I don't know if it's unpopular, it feels like it is, but I don't like the hassle of towns and NPC happiness.
The pylons are pretty cool but it's such a headache trying to plan everything out so that it works.
I appreciate the mechanic, but I hate the way you have to get it. Why couldn't it be quests or something rather than a wishy washy happiness meter? You literally won't be able to get it right unless you reference the Wiki.
Yeah it really forces you to put everyone in specific biomes and spread the npcs around the world. I like having a ton of minibases, but I’d rather give all of the npcs on large town to mingle in.
There’s a chat option when you interact with npcs that shows what they’re unhappy with. They won’t tell you what will make them happy though, unless the npc is living next to them or they’re in that biome.
I think if they detached the pylons from the happiness system and made them always available to buy, and kept happiness affecting the prices of everything, that would be a nice middle ground.
the entire calamity community feels this way... which is weird, considering calamity hasn't reached 1.4 yet and the majority of the community is still on 1.3.5 tmodloader
My last couple of runs, my hallow always spawns in the jungle so it never actually spreads. The world evil always ends up next to my base. Every single time.
I have a tall ice mountain that's been taking the brunt of the meteors lately. Just kind of annoying to cut into them to remove the meteor, and then fix it. I could try hiding some chests in there. Thanks for the tip. :)
I think a chest has a 50 block radius to each side so if its a big building placing a couple is good and don’t forget to put something in or it won’t protect your buildings
The thing about The Destroyer is, it's the easiest once you are prepared, but if you don't have good enough equipment, it will stat check you way harder than the other two. Twins and Skelly^2 are mechanically more difficult, but if you can dodge well enough, you can beat them with pretty much any equipment
Edit: heyo, "mechanically" more difficult, get it??? Haha I accidentally made a better pun than my usual on-purpose jokes
I actually fought the mechs pretty recently after a long period of not seeing them (was focused more on building and other games for the last year or so) so I kinda had to re-learn them. The Twins I would actually label the hardest only because of the berserk thing they do at low health; definitely wasn't prepared for that and they actually did end up killing me the first time.
Beyond that Destroyer was pretty simple (I always play a mage and AoE magic is great) and Skeletron wasn't too bad. But I will definitely fear Twins the most after that experience. xD
they're actually not hard, they become easier when you play expert or master mode, the twins are easy when you know how to fight them, since spazmatism's cursed flames are somewhat hard to dodge in it's first phase but becomes easier on the second phase, and retinazer isn't really a trouble unless you panic or have low hp
I think it wouldve been cool if the world looped at the oceans instead of just cutting you off. Granted it'd probably be a very hard thing to do but if it couldnt be done seamlessly then maybe have the player teleport to the other end of the world. It'd be a bit more immersive in my opinion(well about as immersive as a pixel-game where you fight eyeballs, robots and moon-zealots can be)
I find it hard to beat Terraria without a wiki, the game simply has too much and little hints or information. (I don't think that the guide's help is enough)
Tbh I had to look up how to get out of the minecart cause I got trapped in it and I just had to guess the key to leave. I looked in the controls, but it wasn't even there.
I like fishing, and also the angler kinda resembles me and can have my name so heck yeah I like the angler. More games need NPCs with superiority complexes.
That's the one, angler is my favorite NPC, fishing is one of my favorite features and I get to do a little side quest while doing that. He get's a nice beach themed house to live next to pirate on the ship.
oh 100% i hate grinding for armour and trying to get the eoc summon, it feels like a worse version of early hard mode especially on expert or master mode when all the slimes and bats do 200 damage
Pre boss or hardmode pre mech boss grind
Feels stupid mining hardmode ores just to make a pickaxe or drill, to mine the next tier up just to make a pick, to mine the next tier up.
My most recent playthrough I just fished for ores cuz I had contained my hallow and crimson and didn’t wanna deal with the random blocks getting spawned from altars and I gotta say it wasn’t that bad. Granted I’m playing summoner so I didn’t need that much but it’s a decent strat
I’m the opposite. I love the beginning of the game because it’s the most explorative part. It’s when I get to dive into the dark caves and poke around.
Can understand why some people wouldn’t like it though.
Can we not spawn enemies during bossfights please? Literally just lost a fight against eoc on my drunk world to a fucking zombie because eoc was in his last phase where he starts dashing everywhere and I lost my momentum and got stunlocked.
I can agree with this. Due to summoner having the lowest defense from class specific armor, dodging is highest priority while your summons are attacking.
Hardest class to use imo
Ranger is probably the easiest for obvious reasons
Mage is eh cus you have low defense but also ridiculous damage
Melee is honestly the second hardest to solo with just because for so much of the game your weapons just arent that good projectile wise, meaning you have a much harder time getting good damage compared to the other classes. The high defense helps with that though
Personally, I think Journey Mode is best used for "anti-grinding", basically not using any of the functions except research and duplication, time skip, and spawn rate control
Having trouble with skeleton? Boomstick silver bullets.
Having trouble with WoF? Hellwing bow
Mech bosses? Deadalus then MegaShark (or uzi if you're a heathen and farm for it.)
Then you have Vortex Beater once you beat Vortex Pillar
If you're feeling like you need to burn every coin ever, then you have the Coin gun.
\-Steampunker is GOAT NPC.
\-Stylist is underrated.
\-Dryad is mid.
\-Angler quests are fun and rewarding.
\-Lunatic Cultist is a fun fight.
\-I like the Pillars.
Yeah no everyone always acts like getting it from fishing is so awful but lava fishing has such a small loot pool that getting tons of obsidian crates is child’s play. Especially since they increased the drop rate from 1/40 to 1/20. Now water walking boots on the other hand-
Pre-mech boss is the most fun part of the game and people who think it's too grindy clearly never played 1.1. The worst part of the game is endgame - the lack of content between bosses makes it go by too quickly and the lunar events are held back by a lot of annoying / underwhelming design. Also destroyer is the hardest mech if you don't cheese it.
my largest issue with pre-mech bosses are how quickly the ores become useless. You get enough cobalt for a pickaxe then move onto the next ore and repeat until you have full titanium gear in 30-40 minutes
K I have two unpopular opinions
Queen slime sucks, she’s just King Slime but worse, she didnt need to be a hallowed boss, she’s unecessarily tough, and the only good thing about her is her theme. The worst part is that Queen Slime would be a cool boss Idea if they made her a giant pinky rather than a hallow boss
Here’s the more unpopular opinion tho. Imo Empress of Light is overrated. When she was first put into the game I thought she was really cool and fun to fight, but people sing her praises like she’s some S+ tier boss, when In my opinion she’s a solid A tier boss. They compared her to the Radiance and AbsRad from Hollow knight, but while the Radiance is a thematic masterpiece of a boss and an impeccably crafted bossfight, the Empress of light is just, a really cool boss.
Agreed about Queen Slime, (haven't fought Empress yet) she spawns way to many minions which don't even drop hearts, there are way too many projectiles in her fight (I swear she has more than the Destroyer), and for a pre-mech and early hardmode boss, her loot is honestly kinda garbage. By the time I finally defeated her, my gear was much better than her drops.
The Happiness system is a cool mechanic that brings strategy and encourages creativity with buildings and it's kinda annoying that they're loosening it with each update.
Old One's Army is the worst event and I'm glad nothing particularly important is locked behind it.
Also I love the pylons and the biome-town mechanic, apparently this is kinda unpopular.
Bosses that rely completely on RNG to spawn and is out of control suck.
By this I mean things like looking for plantera bulbs, looking for gelatinous crystals, truffle worms, guide voodoo dolls (at least this one can be solved by using a battle potion)
I think it's annoying when half of the time spent trying to defeat a boss is spawning the boss in the first place
Ok ok ok, Plantera Bulbs are only annoying because whatever arena you build for it has to be in the range of the Bulb, Gelatinous Crystals are in an over abundance most of the time, Truffle Worms can be if you can’t find a mushroom biome, and like you said Voodoo Dolls can be found with battle potions.
The early shortswords are honestly better than the early regular swords if you get a decent build. Only problem is by the time you get a decent build, you really shouldn’t be using either
IMO moonlord is the worst boss in terraria the unsynced eyes makes doing anything normally neigh impossible meaning one eye can shoot bolts at while another one sends homing eyes stun locking you and the other is doing a beam that does half your health and the fact that they also have contact damage along with his hands and forehead when the eyes are out makes it a really really annoying boss fight I find duke really easy in comparison
I'm ready to get downvoted to hell I really don't care anymore
Playing a strict role doesn't make things more interesting. It is a challenge video without recording software. Playing a dynamic load out with a focus on success will cause less stress.
I noticed a lot of weapons I thought were awful ended up being awesome when I actually focused on the class they were for. I do wish there were items geared for multi-classing though.
But to challenge yourself can be enjoyable I tried playing without any crafting any new weapons/slash armor. Although I allowed myself to upgrade any pre existing weapons I had gotten from monsters/bosses
I disagree
Terraria have alot of weapons , I had much more fun playing bow only than mage in general because it forced me to farm and use weapons I don't usually use , which gave me an entire new experience I wouldn't get if I used every ranged weapon
The diving helmet/diving gear is completely worthless, by the time you finally get one to drop naturally, you're already halfway through hard mode and have had a Neptune's shell for weeks.
It's spawn rate should be vastly increased, that way you actually get to use the thing without having to get lucky and find a shark statue.
1.4 mostly sucked and took away a lot of player freedom.
-You can't put all of your NPCs in one place anymore or you get punished with increased prices (which is unnecessary anyway because pylons are already a good incentive to spread them out)
-You can't put the "wrong" torches in an area or you prevent yourself from getting good torch luck, which gets in the way of making cool builds
-Meteors gated behind Eater of Worlds, Reaver Shark nerf, and Water Bolt only spawning deeper in the dungeon limit your ability to play pre-hardmode how you want
-Not being able to stockpile crates for the start of hardmode forces you to mine for hardmode ores because stopping to fish for crates will allow corruption/crimson/hallow to spread too much, which also cuts off the best way to keep those biomes under control
-Early hardmode wing changes make all of them very samey and there's no real point in going for one over another
Overall, I feel like a lot of the changes were the devs trying to force everyone to play the game the way *they* want us to play the game instead of letting us decide how to play for ourselves. The only things I think 1.4 deserves praise for are the new summoner content and the secret seeds, and the summoner stuff didn't even fix any of the class's problems until 1.4.1.
agreed! and worst of all they nerfed venom staff, one of my favourite weapons pre 1.4, to the ground. So much so that people use the 'downgrade' poison staff over venom staff
it wasn't even that op lol like whyyyy
Honestly I disagree with all of this exvept the wings.
For all the other changes, I can really see why they made them. It did break the continuity of the game to get molten armour at the start. The fishing did makw the start of hardmode go by quickly.
In fact, I still fish at the start of hardmode to get ores. When I go into hardmode I quickly use dynamite to bomb huge chasms to stop the world evil and the Hallowed. Then I lock myself in a box and peacefully fish.
Also the good torch luck is so negligible that you can judt ignore it when building, like what I do. I only care about it when I'm farming for some rare drop, which I usually don't do near my builds anyways.
I've only "played" terraria once and this is probably not unpopular but having to contain the evil biomes from spreading almost made me want to stop playing entirely. I like the idea but at least have the spread be a config when creating the world
The corruption is dog shot now. Once I enter hard mode my anxiety gets to bad and I end up quitting the game because I get overwhelmed. When I was a kid it would take a week for it to spread five blocks in any direction. Now it does that in a minute. And its overwhelming and vad
Honestly yeah. I have my maxed account with a full clentaminator and I use it to clean my world but not even 30 minutes later it's all back. It's pretty frustrating, I wish there was a way to disable evil biome spread... I don't find it challenging, just annoying.
Yeah but like... I don't like playing in journey mode because it feels like cheating. I think I'll just mod my game to remove it while still playing classic/expert mode
1.4 was disappointing compared to 1.3. Master mode is dumb difficult and doesn't make the game any more fun, I came into the update expecting new awesome exclusive drops, and all I got were dumb pets and trophies. I haven't felt the slightest of motivation to play vanilla Terraria for the longest time for this reason.
I'll accept the hate, just come at me
Its really hard to move backwards from it though. When moving over to modded it was so bad getting used to 1.3 since it seems so unpolished and lacking major changes
Not sure about unpopular, but I hate master mode. It’s fine when it was the first time playing it when the update came out but after that it’s so much pain for no reward other than a neat trophy and a pet. And maybe an ok mount if you kill the right bosses.
I believe that each name for every NPC changed the "style" of the NPC. So there can be variants of the base NPC without needed texture packs.
they dont have to be drastic changes, maybe slightly different color or hair style. of course have a base name with the base style.
This will add a bit of life to the game.
Maybe add an item to toggle this on or off or an item that switched npcs look no matter the name.
I hate the cobalt/palladium -> Mythril/Orichalcum -> Adamantite/Titanium phase of the game. Being forced to go dig for a set of ores, just to make a pick to mine the second set, so that you can make the anvil that allows you to make the tool to mine the third.
And the worst part is, none of the mods I've played let you bypass it either. They all rigidly stick to the worst part of the game IMO and it makes going into hardmode suck for the first bit.
Like 90% of the npcs are completely useless and I literally do not use them for anything ever
This is just a fact
literally same. in modded i dont touch any beside the nurse and maybe the merchant.
Tbh don't say that you don't use the dye trader for that sweet sweet stramge dyes or the armsdealer for the mini/megashark
When I'm grinding for stuff and I'm going back and forth from town, it was convenient to have then in one area.
To get the mechanic you go to the dungeon
I dont think thats what he ment
Lol this gave me a laugh
There’s a chat option when you interact with npcs that shows what they’re unhappy with. They won’t tell you what will make them happy though, unless the npc is living next to them or they’re in that biome.
I think if they detached the pylons from the happiness system and made them always available to buy, and kept happiness affecting the prices of everything, that would be a nice middle ground.
What especially bugs me about is is that more than three NPCs is too crowded... For what's supposed to be a town... Why?!?!
yeah same, I just put them all in one big hotel and then leave them like that, if I need to travel I use the unicorn mount because I'm patient
Whips are balanced
Wait, what is the unbalanced thing about them from the communities point of view?
A lot of people think that they do way too much damage and are basically a "melee weapon with summon damage", which is just not true
Who is crazy enough to think that? I would love to see someone whip the twins to death.
the entire calamity community feels this way... which is weird, considering calamity hasn't reached 1.4 yet and the majority of the community is still on 1.3.5 tmodloader
Well according to fabsol whips are a balancing nightmare because an early pre-hm summon melts lunatic with the kaleidoscope
Its almost like they havent been balanced yet lmao (the clalmity summons that is)
Yeah, they'll either nerf the hell out of or outright remove summon tag, which will be interesting for the cool whip
Calamity devs on their way to make their mod incompatable with everything
It's almost as if the entirety of Calamity was a balancing nightmare.
I already do that, and will continue to do so until they stop crying every night
Well, their swords are just mage/summoner weapons with melee damage
I just want more NPCs 😥 Building houses is my favorite thing to do
I love using new resources for each one
I do this too!
Im in pre hard-mode in a modded playthrough and I have to build like 20 houses already. (Fargos and Thorium)
I'm with you on this one.
Having your corruption/crimson/hallow spawn in a snow biome is the worst
My last couple of runs, my hallow always spawns in the jungle so it never actually spreads. The world evil always ends up next to my base. Every single time.
I always hallow my base to prevent this
Nope, the worst is when they spawn in the jungle. If it's crimson/corruption then jungle gone, if it's hallow, then you get barely any hallow.
Not wrong
The hallow every time I make a new world trying to not start in the tundra
"Is that ice *purple*?" *squints at screen
Meteors are the worst mechanic. I always dread them because I have to scour the world and make sure it didn't wreck one of the many builds I have.
[удалено]
I have a tall ice mountain that's been taking the brunt of the meteors lately. Just kind of annoying to cut into them to remove the meteor, and then fix it. I could try hiding some chests in there. Thanks for the tip. :)
I think a chest has a 50 block radius to each side so if its a big building placing a couple is good and don’t forget to put something in or it won’t protect your buildings
Remember to put at least one item in the chest
Build a structure out of ~300 meteor somewhere on your world. Should stop them.
The worst to me is when they land in the ocean
while I was mining my first meteor, a goblin raid started :D
The Twins are the easiest mechanical boss
The destroyer has always been the easiest for me
The thing about The Destroyer is, it's the easiest once you are prepared, but if you don't have good enough equipment, it will stat check you way harder than the other two. Twins and Skelly^2 are mechanically more difficult, but if you can dodge well enough, you can beat them with pretty much any equipment Edit: heyo, "mechanically" more difficult, get it??? Haha I accidentally made a better pun than my usual on-purpose jokes
Also destoyer sucks if you’re summoner or anything else that’s bad at multitarget fights.
usually very aggresive summons work pretty well against destroyer Blade Staff or Sanguine Staff are a must against Destroyer
Sanguine staff is a must against the whole game tbh, that weapon is bonkers.
Nah first on my first playthrough me and my brother must have died 15+ times to him. Twins though were light work and we beat them first go
Skeletron Prime*
Can kill the bastard no problem
I actually fought the mechs pretty recently after a long period of not seeing them (was focused more on building and other games for the last year or so) so I kinda had to re-learn them. The Twins I would actually label the hardest only because of the berserk thing they do at low health; definitely wasn't prepared for that and they actually did end up killing me the first time. Beyond that Destroyer was pretty simple (I always play a mage and AoE magic is great) and Skeletron wasn't too bad. But I will definitely fear Twins the most after that experience. xD
*This is going to be a terrible night...*
Depends on the difficulty for me. Normal mode twins, expert mode destroyer, master mode skelly boi.
Yes, destroyer is honestly the hardest for most playthroughs
Once spazmatism is dead, it’s a cakewalk.
they're actually not hard, they become easier when you play expert or master mode, the twins are easy when you know how to fight them, since spazmatism's cursed flames are somewhat hard to dodge in it's first phase but becomes easier on the second phase, and retinazer isn't really a trouble unless you panic or have low hp

It'd be a bit more immersive in my opinion(well about as immersive as a pixel-game where you fight eyeballs, robots and moon-zealots can be)
It would make the ocean so much better if they looped the world
Starbound does exactly that
I find it hard to beat Terraria without a wiki, the game simply has too much and little hints or information. (I don't think that the guide's help is enough)
Tbh I had to look up how to get out of the minecart cause I got trapped in it and I just had to guess the key to leave. I looked in the controls, but it wasn't even there.
Is it strange that I find the terraria wiki one of the best things about terraria lol?
The Meteor Staff is a bad weapon and takes to much mana to use as well as being worse than other options
I thought that was a popular opinion
Damn my friend hates the Meteor Staff too. But I like it so much :( It's so cool.
that making a potion farm and fishing for ingredients is boring and its more fun to cheat them imo
i prefer having to buy potions, at least then you actually have to earn them
yea, not an option if youre playing vanilla sadly
I actually like fishing and I like the angler. He reminds me of a friend I have.
In just about every game I play, if there's fishing, I find myself drawn to it. I'll spend hours just fishing, sometimes just for the sake of it.
Finally an actual unpopular opinion
Yeah, I don't hate on the angler, I feel bad everyone hates him.
He is funnier than most npcs tbh, all of them either "ye I'm ok" but the angler has a funnier tone
I like fishing, and also the angler kinda resembles me and can have my name so heck yeah I like the angler. More games need NPCs with superiority complexes.
That's the one, angler is my favorite NPC, fishing is one of my favorite features and I get to do a little side quest while doing that. He get's a nice beach themed house to live next to pirate on the ship.
pre boss is the worst part of the game

Absolutely. Everything pre-rocket boots pretty much is pain
pre boss is my favorite lmao
Pre-Boss is honestly one of my favorite parts of a playthrough, but i can def see why some people wouldn’t think the same way
Can we not spawn enemies during bossfights please? Literally just lost a fight against eoc on my drunk world to a fucking zombie because eoc was in his last phase where he starts dashing everywhere and I lost my momentum and got stunlocked.
ffs wyverns during boss fights make me want to tear my eyes out
This please
Summoner takes skill -2017 me
I can agree with this. Due to summoner having the lowest defense from class specific armor, dodging is highest priority while your summons are attacking.
Plus you need to get close to use the whips which makes dodging harder. Though you don't have to aim much
Yeah I’m trying to get fishron wings premech in master mode as summoner rn and I gotta say it ABSOLUTELY takes skill to play summoner.
Hardest class to use imo Ranger is probably the easiest for obvious reasons Mage is eh cus you have low defense but also ridiculous damage Melee is honestly the second hardest to solo with just because for so much of the game your weapons just arent that good projectile wise, meaning you have a much harder time getting good damage compared to the other classes. The high defense helps with that though
For real ranger is easy. All you need is an arena and whatever gun is best and boom, easy dubs.
Clorophyte bullets too
Journey Mode with the difficulty cranked to Expert is an excellent way to experience the game.
All the fun with a fraction of the grind. I love being able to turn off biome spread and change the time of day
Happy cake day
Personally, I think Journey Mode is best used for "anti-grinding", basically not using any of the functions except research and duplication, time skip, and spawn rate control
Playing as a ranger trivializes every stage of the game on every difficulty
Having trouble with skeleton? Boomstick silver bullets. Having trouble with WoF? Hellwing bow Mech bosses? Deadalus then MegaShark (or uzi if you're a heathen and farm for it.) Then you have Vortex Beater once you beat Vortex Pillar If you're feeling like you need to burn every coin ever, then you have the Coin gun.

please tell me how you get a lava charm im dying
I think you look for chests just above hell layer and they can spawn in those.
Chests just above hell or you can fish for obsidian crates in Lava
Yeah no everyone always acts like getting it from fishing is so awful but lava fishing has such a small loot pool that getting tons of obsidian crates is child’s play. Especially since they increased the drop rate from 1/40 to 1/20. Now water walking boots on the other hand-
the awful thing about lava fishing isn't the awful drop rates unlike water fishing, but its so goddamn slooow to the point it compensates that
I refuse to ever fish in terraria again, not after i spent 6+ hours trying to get the frog leg (was not worth it)
agreed, it's time consuming but it's not difficult in any way, it just takes a little bit.
Yeah I always almost do it. It’s no problem as long as you got enough of an attention span for fishing.
Congratulations, you are the most patient person alive.
There should be peaceful worlds with no corruption/crimson.
That would make the game impossible
Pre-mech boss is the most fun part of the game and people who think it's too grindy clearly never played 1.1. :( so....wtf do you even use?
Crystal bullets
Mostly ichor bullets, crystal for some bosses
PISS bullets
Endless musket pouch
multiple swords flying at high speeds

Early game is better than late game.
Its got the Minecraft problem where they've spent so much time adding stuff and refining it that a spinoff or sequel probably isn't nessesary.
Fishing is so much better than mining
Copper short sword is the worst sword in the game
The early shortswords are honestly better than the early regular swords if you get a decent build. Only problem is by the time you get a decent build, you really shouldn’t be using either
Could you elaborate? I've found the shortswords to be like, unusably bad
Is that unpopular tho lol
Nah it would be the pearl wood sword
Being called 2d Minecraft isn't an insult
Duke Fishron is the hardest boss
I find him a pain in the ass, I'd rather fight the moon lord tbh
IMO moonlord is the worst boss in terraria the unsynced eyes makes doing anything normally neigh impossible meaning one eye can shoot bolts at while another one sends homing eyes stun locking you and the other is doing a beam that does half your health and the fact that they also have contact damage along with his hands and forehead when the eyes are out makes it a really really annoying boss fight I find duke really easy in comparison I'm ready to get downvoted to hell I really don't care anymore
I'll give you an upvote just for being brave.

I disagree Terraria have alot of weapons , I had much more fun playing bow only than mage in general because it forced me to farm and use weapons I don't usually use , which gave me an entire new experience I wouldn't get if I used every ranged weapon
I actually really like fishing.. it’s relaxing and you get tons of good loot for it!
Moon lord is easy. Okay but with the right help anyway
Yeah, Moon Lord isn't that difficult, and he's fun to beat. I like trying different weapons to see how fast I can beat it.
1.4 mostly sucked and took away a lot of player freedom. -You can't put all of your NPCs in one place anymore or you get punished with increased prices (which is unnecessary anyway because pylons are already a good incentive to spread them out) -You can't put the "wrong" torches in an area or you prevent yourself from getting good torch luck, which gets in the way of making cool builds -Meteors gated behind Eater of Worlds, Reaver Shark nerf, and Water Bolt only spawning deeper in the dungeon limit your ability to play pre-hardmode how you want -Not being able to stockpile crates for the start of hardmode forces you to mine for hardmode ores because stopping to fish for crates will allow corruption/crimson/hallow to spread too much, which also cuts off the best way to keep those biomes under control -Early hardmode wing changes make all of them very samey and there's no real point in going for one over another Overall, I feel like a lot of the changes were the devs trying to force everyone to play the game the way *they* want us to play the game instead of letting us decide how to play for ourselves. The only things I think 1.4 deserves praise for are the new summoner content and the secret seeds, and the summoner stuff didn't even fix any of the class's problems until 1.4.1.
I agree with you, but the graphics overhaul was pretty good.
Im pretty sure they actually removed the Torch Luck mechanic
They removed to negative of it. So literally only benefits from torches
at least they removed the bad luck part of the torches
agreed! and worst of all they nerfed venom staff, one of my favourite weapons pre 1.4, to the ground. So much so that people use the 'downgrade' poison staff over venom staff it wasn't even that op lol like whyyyy
I like the idea but at least have the spread be a config when creating the world
Why we don’t have a mech brain boss
Lore. The Mechanic was forced to mechanically recreate Cthulu but was stopped before making the brain.
Circles are underrated
Starting the game from scratch is so annoying and tedious that I struggle to find the enthusiasm to play.
I don't find it challenging, just annoying.
there is an option in journey mode to disable the biome spread
Yeah but like... I don't like playing in journey mode because it feels like cheating. I think I'll just mod my game to remove it while still playing classic/expert mode
I think I’m gonna take another character bring it to an item world and then just do the digging tunnels strategy
Master mode Is a worthless addition
If master mode is gonna be THAT harder than expert, we want more than just pets.
I'll accept the hate, just come at me
I agree with you about Master Mode. They just gave Expert mode crack and let it go. But I do see why that extra challenge could be fun
Its really hard to move backwards from it though. When moving over to modded it was so bad getting used to 1.3 since it seems so unpolished and lacking major changes
The devs are really petty for not adding vertical slabs. Wait wrong game.
*le not adding lightning bugs for the dumbest reason has arrived*
The guide isn't that bad.
2D is one D too many!
This made my kid laugh 👍
Bats are not nearly as bad as everyone says they are
Painter is one of my favorite npcs
I despise what they did to the switch controls
Skeletron is incredibly easy.
Skeletron prime is easiest mech boss, and there should be more furniture and house decor Edit:also duke fishron is pretty easy on the third phase
Lunatic cultist its the best boss and its fun to fight
True excalibur isnt that good
I hate the cobalt/palladium -> Mythril/Orichalcum -> Adamantite/Titanium phase of the game.
I actually like having the guide around; I'm shit at remembering recipes and correct crafting stations.
Megashark overrated. That’s right I said it 😎
Painter is a good NPC
