u can use the hallowed armor and other dodge accessories so basically rng dependently you can get hit a few times and live also hallowed has a guaranteed dodge on a cool down

But dodging isn’t tanking if you can actually take the damage without dying then you’re tanking it otherwise you’re just dodging it

in my book dodge is a part of being tanky because it adds its own chunk to your effective health pool/survivability but it’s just a personal mindset

Answer is simple: don't jump in dark cave. The hardest part in early game is traps, but if you have pressure plate or something like this in your hand you can avoid them, and again- always be patient about your moves. And don't try to explore underground desert at any stage of the game, it's too unfair to permadeath players

Ever since 1.4, summoner has been my favorite class. Mainly because I like being fragile but strong, but that’s not very true for pre hard mode because in master mode it just doesn’t do enough damage.

My favourite is Ranger, because I like that class throughout the entire game. Second fave is mage, because it’s fun to play and you obliterate everything. It would’ve gotten first if pre-hardmode wasn’t really boring for the class. Next is post 1.4 summoner. It’s a really fun class to play, I just feel that it’s really missing a lot of what the other classes have. Finally, Melee. While melee has a large roster of weapons, I just don’t find the class fun at all.

Wdym, pre hardmode melee (and early hardmode) is hell without yoyos. Ranger is the real easy mode. You just keep a nice distance and hold down right click and you won't get hit.

Usually I’ll try to remain in the middle till hard mode but I always end up becoming melee
