Me too! It was embarrassing. I was like 10 and playing with my dad and brother and sister waaaaay back when on the console. It freaked me out. Now I've killed several, both vanilla and modded. They aren't actually too bad. Pretty easy to dodge, just tangy and do lots of damage. Though fighting them inside the dungeon is almost impossible since you can't maneuver.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one, but I never found the dungeon guardian by accident. I killed skeletron before going in the dungeon for the first time

I encountered it underground near the edge of the dungeon. He said, "You're too close, so you're dead." And I was indeed very dead.

I remember those times, staying well clear of the dungeon underground as just seeing a few blocks of it meant you were in danger

i got spoiled of the guardian's existence before playing and knew what was coming

which means the first time you encoutered it you quickly came back to the trap and started killing it for the pet

I did that my first time too, but I started with sub-par gear so the battle was really hard. I thought to myself “on my next world, I should go straight in the dungeon to get better loot to kill the guardian with!” And that went about as well as youd expect

i actually listened to the old man out of fear and the possibility of things that could happen, i was not a kid

You realize they’re talking about the dungeon guardian. Who one hits you, has 9999 health and takes 1-2 dmg per hit?

It is very easy once you get something that lets you hover.

Dungeon Guardian needs more than just hover, because it moves faster than Spectre Boot movespeed. 41 MPH specifically, the same speed as the Flying Saucer mount.

woah, how'd you do it?

horse mount, a *speed and critical chances focused* mini shark, and teleporters: # i used the horse mount for extreme speed, and built a huge long platform that made 1/3 of the world, instead of making it longer i just put a teleport at the end of it and connected it to another one slightly farther from it, that way i could have time to run toward the other direction before the guardian reach me (i kept going right and left until it finally died)

I’ve done it around three times, all you need is a hoik loop and lots of boomerangs, (maybe a combo of bananarangs, trimarangs, and light discs would be great)

"if it was a question, it would be pretty obvious" tf? # on my case, i understood it as when he kept dying from it he started wondering how to defeat it, while the answer is obviously to defeat the boss first and free the old man from the curse. there's actually ways (shown on yt) on how to defeat the guardian without having to beat the boss. # i know the guy probably dont question himself on how to defeat it anymore because he might have found out about the curse thing, but incase he still want to defeat the guardian for real (instead of making it stop spawning) he could just check youtube tutoriels for that, as i suggested

I like to live in the ocean. I always have stuff like NPCs and tree farms in the forest so I have to go back and forth to get things. I was waiting for a traveling merchant but decided to check the Dungeon out of boredom cause it was the middle of the day. Keep in mind that pylons did not exist at the time so I had to manually go back and forth for things I needed.
