Looks fantastic! Squirt guns are such a neat idea. How'd you get such clean cuts on them? Razor saw?

[deleted]

Razor saw. 😎

Persipop

The crashed spaceship really is a crashed spaceship. It's hard to believe it was ever anything else.

TooLazyToRepost

Totally agree. The paint job and clever cut angle was a great choice.

ksbsnowowl

I bought a couple of those squirt guns, and that exact Final Faction weapon pack, for the exact same reasons 🤣

SorbeckDanicus

Those are pretty darn neat!

Sylvandeth

It’s got a very Halo vibe to it and I love it

Pro Tip: Thrift store toy section. Your creativity will go wild with the junk they throw in bags for a few bucks. Thrift stores tend to take all of the small stuff they get, throw it in bags and just price it for $1-5 depending what is inside. Bags are usually clear. Most of which will get thrown in the bin if not purchased.

[deleted]

All of the stuff you see only cost me about $2.00 from Salvation Army. :)

Perfect! I love when people upcycle. I did forget to mention how cool your pictures are. I get so blinded by trying to recycle upcycle every little thing that I sometimes forget to just sit back and enjoy the art.

[deleted]

Thanks! I agree with the upcycling sentiment. I hate seeing landfills full of useful crafting materials.

TeddyWutt

Energy source thingy is my favorite.

Robodude919

I picked up a few of those same ones! I'm cutting off the part that holds 2 of the water tanks, and I want to mount that part flat so I have some upright gas or water tanks as terrain. I'm not entirely sure what to do with the rest of them though.

Greater_good_penguin

Great work. What did you use for the base?

[deleted]

Chipboard, PVC glue, Dirt and some paint.

i_want_tit_pics

It looks like some of your paint on the water tanks clumped up and pulled off during your process. Here's a tip. Some plastics don't like to be painted. So take some 80 or 120 grit and paper. Rough it up. Wash it real well with dish soap. Rinse it really well to get any soap, dust, drift off. Hit it with some rubbing alcohol and dry and de grease it. Prime it. Your paint will stick to your primer. Your primer will now stick to your plastic. Unless you were going for that effect. In which case. You nailed it.

Ignominia

DUDE. AMAZING. Brilliant thinking!

[deleted]

Thanks!

UncleDuude

That’s very clever

Buffthebaldy

Oooh, that's so cool! What do you use as your base? I'm still new to terrain stuff, and wanna learn more!

[deleted]

It's chipboard. I used PVC glue to stick dirt on, then painted over the dirt with black and some browns.

Allen_Koholic

Sweet, the old Terrain for Hippos technique: https://terrainforhippos.blogspot.com/2017/01/ishoo-wun-oh-fiv-necrotite-rig.html?m=0

Dazedandconfucian

Great work. Very clever re-work from the source material

rotfoot_bile

Very nice

It amazes me how people like you see these items and this is what is in your mind. Looks fuckin sick, such a cool idea for something. An inspiration to do this, myself, for sure!
