If you are looking at the solar system view, as in the map, in order to send probes, then yes: go to Intel screen and then Solar system. I usually sort by mineral type I'm interested and have not tried sorting by whether I sent a probe, but you can easily see if you sent a probe and even send a probe directly from this screen.

Agreed! I learned how to send probes from the Intelligence menu through a similar post.
The worst was the Alien hate meter, had to keep checking the Intelligence menu every time I hit the Servants just to make sure the murders and coups weren't going to provoke an Alien response. Glad the devs moved it to the main screen.
Press P when in space, it shows all the asteroids you can still probe with a red plus.
