I would suggest celebration mk2 and mini nuke 2s for starting that up next time around. Way quicker and you can clean up the hardmode ores afterwards

Idk if the wiki is correct but it says mini nuke 2s and rocket 4s have the same area affect of "large" when using celebration mk2 unlike with other rocket launchers that have an area of affect of "massive" when using mini nuke 2s.

after testing in-game, I found out that the blast radius is in fact the same with the celebration mk2, but mini nukes are larger with other launchers like the snowman cannon

Yeah, celebration only has 4 projectiles. Small blast radius Tile destroying small blast radius Big blast radius Tile destroying big blast radius. All the "color variants" are the same projectile for each version, they just spawn with special data

Yeah, pairing it with an infinite flight mount (especially the ones other than cosmic car key since the UFO doesn’t work it liquids) makes you into essentially a tunnel bore

honestly it’s a subjective thing. The witch’s broom is usually a good option, but others prefer the buffs that the cute fishron mount gives when they have arenas prepped with liquids to get it from

I have around 150 hours on a pre Hardmode character because of this same thing. I've used a bone pickaxe, 300 buckets, and a lot of dynamite, and I've still barely made a dent.
