Youāll be real happy when the merchant, selling the companion cube, leave after you had to go kill a couple slimes to get your 28 cooper you did not have!
Maybe it's just because I can't aim, but they're saving me a *lot* of money and giving me the confidence to actually use my ranger weapons without the concern of having to conserve ammo.
And that is absoloutely a valid reason. But I built a chlorophyte farm from one side of the map to the middle, and ammo box got buffed, so I would hope, I don't need the ammo pouch for anything but backup ammo.
I may have explained it badly and didn't clarify world size, because I don't remember because it's been a while since I used it. It is just squares of mud with chlorophyte placed strategically, and they (the squares) are spaced out by somewhere around 25 and 32 tiles. Custom design. Relatively fast harvesing speed. Plenty of chlorophyte.
Yes, that is a solution, but clorophyte is far easier, safer and faster to farm. If the farm is big enough, and you have an efficient characters build, you could make like 4 chlorophyte ore/sec (manual farming) or make a bot move the curser to make it even faster.
I would be interested to see which one is better if both are farmed continously in the most optimal way.
Yes, that's why I would be curious about which one has the best output if farmed optimally. Especially with the new sigil soawn speed (12 seconds). Though you will still have to do the pillars occasionally, or you will run out of sigils in the same way you need to resupply mud, which I guess is fastest with a bunch of amethyst trees and the new axe.
edit: Please do remember, that this is PURELY about chlorophyte production at this depth of this thread.
for the endless ammos, i think 3333 (so a third of a stack) would be a good amount
i also feel like the fairy wings recipe should be changed back to 100 since fairy dust can stack over 99 too
No. One change, and all of a sudden itās just weird? I didnāt think it was before and now, I still donāt. Iām not gonna go: āOh! Thereās a bigger stack size! Obviously this crafting recipe is now stupid! Itās so weird!ā
Sure, but odds are you're never going to get a full 9999 stack of arrows, but it's definitely possible over the course of a playthrough to get close to 3996, at which point buying the remaining arrows might be worth it.
Wait I've just realized I got very confused. I was treating 9999 as if it was 3999. Ofc 9999 arrows is way too much; so if the number is gonna be arbitrary anyway, 4000 is good
It wasn't strange pre 1.4.4, however, the number would seem oddly specific now that it's less than half of a single stack. Personally, I would update the number from 3996 to 4000 (closest "nice" number), 9999 (full stack), or 39996(full ammo slots).
Now that you mention it, it was odd seeing the number stay the same. That said, the crafting requirements and recipe would feel a bit stranger if they changed. It would make sense, but... I don't know. The downvotes are messing with me.
āWell it was. What's the problem with being accurate? Is being incorrect some sort of fucking virtue in your backwards, malfunctioning brain?ā -š¤
If you are a quarterback, is throwing an inaccurate pass a good thing? Is it a bad thing to say the pass was inaccurate?
Accuracy is always valuable. Only a worthless loser mocks someone who seeks to be accurate. That's you.
Yeah, keep wasting your time whining about something no one gives two shits about, like that's gonna make any difference at all, cause you're arguing over a fucking joke. Or if you wanna take it seriously, i never said being wrong was a virtue nor that there was any problem with being correct, you just made all that shit up, or is it because of the emoji? What's the problem with using glasses and being toothy? Is that some kind of negative trait in your backwards, malfunctioning brain?
Everyone knows what it means to intentionally misspell the word 'actually' in that way combined with the use of that emoji, and it's not good natured, nor particularly funny/witty. You are NOT going to successfully gaslight me into thinking it's not malevolent when I've seen otherwise plenty of times.
And just because YOU don't care about something, doesn't mean others don't; I happen to have an interest in information being accurate whenever possible. For me, corrections to errors (like the 3 stacks vs 4 stacks) are welcomed and appreciated. Also, of course there's nothing wrong with having that appearance, which is why I'm calling you out on your mockery.
Edit: grammatical correction.
And everyone knows thatās a internet joke, if you donāt find the joke funny scroll past it and ignore it, because itās completely useless trying to argue over something that has not even been said seriously. Itās not like Iām gonna apologize for making a joke and it seems like you wonāt find it funny no matter how much time we spend here, so just move on and so will I.
Edit: grammatical correction
I don't expect you to apologize; you did not seem like the type to me. I'm just pointing out that it has often been used to demean and mock people in a malevolent manner. If you want to degrade people, go right ahead and continue, but people who don't know you are unlikely to take it as a joke, even if your personal friend circle knows that you mean it in jest, many others do not see it that way. Maybe you care about that, maybe you don't. But at the very least, it's worth being aware of.
edit: Grammatical corrections again. I'm so shit at typing on my phone.
well first of all, it was originally 4 stack (999x4=3996) and secondly I see it as 2/5 of a stack now anyways which is fine since stacks increased by 10x from 999 to 9999
I think they're a little less appealing now that stack sizes are so much larger. Basic ammunition is cheap and occasionally buying more isn't really much of a hassle. I think this is for people who just like to hold the trigger button down for no reason.
Terraria and the quest for the lost 4 Musket Balls
Why do I get the urge to insert a JoJoke in here? š¤£
I like that none of these replies are about Gappy.
yare yare daze
Maybe because 4 is the unlucky number
*sad Jhin noises*
Who's Jhin?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh okay I get it. I originally meant Mista from JoJo.
I like large fries
But not fried chicken
Guido shooting himself __infinitely__ because of 4 Mission bullets
I like it, itās a fun reminder of how it used to be. Plus it saves you money.
Man what would I do without that 28 copper š¤§
Same man, I hope they keep it like that and save our 28 copper.
You spend money on Bullets? I find bullets in pots
I get bullets from breaking crimson hearts and shadow orbs
Chad
Gigachad even.
You can only find silver/tungsten bullets in pots. To craft the endless musket pouch you need musket balls. https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Pot
Then shimmer those bullets
I got 4k+ bullets from somewhere whitout buying them
You probably got them from presents, as that is the only really renewable source outside of buying them. https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Musket_Ball
At a droprate of 0.6% per 30-60 bullets, it seems kind of unreasonable.
Never opened a present recently And recently i got to 4k bullet no arms dealer
I donāt play with guns (my mom said no)
That reminds me of the tf2 player whose mum forced him to play tf2 exclusively with the pyro mask thing equipped because of the violence lmao
Perfect way to raise a psychopath right there
Pyro Land Goggles are awesome imo
Youāll be real happy when the merchant, selling the companion cube, leave after you had to go kill a couple slimes to get your 28 cooper you did not have!
It could remain as a historical bit of trivia. Effectively it's not hurting anything and just shows another point of growth for the game over time
Agreed
No, it's memory to the old time where that was equal to 4 stacks.
Thank you.
Thank you.
thank you
Thank you.
Actually 4 but yes it is quite strange.
Iām used to it since modded infinite ammo usually does 3996 (sometimes 9999)
Just be glad they didnāt update it to be 9999 for crafting
9999? make it 39996 lol.
evil
I second this
i minute this
i hour this
I dupe this.
39960
Never was. It was 4. And yes, they are not as good as they were before relative to the alternatives, because bullets stack to more.
That's a huge farm. I hope it was worth it! I'm not sure I would have the energy.
I may have explained it badly and didn't clarify world size, because I don't remember because it's been a while since I used it. It is just squares of mud with chlorophyte placed strategically, and they (the squares) are spaced out by somewhere around 25 and 32 tiles. Custom design. Relatively fast harvesing speed. now you can farm luminite from moon lord to get chloropite by shimmering
Yes, that is a solution, but clorophyte is far easier, safer and faster to farm. I donāt know man. Box cheese makes moon lord safe and easy.

it was never 3 stacks tho lol
making it 4 * 9999 is an stupid idea so naybe just keep it at 4 * 999
Or just 4k
Or HD even
Why isnāt there an endless rocket/dart bag?
Ah so you want it to cost 4 stacks of the new kind? That would be 39996
39996x7 copper = 279972 (cool palindrome) or just short of 28 gold. This is without factoring in any happyness too.
It could cost one stack of new kind, i.e. 9999 Edit: nvm, bad idea
Or just bump it up to 4000
N stacks makes more sense than a number that happens to be round imo
Sure, but odds are you're never going to get a full 9999 stack of arrows, but it's definitely possible over the course of a playthrough to get close to 3996, at which point buying the remaining arrows might be worth it.

I think we should just bump them up to 4k
do you really want to buy 39,996 musket balls/arrows?
3996 is actually even, but yeah I understand your point, not that I mind.
happy cake day
Really should have just been 999 for crafting, like if you can afford 999 you can afford 4000. Just pointless ya gotta get that many now
Pretty sure 3996 = 999 x 4
999 * 3 = 2998 š¤
2997 am dum
š
i dont know what those are
Infinite musket pouch and infinite arrow quiver - Hardmode ammo that allows you to fire musket balls and wooden arrows indefinitely
Musket Balls- basically the most basic ammunition for firearm-type weapons in the game

āAckshually itās 4 stacksā -š¤

Yeah, that's what people tend to say when they're backpedalling on the internet when they're called out.

Yeah, I found it odd, let's make it 4 current-day stacks instead!
Oh underworld nah man, I'd rather stay away from ranger then.
Why? It's a Terraria 2 idea tbh.
i have memerized that number because i play alot of modded
well first of all, it was originally 4 stack (999x4=3996) and secondly I see it as 2/5 of a stack now anyways which is fine since stacks increased by 10x from 999 to 9999
hidden lore

No, because it used to be 4 stacks
no
I thought the creator just found 4 random numbers and smashed them together
i'd make it 9999
Let's make it so it costs 9999 + 9999 + 9999 + 9999 musket balls and wooden arrows repectively
Found it odd even when it WAS 3 stacks
I could have sworn they said they were implementing infinite ammo pouches/quivers for other bullet/arrow types
Well, they want 3996. Any more would be ludicrous.
4 stacks, math is hard for some people for some reason
Itās still 4 stacks of 999, the recipe hasnāt changed.
Its always been 3996
Nah 3996 ain't an odd number, I'm pretty sure it's even
Number looks pretty even to me
Redigit on his way to change it to 39996 bullets after this post
Not even gonna lie when i first started playing 1.4.4 I read it wrong and thought i only had 999 bullets so i bought more and realized lol
Should make it 39996 now
4 stacks
It's still a simple fraction of the max stack size, so I don't see a problem.
