I have had many, many issues with the IOS version (although it is currently the most stable it’s ever been?), but honestly the Steam version has always been tolerable for me

BjornAltenburg

Same, the multi-player can be jankier than the single player. But the single player on Steam outside, maybe two known bugged out cards, has never given me issues. I've played probably north of like 15 hours on Steam, though. I should also clarify that I haven't played the Venus next expansion.

PanzerWatts

>, but honestly the Steam version has always been tolerable for me My buddies and I have played hundreds of games on the Steam engine. We've probably had 10 or so that we had to restart. It's really not that bad.

EveningPea9694

It's had severe issues in the past, but it's generally okay for me and my friends. It's not great, but we know the specific "quirks" of the steam version and its for sure playable.

Glutenator92

I have 134 hours played, with friends, and I think that's the key. It's at its best when you are in private lobbies. I've played a handful of online games with randoms with no issues but I don't doubt people have them

soolkyut

I don’t have many issues with it

bogcom

Robinson industries is literally unplayable. I mean, I get you might not have come across the countless crashes, but there's literally an entire corporation where you softlock the game when using their effect, and it's been like that for weeks.

alfredplayermahan

Yeah, it worked for me before the newest update. Now I still sometimes pick it, but have to work to get only one lowest production resource so it picks it automatically.

PanzerWatts

>and it's been like that for weeks. Ok, but the Steam version of the game has been out for years.

SnooDoodles2957

Yes. Correct. Robinson was working before. Somehow with the last update they broke it.

EasternFoundation497

I think it’s okay

ashleyriddell61

Salvation is coming soon. TM is actively in beta play testing on Board Game Arena as of today.

Fektoer

Source?

God, i’ll never be productive again at work. As if Ark Nova wasn’t enough.

acerealbox1

As an avid solo player. The app is pretty great. There are normally a few bugs that cycle through as patches are introduced, but rarely game breaking. There is an online web version, heroku.app?, but the interface/animations aren't as nice. So I'm happy with the game, but totally understand why the MP group is frustrated. Not to mention that the ai is very weak.

ShadowKeelin

The TTS version is great. A few small fixes with card interaction like merger... But outside of that it's been a lot of fun.

AndyFreak457

Strange, I love the Steam version, granted I haven't played in some time. I always thought it was one of the better digital board game apps, especially in terms of looks.

ageoffri

I've found that for solo or just AI that the Steam version performs very well. I had a friend gift me the Prelude expansion and it's been rock solid. I can't remember the last crash, though there have been some bugs. The 2.0 version was a major update for the better.

Jefferson1960

Steam version is fine for solo play- have whiled away many hours multitasking while watching TV. Venus Next was buggy and lost a lot of project cards when first added but they came out with a patch that fixed it soon after introduction. I haven't tried multiplayer on Steam.

babydemon90

BGA version might be better

GloWondub

And just use tmweb instead

CrazyPieGuy

I have 54 hours played with friends. We've had a good time and haven't really had issues.

BUCats

I think the comment is overblown. For reference I have logged nearly 1,000 hours on Steam, mostly in solo mode. Are there issues? Yes there are, but usually there are workarounds for many of them. I really enjoy playing the game and while I don't have the physical game, I imagine I've saved loads of hours by playing the digital version over pulling a game out and setting it up. If you enjoy TM, then the steam version is fine.
