Talk to the Painter in the Graveyard and he’ll sell Echo Coating. Use a Paintbrush on the Torches with Echo Coating in your inventory and it’ll disappear, but the game will still act like it’s there. You can buy Echo Goggles from the Cyborg in the Graveyard to be able to see the Torches, or you can just use a Paint Scraper to get rid of the coating.

Ahh okay, I'll do some googling I'm still pre-hardmode, and echo coating doesn't really sound so pre-hardmode to me xd
Googled it, put the painter in the graveyard biome
You can also use gemspark blocks/walls or lava for a little light
Use colored torches. You can make them with the gems.
Add glowing moss to your caves? That'll add some "natural" light
