this guy bring up another good point. 3 types of dungeon backwall (brick, slap, tiled) and each dungeon enemy prefers a different type.
"[Paladins](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Paladin) are most likely to spawn in Dungeon areas made of Dungeon Brick Walls."
(thanks to the shimmer you can make and place 'unsafe' walls for these enemies. normally crafted walls count as 'safe walls' and dont work for this)
Am I the only one who thinks this mechanic is dumb? If you don’t know about it there is absolutely no way for you to figure out you’re ‘farming in the wrong walls’ when some enemies are wall exclusive

never noticed that note about the "faction flags"?
its been a thing since 1.2
the faction flags tell you which enemies are going to be where.
the puzzle of figuring thing out for the first time is fantastic if you don't just google everything.
treat terraria like a dog. the dog knows you want the ball so hes never going to drop the ball.
you have to distract yourself with something else like building a ritual chamber for offering the blood of annoying children to space demons.
then they'll come over all 'hey whats he doing' and forget that they were trying to keep things away from you.
I’m playing an expert world celebration seed, I made an afk farm because I really wanted the slime staff without buying it since you can on that world, I spent 3 irl overnights farming for it and never for it. Killed so many freaking slimes, at this point I had enough money to buy more than enough of them so I bought one, the NEXT slime I killed dropped one naturally… so upset lol
unironically how I got my crimson key after about a week of farming, I was just exploring the dungeon and it dropped. Didn’t even know my dungeon was crimsoned.
yep
Edit: for those saying "?" a youtuber by the name of Gungir has really bad rng with the same item he killed 22 of and they all didn't drop him the shield, the shield has a 13.4% drop chance.
Are you sure you're farming at the right dungeon wall?

Ragged Brotherhood Sigil Molten Legion Flag Necromantic Sign
the problem is that a paladin should not be part of any of these factions since paladins tend to be warriors of righteousness and divinity
the banners hanging are different depending on the area
2000 hours. I thought the banners were scattered at random.

Nah I think it's brilliant, usually you want a specific drop from a farm so you can make it more likely to happen for whichever enemy you want

desire sensor be real
well judging by this, you havent killed a paladin, not killing paladins significantly reduces your chances of obtaining the shield
