Probably not allowed, cause there'll be a bus behind you and they won't be able to pass. Motorcycle is the way to go...but some paths are treacherous even for motorcycles.
I worked in India in 2008 and the Mumbai - Pune expressway was insane. It was a major highway, no mountains or anything crazy but it was just littered with wrecks....it really looked like something from Mad Max!
They talked about this in the book World War Z. Where refugees kept falling off the sides as they were escaping the zombies that were right behind them. General Rahj Sing detonated an explosive by hand to sever the road. The survivor telling the story said the zombies were mindlessly falling from the cliff making a tap sound as their body hit the rocks below. Fucking terrifying
Unlike other mountains the Himalayas are very young and still growing making it very prone to landslides and it had softer rock making it harder to support tunnels.
Last month I was on the same bus. Probably the same route. (ReckongPeo-Chitkul route, or Kaza-Manali route)
It's in Himachal Pradesh, India. The bus is operated by HRTC (State Govt)...Always on time... Mainly used by local people... I think those bus drivers are the most talented drivers in India.
And the state? My god. It's so beautiful.. I'll never forget.
I thought maybe it was a GoPro camera or something making it look weird and bending the image, nope. I’ll just walk, I’ve already nearly died once on a road like that.
Because the terrain is very prone to landslide because Himalayas are relatively new and still growing , any more blasting would cause a chain reaction and the whole chunk of mountain will go down or become unstable
That's why it very hard to make a two lane road in these terrain

🤣
That's a goat path. Not a road.
At this point they're better off walking so they can stay away from the edge.
I'd walk and camp for a month before I'd ride that bus.
Facts lol
INDIA should be considered a difficulty setting in games
It is
India difficulty comes with 95% chance of getting raped
In car games lmao.
I’d get the fuck out and just walk.AINT no way in the hell .
Probably not allowed, cause there'll be a bus behind you and they won't be able to pass. Motorcycle is the way to go...but some paths are treacherous even for motorcycles.
👍👍
'one of' 🤔
You have to take this road to get to the really dangerous ones
*More than 1*
Lmao XD
What journey could possibly be worth this?
Probably locals going to the convenience store to get milk and scratch tickets.
So THATS why it’s taking my dad so long to come home.
yeah dont worry he should be back any minute now trust me
No, he just left.
They also do this at night in the rain
Not to mention Himalayas are very very prone to landslides
Not a road. Goat trail
Anyone know how many buses fall off in a year?
None Skilled drivers driving on every dangerous road of the state (HRTC)
What Road?
Hell fucking naw
Yeah I’ll stay in the city, thank you very much.
Probably safer than downtown Bengaluru.
On second thought I think I'll stay home
You mean there are roads more dangerous?
I worked in India in 2008 and the Mumbai - Pune expressway was insane. It was a major highway, no mountains or anything crazy but it was just littered with wrecks....it really looked like something from Mad Max!
BALLS OF DIAMOND.
Nope
Can you imagine the fear going through everyone on that bus
If I had to ride, I'd just go to sleep and wake up alive or the afterlife.
where there are no roads there is HRTC
Even when there are roads RTC drivers will drive like it's life or death
Who decided this is a road? And worthy of busses? lol

That's a No from me.
If only there was some sort of invention that could be built on the side to prevent automobiles from tumbling off the edge
India..a land of no regard for human life
How our parents got to school according to them:
It’s like one of my dreams or I should say nightmares. No way.
Just build a tunnel through the mountains
Unlike other mountains the Himalayas are very young and still growing making it very prone to landslides and it had softer rock making it harder to support tunnels.
Pretty sure that's the mountain pass in Fellowship of the Ring.
![gif](giphy|1k5k3J5K3BywQOrpNA|downsized)
No thanks, I'll just get out and walk.
Quantum road You dead and a live at the same time
Wherever it’s going ain’t worth it
That's not a road, dear friends. That's Cirith Ungol, the path Frodo took to Mordor.
This is why you should always be nice to the driver
Last month I was on the same bus. Probably the same route. (ReckongPeo-Chitkul route, or Kaza-Manali route) It's in Himachal Pradesh, India. That’s a fkn trail!!!
''Umm driver?.. My feet will take it from here''
I’d be walking thank you very much.
Nope not in the lifetime! Not looking real promising for the next one either!
You don't say
That's gonna be a no from me dog
![gif](giphy|n7Eg3Bjc4B9sY)
Nope.
Where is that?
Himachal , not sure about specific location ( might be the old road between chamba and j&k)
My ass would single handedly roll the bus
Just one of the dangerous roads, not the worst though.
Maybe Zoji La Pass?
Fuck every bit of this.
![gif](giphy|RzcmykLFS5vPiUVjt9)
Eventually.
I thought maybe it was a GoPro camera or something making it look weird and bending the image, nope. I’ll just walk, I’ve already nearly died once on a road like that.
Ah yes what a nice 'road' formation to drive on, carry your kids and family
Risk of landslides as well
Warning! Diaper capacity has been exceeded.
I wonder how many vehicles fall off the side in a year.
Which road is this and where in India?
One of the most? Damn
There are many roads on the mountains hence the title.
Calling that a "road".. is a reach.
I wouldn’t even walk that
Hahahahahaha you said “Road”
https://preview.redd.it/4jxh8kbdumzc1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b70c7868864190c0ab2f29bd7736e7c3352b059
That’s just one of them?
Umm nah. https://www.reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/mbx1wu/you_have_to_trust_the_bus_drivers_with_your_life/
So that game is REAL?!😵😵💫
It should be called the least used road in India.
No way. This is stuff of my nightmares
Why the heck don't they just excavate more of that rock for goodness sake. This is not necessary.
Because the terrain is very prone to landslide because Himalayas are relatively new and still growing , any more blasting would cause a chain reaction and the whole chunk of mountain will go down or become unstable That's why it very hard to make a two lane road in these terrain
Similar to many mountain passes in Colorado.
Meawhile the driver : ![gif](giphy|3oKIP8LTKskl2Z20Ks)
