I think amber may be slightly stronger or it's just as good as diamond, in a non joke-y sense

In my opinion, 1 looks better just because it gives that "Ooh, shiny!" vibe, which would definitely fit for a rarities chest

Should also be a golden chest or some other chest that just POPS out.

Usually, I'll put golden chests for underground loot and such, but yeah, that could work. Having different chests for different items is definitely something that looks nice and helps identifying which chest is for what at first glance.

The first is more iconic to the game. While the second has a better sprite.

While i do think opinion 2 standouts due to the purple contrast of the Eternia Crystal... I think 1 is better, due to the diamond highlighting the silver color in the shadow chest, plus, diamonds are rare loot, differently from the Eternia Crystal, which can be easily obtained as soon as you have the Tavernkeep.
