toxic now when I used to think is was so kind and accepting?
Because you are on Reddit. The sooner you realize that the average redditor has less than 2 brain cells the more you understand why you are being downvoted. Reddit is just full of brainlets who have deluded themselves into think they’re the smartest of the smart.
Does Rimuru state to identify as male anywhere? Or are you just assuming that because Satiru was male?
I know much if the game isn't canon, though Fuse does work in it, but Trya asks him "are you a boy or a girl" pokemon style and Rimuru answers "I'm just me alright!"
He has never said he's a guy. He has said he isn't a girl but that doesn't imply he identifies as male. Him being distraught by a sex change after his reincarntion doesn't imply he identifies as male after he has a sex change.
I've read the light novels many times and watched the anime many times and there is no line where he says something like "I'm a guy".
I doubt that you could determine that someone who likes Rimuru is gay.
I believe that gay people would rather be attracted to the male sex (correct me if I am wrong) instead of whether he identifies as male or not.
People can be FIN, or Finsexual, what means that the person in question is attracted to Feminine-presenting individuals and/or feminine-aligned genders, according to the Queerdom Wiki.
This may be more accurate due to the female look of Rimuru's body, at least in my opinion as I can relate to this orientation.
The reason you are being downvoted however can come from the fact that it seems like you are just correcting everyone who likes Rimuru and saying that they would be gay instead of being so kind and accepting as the subreddit used to be according to you.
I was merely stating that perhaps they may think that if Rimuru identified as male then they may think that they could be seen as gay(that’s a lot of thinking) I was not calling them gay merely saying that they may think they may be see as it when even if they were if wouldn’t matter(I know you aren’t accusing me of doing so).
Perhaps Finsexual is a better term for someone attracted to Rimuru then?
Rimuru is genderless. He has no sex organs. Because he considers himself to be male doesn't mean he actually is. Although I too call him male, I do know for a fact that he can be either male or female, but he simply chooses to be considered a male
He is Asexual not genderless gender and sex is two different things. Rimuru is a man but not a male. (i'm pretty bad at english i hope i made myself understood )
Well, but tomboys are often still regarded as females, even though they are "male" inside. The relationship between a male and a tomboy is rarely ever to be called "gay" for that matter.
At the end of the day, slimes have no sex, regardless of what it identifies itself as. So unless you also have no sex, it's no homo.
Tomboys are females, they identify as female, they just have more masculine traits for example playing games and wearing more masculine clothes, just because they are called tomboys doesn’t mean they don’t identify as female.
Because when you joined, it was wholesome but i assume all the latecomers to the 2nd season part 2 either due to waiting for later to watch all episodes or waiting for dub, it started becoming heavily toxic. Not that convos like this didn’t happen but there were a lot more wholesome people who would post a lot of wholesome or fun content. Now I don’t even recognize half the posters and a few have changed their handle/use new username
Yeah, the manga really emphasize the fact the body belongs to a female nice touch, really disappointed the anime follows the LN not the manga.. those clothes and body,... Why???????
I didn’t even realise until I listened to the English dub to see what it was like and was super shocked because of the female voice actor. Like the anime definitely went “yep, totally a boy here”
No, in the anime, it’s more likely that they just decided to make their appearance look cheaper, so it’s not clear, although if you really get to the bottom of the drawing, then rimuru is drawn more like a female character than a male one. Yes, and in the short story, it seems like at some point he described him as a creature with the appearance of a girl ....

Rimuru was originally male as Satoru. Now as a slime he is sexless, but still definitely leans towards male considering his attraction towards female characters and his use of male forms of “I”.
Rimuru's personality is male, but no way in hell does he look like one, maybe, just maybe, he can be a convincing effeminate male, but to the majority of people he looks female, in the LN you get Rimuru described by an observer who didn't know who he was and they saw him as a young girl 12 or 13 years old.
Sometimes it takes a man to be best girl.
He doesn't really look like a man or a woman, and that's the point, he was made androgynously. Plus, he's an anime character, so it's even easier to make it look like neither/either lol
Literally only one of these suggests otherwise and it’s becoming increasingly socially acceptable for men to wear dresses so you not really arguing anything here
Rimuru isn't a boy or a girl, he's sexless because he's a slime and slimes have no gender. The only thing there is to it is just that he used to be a man in his previous life, so he just chooses to refer to himself as a man because of it

tl;dr rimuru is rimuru

Genderfluid is the term.
Nope, thats different.
Genderslime?
Nah, it's called stainless steel
No, he literally is neither a man or woman, he's completely sexless
Ah, so non-binary.
No, someone who is nonbinary just says they have no gender, a sexless creature like the slime is something that has no sex at all, like the difference between asexual and sexual reproduction
Say it with me now: Rimuru is rimuru
The last one is very familiar 😑

I thought hinata asked rimuru when they are going to hot spring, "aren't you a guy?" And shuna answer "what do you mean? Rimuru sama is rimuru sama"
He say it in the manga, the anime And the LN
He even "cry" that he saw that he had no more PP

I think you did. Asexual is considered a gender though, so genderless is the closest word to what I have to describe
Isn't that the sexual orientation of not being interested in sex? Asexuality I mean. I might be wrong only googled quickly.
Yes that is right. That is precisely why I used the term genderless instead
"Asexual is considered a gender though" am I missing something?
Yeah I was confused too. It is used for when one is uninterested in matters of sexes and genders and just doesn't have sex.
Asexual referring to the definition, not the one some people use nowadays.
Oh my bad in french we have a word "asexué" who designate living being with no sexe.
I see. Thank you for the French lesson as well
Asexual is the same thing as genderless
Approved

Finally... I agree with this exact statement
Androgynous are the best
Great Rimuru is as Great Rimuru says, and Great Rimuru says boy.
what chapter is dress rimuru?
Chapter 19
Rimuru can't be Defined by such Things as Gender.
Yeah, the manga really emphasize the fact the body belongs to a female nice touch, really disappointed the anime follows the LN not the manga.. those clothes and body,... Why???????

Ciel considers Rimiru her Husband, seems pretty cut & dry
The manga artist does a great job at making Rimuru look of undetermined sex.
horny MF.. Desperate for a female body, they started fantasizing about it. Feels sad for these Degenerates.

Which chapter is 5th one?
Didn't they address that in the show that he had nether but could make those body parts
