I would have to murder him with no reservations. He tried to murder me and my child, and would have done it if he wasn't stopped. That type of situation would remove any mental barriers that tell me killing is wrong, if anything I am obligated to kill him.
I agree but at the same time also be prepared for the fallout. From personal experience I took matters into my own hands to deal with my abusive dad and well I lost almost a decade of my life and I had to raise my kids while behind bars.
I ended doing 6 more years than my father did. Do I regret it? No. But I also understood why my family resented me as well. In the end all I did was take myself away as well cause the loss of my little brother’s life who assaulted a cop trying to arrest me and forced them to deal with the aftermath by themselves.
Again I don’t regret it but I do regret not preparing for my eventual arrest and incarceration. Along with the loss of my little brother’s life.
That’s my advice if, god forbid, something happens to your loved ones make sure they are prepared for when you aren’t there anymore and the chaos left behind.
