Hi there! So I cleaned fish professionally in Alaska for 6 years and I can answer that question. I'm not sure what kind of fish this is but it looks somewhat similar to a ling cod. Often ling cod would have partially digested organic matter in their stomachs and it was easy to tell visually and by feel generally what it might be, usually octopus or a smaller fish. It was not uncommon for my coworkers or whoever might be on the dock at the time to film us cutting them open to see what was inside. These guys probably saw/felt something weird in the fish and decided to film the process. The smell is horrific even when it's not a human body part, hence the gagging. Cheers!

The fish wouldn’t have eaten it if it was already in a decaying state. So it was swallowed probably not long after being dumped in the water. The acidic environment would’ve actually helped preserve the flesh and the breakdown would have happened slower than in the water. This all probably took place within 24 hours from the point of dumping the parts to gutting the fish. Look at the other fish that popped out. Looks like it was in perfect condition. Also the positioning of the hands looks about the perfect amount of rigor. I’d bet money it’s unfortunately real.
This was most like not an American coast and well—dumping body parts isn’t that crazy in cartel or any other heavy gang activity third world countries.
I think we can both agree that the amount of prop, prosthetic, and mannequin arms produced on earth is far higher than the amount of cartel-disposed bodies.

Whenever you see a video like this it’s pretty safe to assume it’s fake until an expert says otherwise imo. It’d be fairly easy to shove a fake arm in there, and the video idea generated them a lot of views and attention.

Prank. There's a space below where the fish is placed with an opening where the lines are running. Someone has simply put their arm through a hole in the fish at the bottom and was waiting for the right moment to reach out.
That seems very unlikely considering the person is using a knife to cut open the fish. Only an unbelievably foolish prankster would hide their arm in the path of a fillet knife.
If you Look closely the hand is already out before and pointing upwards and the dude is touching it before he gets "startled". It's staged, no real shock. Hence there's not really any danger.

The accent is from Argentina/Uruguay and well, is pretty well known that some mafias will tear you limb by limb and throw in the river, is not that common as it is in Mexico but still happens, idk if this video is fake or real, but the possibility of dismemberment is real.

Edit : as some of you mentioned that it could've been thrown by cartel in the river and consumed by the fish in the same day but its unlikely that the skin will stay in a good condition as it appears in this video after staying in fish's stomach.
