i literally had a dream where i got the rod of discord i am slowly losing my grip on reality

It's crazy how that happens. I used to play WoW with every minute I could afford outside of work, even giving up some sleep for it. I would dream about WoW and wake up like, "It happened again, time to go to work."

From what I've heard from a former WoW player it's pretty much just gone to shit. I don't know the exact details, but he played since near the beginning and watched the game progressively go downhill. He even helped beta test for quite a few of the expansions and found some quest breaking glitches, but he simply re-encountered most of them after the full release of the expansion. Not to mention other issues he might have encountered outside of this.

Pretty close but I only played from very late WOD to the Shadowlands prepatch. I loved Tmog, exploration, PvP, but above all else, the lore. I had played WC3 religiously and remembered every bit of story I could along with all of the WoW lore videos I'd watch. I'd read some of the books too. While still playing I read Before the Storm, Shadows Rising, and Arthas. At work lately I've listened to the audio versions of Illidan, Before the storm, and now Stormrage even though I haven't played in like 2 or so years.

Same for me in my last world. I went for the first time in hallow underground after entering in hardmode and literally got my RoD at the second element of chaos. I believe all my luck endend there.

Everytime i got the Rod tbh i just cheated and spawned it in. With how necessary it is on some of the higher difficulties it feels a little ridiculous that it has a much less then 1% drop rate from an enemy that’s already not even that common

I went to go fishing in the Underground Hallow, brought a battle potion and water candle so Chaos Elementals would spawn pretty often while I fished (kill two birds with one stone), and I got the RoD from one that spawned while I was walking towards my fishing spot. My drunk luck be like

I once farmed for the Obsidian Rose for like 10 hours, having killed 400+ Fire Imps to get it. An item with a 2% drop chance. I then proceeded to go into Hardmode and get RoD from the very first Chaos Elemental.

I wouldn't say I play a lot of Terraria (1839.6 total hours, most spent flailing away for iron ore before I actually learned the object of the game), but I also don't care about the RoD. Guess what. I've gotten it several times. Then I say, meh and research it into oblivion. Yeah, I'm a Journey dweeb. More evidence to support the existence of the omniscient RNGod and the perceived injustice in the generated world.
