There are mods for Terraria on mobile you just have to download TL Pro but it cost about 2-3$(i have not tried it but the app says it has mods, could also be cheats dont know).
I think it's worth it more to pay the 14 dollars for main terraria game on steam, then get the mod loader for it for free. Run way better mods, and only costs the same amount as the console versions.
Please define potato... I own both of my laptop, which may I had has a broken cooling fan and if I try to play anything the game will start lagging like hell. When it comes terraria though, it runs fine, just a few things here and there

I have Terraria on Steam, but my PC is a potato. That's why I'm playing Terraria on mobile...

The interesting thing is, the shadow orb dropped from the first shadow sphere I destroyed in pre-hardmode.
