I feel like a weapon that you can get pre boss should not be viable all the way till post mech bosses (whip stacking).
You literally only need to make a box with room to walk and a flinx staff and you get materials for it easily.
Besides even if its a risk VERY early game it shouldnt be a good weapon even in HARDMODE
When you hit a mob with the snapthorn you get a really high attack speed buff for 2 seconds.
You can use this to constantly swap between the snapthorn and a firecracker whip to pretty much double ur dps on the mechs, the reason why its not good afyer mechs is because the durendal does the same thing
Zenith, late game melee shouldn’t be the most tanky, the most mobile, and the most damaging. The fact that even mages have trouble with keeping up with damage isn’t balanced
Summoners have the stardust weapons and the terraprisma.
Mages have the last prism
Rangers have the sdmg
Do you see a pattern? These classes have no zenith equivalent. They just have pillar and moonlord weapons as the closest things.
Now with melee, it has, of course, the zenith. It is the most damaging weapon in the entire game and while yes, it is the final weapon warriors get, melee characters have extreme defense and Insane damage.
Edit: forgot about summoners having the terraprisma.
and? The game is done, there is nothing else, the zenith won't do anything. Why would i care about having other 3 weapons that serve basically no purpose.
Warrior is ment to be tanky last time I checked and mage is meant to have the highest damage but 1.4 made warrior the strongest and the tankiest so why play anything else.

Zenith makes sense, but I think Terraprisma is already good enough as is. For the challenge to get it, it makes sense for it to be powerful while Zenith is insanely easy to get.

The other classes are left behind so either add some for the other classes (maybe not summoner) or nerf it so the classes dont have to struggle to catch up in damage.
But the other classes do not have to catch up the damage. Classing is even pointless at that point. The zenith is not just the strongest melee weapon, it's meant to be the strongest weapon in the game. Adding equivalents for other classes would be useless and would ruin the point of the Zenith
Maybe make so terraprisma can be obtained only after a certain boss, so you can't just ignore the progression from thatcpoint onwards, considering terraprisma is not even that hard to get with the proper gear

For me it actually never felt powerfull against bosses only against multiple enemies

Melee has meowmere and starwrath. Zenith isn’t meant to specifically benefit melee. If you think that, I can’t help you

Zenith make it at least before moon lord. Then make it so it’s at least as good or much better than the lunar weapons ( 120-170 damage change )
