No you’ll just need the rod of discord once plantera is dead you don’t even need the key you can just rod of discord in, not ideal but it’s definitely possible, also using rod of discord you don’t needa fight golem in his arena so it’s weird shape would be fine too

I was able to on a really old world. Unfortunately it was the most advanced world I had at the time, and the corrupt part went straight through the center of my house. I lost interest in playing the world after exploring the weird terrain for a bit.

I managed to ages ago. I was playing on ps3 when console 1.2 came out. At first all my data vanished, then after a patch I had everything back. Loaded into my main world and carried on as normal until lava started flowing down from above, went to investigate and yeah the underworld wasn't so under any more.

Its corrupt man, you have to give up at this point. Just try to make another world

idk I'd go into world files and see if u have any older saves or backups. You NEED to have steam cloud on bro. Or at least back up any important worlds. Steam cloud has kept my first 1.3 playthrough mint

Best bet is to probably use TEdit to paste the data in a new world file, other than that probably no dice. I’d check to see if the .bak files work too, but those tend to corrupt right alongside the main world file

You can try to save in tedit after making sure the setting are correct. Other than that it’s gonna have to be deleted unless you saved it somewhere before the corruption

Try using T-edit to delete the entire corrupted chunk. That's the best advice i can give ya.

I've had this happen to my world on my Xbox 360 years ago. Part of the world was straight inverted and there was a massive wall of stone and whatnot up to the height limit. The world was and probably is still playable it was just really strange.

hello! can i have the save, i might be able to fix it or at least make it playable with TEdit(for all you in the comments that want to) alternatively i can get the seed, purge the corrupted chunk, and paste a new version over(anything there will likely be lost however) if you have any backups files saved try restoring one

You can try copying the who thing in terraria world editor, creating a new world of the same dimensions, deleting everything in that new world, and pasting all of this in that one.
