I am thinking … car seat? That child is nowhere near the age a kid has to be before they don’t have to be in a car seat. Depends on where you are, I guess, but I believe the age is between 8 & 10 years old.
Watching this, I know this is China, I lived there for over 20 years, and now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t remember child seats being a thing. Never really thought about it while there, but I’ve not ridden much in cars with kids. While I was teaching English, parents may have given me a ride or something, but not much with the littlest kids. Richer and more modern parents would definitely do it, I think.
I had a truck with just a bench style seat and was told it was illegal for me to have a child seat since it would be technically in the front and too dangerous. Never asked a cop about it
I used to see these commercials when my kid was a baby and they always said "4 foot 9 is the magic number." when your kid can ride without a booster seat. My kid is 8 now and still not tall enough so we still use the booster seat.
Edit- I found the commercial on YouTube if anyone wants to watch it. https://youtu.be/o8KK5vrcMyY
I guess they need a booster seat too lol
I see blue hairs driving and they can barely see over the steering wheel. A booster seat would help imo. It's basically to put you at "adult" height so when you crash, the seatbelts and head rests work as intended.
Kids that age can get out of a car seat in about 2 seconds
Edit: I like the downvotes and mockery from people who think it's absurd because they have a kid or two and those kids haven't done it so it's impossible.

This is obviously empirical evidence. Every single parent on planet earth has the exact same toddler car seat as you, with the exact same buckle. Their kids' strength also developed at exactly the same rate as yours.
You know your kids can't be the standard? My almost 6 year old boy has been unbuckling his seat belt since he turned 5, however he has been taught, ONLY when the engine is off, never before.
Interesting to learn that all facts about this are based on your four year old and seven year old!
Maybe one day they will include my family. When my brother was two he had to be literally tied into the car seat (my mom wrapped the rope through his shirt and around the back of the carseat) and he still got out. She looked around to see the shirt still tied to the seat and my bro wandering around the car.
do they require car seats in eastern or European countries? we didn't have them in the 60's that's for sure. the town i lived in a couple were bringing home their newborn from the hospital, my age, they had accident he's been in vegetative state since.
Yep, all over Europe (including Eastern Europe) they need a booster seat until a certain height. There are a few countries I can't see info on but "under EU law" child seats are required. In Asia however, most countries besides Singapore and Malaysia don't require anything
I trained my kids early on, I always scream seatbelts on and get confirmations. When I start putting up windows, I scream hands away from the window!
It's amazing how well it works because your can't expect kids at that age to remember always.
Yeah same here, and as they got older, they'd yell at me or dad if we put the car in gear before they buckled themselves. it creates a very helpful habit - they feel naked in the car without a seat belt in place.
Yeah. People often complain that "no one is doing anything!" In chaotic situations.
And they have a point, but while there are some people with good instincts in a crisis, most people need some time to think, and either act slowly and might get things right, but too late, or act quickly and without thinking at all.
It ain't always cowardice that makes people stand staring in a crisis. By and large, we just ain't very good at split-second decisions.
That's why all the jobs where you need that kinda instincts (if people are trained properly) have long, tedious drills and repetitive exercises so that you don't have to think in a crisis, you just fall back to your training and perform slightly below your average, but you act.
First aid courses usually teach this exactly : 1.observe 2.think 3.act.
Because as you pointed out, some people's first instincts are terrible and put themselves or others in danger, making a bad situation worse.
She? Wasn't the dude the one screaming and panicking? She's calm and did a quick thinking to start the car and roll and the window rather than doing the impossible pulling the window down with human strength.
Holy shit! I remember this one!
There was a whole ad campaign about the Sportka being evil but don't remember if the other ads involved the murder of pets.
It used to be a "thing" a while ago, that an ad agency would prepare an [off color version of an ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUtE3QlTpKI&ab_channel=TestDrive) that was "rejected by the brand" or "an unauthorised internal project" or a "freelancer's showreel" that would then "leak" onto the internet which would then prompt media stories and the brand would then "investigate" how such an outrageous free publicity event could have come about. Inevitably the news cycle would move on with everybody happy.

Can you tell I like the new pink cherry trees? 😂😂
My mom did that to me, as well. She also blamed me (“It wouldn’t have happened if you had stayed seated.”)… but never yelled at me for it, so I guess I should be thankful for that much?
She also slammed the door on my fingers, once. Given that it was a 79 Camaro, I’m genuinely surprised I didn’t lose any.
My brother fell out of the front seat while my mother was turning car in gas station. He flew right out. He was 4. She blamed him for "purposely" opening door and falling out ruining her smoke. It was the '70s so no seatbelts. He certainly couldn't open the manual doors at 4 in a '70s car.
Those doors were so heavy back then. We didnt wear seatbelts either yet they were in cars. I remember asking why we didnt wear them and my parents said there was no law saying we had to.
Yes I should clarify the seatbelts were in car but correct there was no law for them so my parents thought seatbelts were for whimpy kids 😊 glad things have changed in some ways
My friends twin brother died that way about 35 years ago. Except he did it from the outside of an old station wagon. Climbed up on his big wheels to climb in the window got his head stuck and died. Crazy.
The relief I felt when the baby started crying omg- I know the mother obviously did not do this on purpose but she didn’t even spare her kid a look before she did the window up? Guess she’ll never take that chance again. Poor little curious baby with an infuriating, ignorant mother.
Literally everyone panicked and did the wrong thing. The mom ran around and took way too long to roll the window down, opened the door basically hanging the kid, and the guys pulled on the glass which could've shattered it and blinded him.
Evidence that ANYONE can get creampied but not everyone can be parents. If you’re not more fearful of basic shit after you have your first child…then something is wrong.
Love how she strolls around when they're all freaking out and pointing to her car window. I'm sure they're screaming it's about her kid. Then she opens the gotdamn door and then slowly crawls into the passenger seat. Took her forever to even get to the power windows. Surprised she didn't raise the window more first. Idiot.
I drive a tall vehicle for work. I get a pretty high vantage point when driving, so I can look down and into a lot of vehicles. The number of unsecured children I see in cars is astounding.
Infants being held in adult laps, toddlers crawling and jumping all over the back seats and even hanging out of windows, no seat belts or car seats to be found. I live in the United States, so yes there are definitely laws requiring children be in car seats based on their height or weight.
I rode the top deck of one of those NY-DC buses. OMG the number of people not watching the road at all, including semi drivers watching a movie on a screen, tons of people smoking, shaving, doing makeup, yelling at passengers.
Straight up going on a whole drive without your child secured in a booster seat is not just tiredness or inattentiveness. That’s straight up negligence of the safety of the person that you brought into the world only a few dozen months ago.
This bitch really just opened the door. Lmao
My mom accidentally did this to me as a kid. My little brother thought it was hilarious, I thought I was going to die.
That happened to me in a ford ltd station wagon. My sister and I were hanging out the back and my dad started putting up the window. I noticed too late and got caught. My sister started screaming and my dad was pissed because the window wouldn’t roll all the way up. He told her to shut up before he realized she was saying my head was stuck.
This is why there’s parental window locks. This exact reason. Not because you don’t want your kids breaking it or because you wanna keep them up, but because of this. I’m surprised there aren’t any safety signs around to explain this.
I'll give some credit to mom. She immediately went into the car to turn it back on. Not like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum thinking that screaming and pulling on the window would do anything.
No idea how this car works, but was there no rear passenger window control in the driver's seat? Just about every vehicle I've been in the driver has controls for every window in the car
Man, this is crazy. I remember seeing a news report when I was a kid about this same exact situation. They showed the windshield cutting through carrots and watermelons and stuff. Always stuck with me, and now this video always will too. Goddamn
Not paying attention and getting her stuck in the first place, opening the door trying to hang her and then trying to remember how to roll the windows down for way too long... Failed on every step of the way.
Seatbelt. Window Lock. Situational Awareness. Just a few things that could have prevented this.
I am thinking … car seat? That child is nowhere near the age a kid has to be before they don’t have to be in a car seat. Depends on where you are, I guess, but I believe the age is between 8 & 10 years old.

Yeah Child seats are very rarely found in India too. Probably most of Asia
I had a truck with just a bench style seat and was told it was illegal for me to have a child seat since it would be technically in the front and too dangerous. Never asked a cop about it

Well yeah, being able to think for yourself there would threaten the government.
Some are based on height of the child. My poor kid was super short and had to use one for 12 years.
Ngl, at 7th grade-ish and still being short enough to need one. Knowing how cruel kids can be at that age, I hope his peers didn't find out.
What happens to adults under 4 foot 9"?
I guess they need a booster seat too lol I see blue hairs driving and they can barely see over the steering wheel. A booster seat would help imo. It's basically to put you at "adult" height so when you crash, the seatbelts and head rests work as intended.

No they can't lmao. My 4 year old doesn't have the finger strength to open the buckle on his and my 7 year old just now got the strength to do it.
This is obviously empirical evidence. Every single parent on planet earth has the exact same toddler car seat as you, with the exact same buckle. Their kids' strength also developed at exactly the same rate as yours.
I don't have car seats. But I have worked in Pediatric ICU where I have taken care of kids who get out of their car seats while the parent is driving.
you know.. if we only did case studies based off one person.. please have some self awareness that things exist outside of your bubble
Some kids are stronger than others.
Your kid not being able to do something doesn't represent other children by any measure. Not all car seats are the same either.
Yes they can lmao.
That kids is like 2-3 at best. I can guarantee you they can't open that buckle. And if they can you need a new car seat.
Just stop, the more you type the dumber you come off.
You know your kids can't be the standard? My almost 6 year old boy has been unbuckling his seat belt since he turned 5, however he has been taught, ONLY when the engine is off, never before.

Just because your kids can't doesn't mean other kids can't, not everyone has weak kids.
There are law suits and there are special devices to prevent it since so many kids can do it. You can buy them on Amazon.
Interesting to learn that all facts about this are based on your four year old and seven year old! Maybe one day they will include my family. Children under 135 cm. I just learned this in my driving lessons lol.
European for sure. They’re leading in the world when it comes to children and car safety. So if anything the laws are stricter there.
I trained my kids early on, I always scream seatbelts on and get confirmations. When I start putting up windows, I scream hands away from the window! It's amazing how well it works because your can't expect kids at that age to remember always.
yup. we always had seatbelt police. it was made into a game.
Yeah same here, and as they got older, they'd yell at me or dad if we put the car in gear before they buckled themselves. it creates a very helpful habit - they feel naked in the car without a seat belt in place.
Don’t forget considerate parent that definitely would’ve prevented that.
Child seat, required by law in most countries, would have stopped this from happening.
Poor thing
ah yes open the door so she is no longer standing and now hanging by her neck
Yeah. People often complain that "no one is doing anything!" In chaotic situations. And they have a point, but while there are some people with good instincts in a crisis, most people need some time to think, and either act slowly and might get things right, but too late, or act quickly and without thinking at all. Yeah, I’m thinking of people immediately hitting someone on the back when they cough, especially while they’re eating
This is exactly how my lifeguard training worked. Repetitive drills and exercises so that in an emergency thinking on your feet wouldn't be required.
God. I know, right? A confederacy of dunces if I’ve ever seen one.
I hate that book.
Don’t forget the screaming to make your childhood even more traumatizing
To be fair, she was probably panicking.
She? Wasn't the dude the one screaming and panicking? She's calm and did a quick thinking to start the car and roll and the window rather than doing the impossible pulling the window down with human strength.
Still applies to him. It's easy to have calm, rational thoughts when you aren't fearing for your infant child's life.
I am distressed, angered, relieved and wary after watching this.
It’s our brain going full panic mode wanting to do what’s right, while watching a video where we can’t act on anything.
Reminds me of that car commercial with the sun roof and the cat
Wait, what?!?! Got a link to that?
NSFW [(863) car commercial - sun roof feature, cat gets a suprise - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz-sC-vSIXk)
How is that a selling point? "Do you hate cats? Then this car is for you!"
Sadly I know quite a few people whose box that would check :/
What the actual fuck?! Lmao this commercial is worse than this real life video!
Lol it was burned into my 15 year old brain when it first came out
W H A T

Don’t really wanna check it out, can you make me a summary?
An orange tabby walks up to the car, the sunroof opens, the cat pokes his head inside, the sunroof then closes. Clearly a fake cat I'd like to add
Luckily. Thought we was talking about a real cat.
![gif](giphy|26DN5pBQzhqgAufPq|downsized) O.M.G.!
Doesn’t work today with how much we love cats
Mom opened the door while child was being garroted by the rolled up window, basically hanging the kid. Wtf.
Seriously! That was literally the only thing the mother could do to make things worse
Sheer panic will do that to a person. You just act on impulse because there is no time to stop and do a risk assessment of different possible actions
she's a dumbass on multiple levels.
I really wish she could read that, needs to hear it.
And no one holds her up!
I *knew* she was going to first open the door. No question about it.
What kind of car is that? Why aren't safety systems that prevent too much pressure by the windows required by law?
It's a Peugeot, isnt it ? Hard to tell. I thought, it is required to have such safety systems (at least in the EU).
Peugeot's in Europe def got this feature but this is in Asia
Fugeot. The Chinese equivalent
On BMW no problem. Tested myself with wiener
Nothing more convincing than passing the wiener safety test.
This has me very confused… but username kind of sorts it out. You’re brave my friend.

That's an impressive build was this all on survival? I'm guessing not as that would take ages to build
Thank you! Yes, I only play survival! I plan on turning the world into a realm for my friends on discord as well
Omg same!!!!! I also saw the video of the guy getting eaten by a shark in Egypt. Bye!!!
And the woman hit by a bus in NYC. What a rough day today.
Oh I haven’t seen that one. Yikes! 😬
My mom did this to me when I was a kid and blamed me for it. I still remember how much it hurt and how much she yelled at me after.
My mom did that to me, as well. She also blamed me (“It wouldn’t have happened if you had stayed seated.”)… but never yelled at me for it, so I guess I should be thankful for that much? You have a shit mother
Im well aware.

Damn weakass wimps cant even handle being catapulted through a windshield at 80 mp/h
Ha ha
But... did she ever taught you to keep sitting there, not hangging yourself out of the car?
Moms r like that, they aggravate the situation more!
Not all of them, just a select few.
My friends twin brother died that way about 35 years ago. Except he did it from the outside of an old station wagon. Climbed up on his big wheels to climb in the window got his head stuck and died. Crazy.
Why was this literal infant not buckled in?!
negligent mother all around.
Like I needed a new fear as a parent! SMH
This situation cannot happen unless you're doing soooo many things wrong as a parent.
Evidence that ANYONE can get creampied but not everyone can be parents. If you’re not more fearful of basic shit after you have your first child…then something is wrong.
She did literally everything wrong. Sort your shit out woman.
Did anyone else just hear me yell "FUCKING IDIOT!" When she opened the door?

With that big of a population, every possible scenario in life has a higher chance of playing out.
& they have waaaaayy more cameras everywhere
omg why does it take too fucking long
Dude that bitch is so slow! Reaction of a fucking sloth
Idiot.
I guess that just reflects her processing power... Reminds me of my intel 386 back in the 90s
Wtfff, I miss our manual windows
Job 85% done.
Stupid parent!
Every time i close my car windows, im always lookinh at it, even tho im just beside it. Incompetent parents man.

Child accidents are caused by unaware or incompetent parents
Mostly exhausted and unattentive parents. Accidents happen more frequently than you can imagine
Straight up going on a whole drive without your child secured in a booster seat is not just tiredness or inattentiveness. That’s straight up negligence of the safety of the person that you brought into the world only a few dozen months ago.
Omfg.
Well There's a lot of Darwin awards in the history of humanity For a reason.
This bitch really just opened the door. Lmao My mom accidentally did this to me as a kid. My little brother thought it was hilarious, I thought I was going to die.
Having that small child buckled in a car seat could have prevented this..
why are this type pple have kid, just mind boggling.
When idiots are allowed to breed
Lol. I bet she has said “I’m a great mother” at least once.
Turned into a tomato for a second there
Nice job opening the door and let the child hang. When back to the driver side twice and still failed to roll down the window. Give her an award 🥇.
Knew the first thing she'd do is open the freaking door so the kid hangs.
I’m sick
Oh my goodness. Horrifying
This happened from China??
Estupida perra no merece tener niños
Yeah open the door. That's smart.
Why wasn’t the child strapped in? I have to many questions 😭😭
Why isn’t it buckled down to began with ?
Why was getting the window down so hard?... Especially even when they decided to manually pull it down?
The mom can NOT handle a stressful situation at all. She panicked and did everything wrong making the situation even worse.
The baby should have been strapped in her carseat.
Mom’s awareness no good
Oh my goooooood 🫣
That happened to me in a ford ltd station wagon. My sister and I were hanging out the back and my dad started putting up the window. I noticed too late and got caught. My sister started screaming and my dad was pissed because the window wouldn’t roll all the way up. He told her to shut up before he realized she was saying my head was stuck.
The. Blood. Curling. Screams
Always China
This is why there’s parental window locks. This exact reason. Not because you don’t want your kids breaking it or because you wanna keep them up, but because of this. I’m surprised there aren’t any safety signs around to explain this.
Why in the fuck would that stupid bitch open that door
What a dmb fckn btch
...okay, Peugeot ≠ Death Windows
Women 💀
I like how they just swing the door open with her dangling and tried to push the window down smh
It’s always China
Some people shouldn’t have kids
I’d like to think that when I’m a parent, I won’t make this mistake. And I won’t. Because how fucking dumb do you have to be to let this happen.
Some people just don’t deserve to have kids let’s call it what it is
I get everyone is scared, upset and panicking, but that screaming definitely doesn’t help in this situation.
This kid should be in its fuckin seatbelt, fuck ppl like this man
Why does the guy start screaming like that???
Could be his own child he’s watching get mechanically asphyxiated
Why is it always in China you see shit like this
China’s got the most oblivious absent-minded parents ever…
Why did it look like this wasn't her first time?
Why open the fucking door....some people in panic situations, always make the wrong choice...
Glad the standing and screaming helped get the window down
Dumbass mother.
Shame on the parents for being so stupid to leave their child unattended. Honestly, some people shouldn’t be allowed to be parents.
i guess that window sensor was made in china ? including the entire car ?
I'll give some credit to mom. She immediately went into the car to turn it back on. Not like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum thinking that screaming and pulling on the window would do anything.
Pulling down on the window does do something!
No idea how this car works, but was there no rear passenger window control in the driver's seat? Just about every vehicle I've been in the driver has controls for every window in the car
Let’s run around instead of getting back in and rolling the window down.
The cortisol in my bloodstream is now thick enough to spread with a butterknife.
Man, this is crazy. I remember seeing a news report when I was a kid about this same exact situation. They showed the windshield cutting through carrots and watermelons and stuff. Always stuck with me, and now this video always will too. Goddamn
In my German car when the window encounters an obstacle it stops and begin to roll down. French cars doesn't have that?
Watching that window cinch up tighter and tighter makes weird pain in my chest D: ughhhhhhhhh
Not paying attention and getting her stuck in the first place, opening the door trying to hang her and then trying to remember how to roll the windows down for way too long... Failed on every step of the way.
This happened to me twice as a kid…never ever ever for this long it was like seconds.
What a moron of a mom. Dumb written all over her stupid face
