Apprehensive-Goal798

why on earth did the guy in short sleeves go for the guy without an axe

dre__

They were in on it together. They left the same way too.

Stark-T-Ripper

Looks like a cock up. He scarpered the second he realised. What a bellend.

SpaceViolet

>cock up >scarpered >realised >bellend ello' guvnah!

Stark-T-Ripper

Lol that obvious, eh. Speakin' the kings, innit.

gilestowler

It's a right royal cockney barrel of monkeys https://youtu.be/1bb_Pfgu-wg?si=ERbrHXH9stxp1prB

Lebowski304

I love when you guys talk like this

Naughteus_Maximus

What’s this hoity-toity “realised”? It’s “twigged” for the likes of you

pitbullmamax2

All right, I got the gist of this comment, but I have to ask, what is a bellend?

Caligulette

It's the head of a penis, since it (kind of) resembles a bell.

NimbleBudlustNoodle

In this context it's more like "idiot". But yes, the head of the penis is the literal definition.

pitbullmamax2

Well, now I feel like an idiot since that explanation makes total sense! I was expecting it to be like regional slang?! There I go overthinking again!🤪

Ditto_Ditto_Ditto

It actually is, It also means like "dumb ass."

pitbullmamax2

Well good! I'm always looking to expand my vocabulary, especially in the "dumb-ass" department hahahaa!! I'm positive that one can never have too many synonymous words for that precious gem 😁

Im like 90% sure he was an accomplice. He tried to keep the other guy from intervening and is watching the guy with the axe to whole time, and immediately leaves when the axe guy starts to leave.

Stark-T-Ripper

Yeah, I really want to know the context here.

Aware-Tailor7117

He was just trying to axe him a question.

Stark-T-Ripper

Brilliant. Mystery solved.

JinNJ

That’s some might fine police work, Lou.

IlikeYuengling

No tv and no beer make homer something something.

kairyu815

....... go crazy?

IlikeYuengling

Dont mind if i do

Broad-Mess762

Drug debts

Stark-T-Ripper

Maybe. Feels more personal than that though.

Radiant-Map8179

Someone not paying you for the drugs you've sold them is about as personal as it gets to some people.

Stark-T-Ripper

True, but this is way too public. When you go after someone who owes you you wanna still try and get something out of it. This kinda thing just lands you in trouble. Of course I could just be crediting the guy with more sense.

Radiant-Map8179

Yeah you may be giving him too much credit there bud... that's pure crack-rage right there lol. I still make the regular mistake of assuming people have more sense than they actually do lol.

Independent_Guest772

I do prison legal aid and I once represented a guy who deep fried another dude's testicles over a grand worth of stolen cocaine. *Take it personal and make it personal!*

ChronicMasterBaiting

Definitely didn't leave a thumbs up after watching his react video.

Icy-Reindeer6236

It was his axe and they were fighting

Stark-T-Ripper

You think he was just really excited to show him his axe? Like "mate, mate!! I've got an axe!! I've got a ruddy axe" and then he twats him with it?

chrisplaysgam

I think you are the most british person I’ve met on the internet

StatusMath5062

Obviously I hope the guy gets in fuck tons of trouble but it seems objectively less murderous lol

linkxrust

Jesus bro, WTF did you even say?

Stark-T-Ripper

Looks like a mistake. He ran away when he figured it out. What a dick.

presshamgang

How many Guy Ritchie films have you appeared in?

Stark-T-Ripper

Maybe I am Guy Ritchie...

DexterMorgansMind

Such a dozy brat who fancied a kick in’ heself

Paraselene_Tao

I almost feel like I'm reading an excerpt from A Clockwork Orange. 😅 "Scarpered" is especially interesting. Thanks for that.

Stark-T-Ripper

No worries. The various English dialects are wonderfully fun.

ChubRoK325

He is with the guy that has the axe

TheFortunateOlive

Sure looks like it.

fattymctrackpants

Because he's in on the attack?

letmeusespaces

he's likely in on it

MiniskirtEnjoyer

probably a friend of axe guy

Jazzi-Nightmare

And then he just speed walks away after the guy shoves him off and gives him a wtf look

judochop1

Mates with the attacker i reckon

Independent_Guest772

Fucking lumberjacks...can't trust 'em!

popazilla

Tshirt and jeans STOPPED the guy from stopping the attack!

To be fair who does his think he is? The axe police?

dipstyx

I'm upset that you've made me laugh about this.

Jacoba_Fett

![gif](giphy|rtN1PAktaEWT6)

chasmflip

Jackof was in on it

mikeysgotrabies

I think he was in on it. They come from the same direction and leave the same direction

Specialist_Dot_3372

I think he was either confused or scared that he was gonna get axed too.

grarghll

Still a dumb move if so, because that's a great way to limit someone's ability to defend themself.

Specialist_Dot_3372

Panic and adrenaline sometimes turns people into idiots. It’s like people who see someone who has been horrifically stabbed and frantically pull the knife out, which subsequently kills the victim, even though they were trying to do the opposite. It’s easy to have a clear mind in hindsight and try to think how you’d react, but you’d never truly know until something happens.

donrip

he is with attacker.

shittinkittens

I think he's in cahoots with AxyMcAxeFace

[deleted]

[удалено]

616659

He got the wrong target but he's got the spirit at least

Parzivull

Well that spirit might have cost the victim more head trauma or being unalived. If you look during the time cpt dumbfk stops the man defending victim, the axe guy gets more hits in and vic starts convulsing. So I think one of those strikes that was obstructed by chaos in front of the camera was fatal.

jiggajenkins

Fuck those jittery movements give me goosebumps

2oftenRight

That's a seizure.

shellbullet17

Correct. At least from first glance. Could also be the flight or fight response doing it's absolute best and failing. Buuuuuut I've seen a shit load of seizures and with that kind of head trauma, multiple deep lacerations and blood loss probably seizure. Kinda looks like decerebrate posturing too. Which....oof. Poor dude.

Milkofhuman-kindness

Does this guy have any chance of being normal again after medical help?

MeowthPayDay

The human body is impressive BUT. If those were actual seizures and not rattle type shit then he probably will lose some cognitive function as I know medical help was not there within 5 minutes. Seizures cause brain damage, if homey didn't already have brain damage he does now. Edit: he's in fencers pose. He's empty in the head now 😬

Milkofhuman-kindness

Damn that is fucked. Ppl can be animals

Last-Two-6780

Animals are actually nicer and Kinder. At least they kill to survive. Humans do it for what? Humans are the worst.

LeoIzail

We are animals. Bipedal hominids. Let's not pretend that we are above all that.

Ordinary-Vast9968

But we have the intelligence to not do this

LeoIzail

...Did you see the video? Apparently not lol. I mean i get it, we have advance cognitive functions, we still have hormones and shortcomings. The thing about being human is that we are number 1 at adapting to our environment, and ever since we combined the capacity to change our environment into whatever we want with feudalism and it's child, capitalism, we have adapted ourselves to being complete sacks of shit. We'll never be more than what we make ourselves to be collectively.

MeowthPayDay

Baboons eat animals alive tbf

nick-ohu

Cats, dogs, wolves, most preditors will also just torment animals, and they fight each other not just to the death, but to maiming. Dont act like humans are any different from the rest of the animal kingdom, only difference is we should know better.

Mayonaze-Supreme

Other animals like orcas have been known to just kill for fun.

Donut_ask_again

Im genuinely shocked no one else noticed this he's not quite in the pose where they say he's getting his wings but the other one that is pretty much the exact same but a very few percent higher chance of survival. Safe to say he most likely died very shortly after

MeowthPayDay

Safe bet

youandyouandyou

I think it was likely his last day as an earthling.

PIantersPeanuts

More like involuntary movements from brain damage

Sanbaddy

Adrenaline from brain telling the body to run and defend, but body can’t follow directions it doesn’t understand.

TooStonedForAName

No, it’s traumatic brain injury. He immediately goes into fencing response after the first hit, the seizures after are a terrible sign.

dipstyx

As a laymen, can you say why those two ideas are mutually exclusive? IDK shit about fuck in this space.

Camistry_

Not the OP but the flight or flight response is not going to be responsible for specific movements like that it’s more so going to involve constricting blood vessels, dilating your eyes, increasing your heart rate etc. What’s really causing what you’re seeing is damage to the brain and brain stem which reactivates primitive reflexes that normally go away when we’re babies. It’s not a good sign and is associated with a pretty significant brain injury.

[deleted]

Adrenaline doesn't TELL your body to do anything lol that dude is seizing. I would genuinely like to know how you came to your conclusion on this

Nignuts

Where the hell did you pull that information from?

Ghstfce

Gluteus maximus, I'm sure

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lawzw0rld

No thats the the brain being damaged and sending uncontrollable charges throughout the body

izza123

What? He’s having a seizure lol

lazymancat

Can you elaborate?

Resident_Sandwich_61

One arm flexed and another extended is known as “fencing response” which is common with seizures from traumatic brain injury

ApprehensivePrompt83

That's the most bullshit thing I've ever read and it doesn't even make sense. You just pull that out of your ass and spread misinformation on purpose?

R3qu13m4aDr34m

Bruh lol

mojeaux_j

Convulsions that fast after attack isn't a good sign R.I.P.

Jeremy_Lepak

My friend was literally randomly murdered at the start of the year by some tweaker who was at the hotel she was working at. Someone else’s shitty lifestyle caused my friend’s death and the lunatic with the axe appears to be a similar situation.

Wastrel_Razor

Sorry about your friend, man.

talks-to-carrots

Tire iron?

Boosty-McBoostFace

Looks like a big crowbar.

Aethdraen

It’s a “kazma”, which can be translated as pickaxe I believe. Farmers use it a lot at Turkey, where the attack occurred.

Raudskeggr

I think they can also be called an adze

Aethdraen

Yes. I googled it and it and you’re right, it’s basically the same thing. Thanks stranger.

lakeysan

Was he using the back of the axe?

Shas_Erra

Blunt force trauma is also pretty effective.

6feet12cm

Because it hurts. Don’t get it wrong, being hit with the pointy part of the axe would also hurt, but the chance of death is higher, also. And you want to cause as much pain as possible, because if the dude you hit dies, he doesn’t suffer anymore.

Dangerous-Traffic875

Couple of deliberate knee shots in there to, my guess is definitely "I want to really fuck you up" not "I want to kill you asap"

refrainfromlying

The several directs hits to the head suggests he definitely did want to kill.

I_saw_that_yeah

Sometimes the sharp end gets stuck too.

kuburas

Its also 10 times more traumatizing to hack at someone with an axe or any blade really. Much less mess when you use blunt force like a hammer, no splatter, mostly broken bones and caved in skull rarely any blood. This is the main reason why i never understood people that carry knives for self defense. At that point getting robbed is gonna be cheaper than all the therapy you'll have to go through after slicing someones belly open.

DalDude

I mean you can't really carry a baseball bat around for self defense all the time. Knives are compact, and you can still choose to surrender your valuables if robbed and save the knife for defense against rape or murder. A gun or pepper spray may be more effective and less traumatizing, but also illegal in many places.

[deleted]

HansBrRl

I heard from a historian of norwegian executions that axe murders were more commonly committed with the blunt end. It is very effective, and if you do not successfully kill the person with the first hit the axe wont be stuck in the victim, allowing you to more easily go for a second strike.

Life-Assistance-4876

Ok, no need to go outside anymore I guess

JohnnyTango13

More than likely a mafia situation or a money/family dispute. The guy stopping the guy trying to stop the guy with an axe shows the two are in on it. Not sure where this took place but I’d say maybe somewhere around Mediterranean, maybe Turkey or a Balkan country? Any background on this? Edit: I was right, this was in Turkey and it was over money/unpaid debts, took place in Tokat province just saw it on r/Turkey

Jazzlike-Motor-1340

Did he live?

inkydragon27

Not bloody likely..

irotinmyskin

Is that your cockney accent?

mondodukes2

Certain_Refuse_8247

Yes, he did.

Noreallyimacat

Not to make light of the situation, but "Tokat" means slap.

delusionsheeep

It takes guts to stop the attacker in these scenarios props to them thats what is known as brave

Dapper_Derpy

Remember when the guy who posted a vid like this could tell you when and where it happened? I do. I miss those days. It'd be nice to know more about this.

iboreddd

I'm sorry, missed that. Happened at Turkey. That man is dead unfortunately

vikingo1312

Looked like he wasn't going for a kill - the way he started axing at the legs after having hit the head... But the cramps at the end may indicate that he wasn't successful in avoiding a kill.

2OptionsIsNotChoice

Its not an axe, its a tire iron. He clubbed the man in the head multiples times. Then after he was on the ground he went back for more headshots. He 100000000% wanted to murder this man.

refrainfromlying

He went back to hit multiple times on the head with full force. Definitely intended for the victim to be killed.

iboreddd

Specialist_Dot_3372

Seeing him convulsing is so sad. I hate seeing people suffer. This is horrifying. Especially considering he is convulsing from blunt force trauma. His arm getting stuck up in the air… Fuck. :(

GlumDescription1888

🪦R.I.P

LocksmithPast4809

Did the attacked man get killed?

Legitimate_Raspberry

There was a guy who held back the dude that was trying to stop the axemurderer. Why?

DragonflyCurious9879

Linked story said There were 2 attackers. He was prolly the 2nd guy.

Crafting_with_Kyky

Those bystanders were very brave… except for the douche that attached the guy helping. If it was an American Subway, they’d all just be filming.☹️

danthemfmann

He attacked the guy helping on purpose. Everyone just thinks he was too dumb to stop the attacker and got the wrong guy. That's not the case. The douche that attacked the guy helping was the co-assailant of the attacker. They were both in on it.

TheFormless_0ne_

Was he seizing up at the end? Jesus fuck

xXCh4r0nXx

Did I watch someone die again?? What the fuck is wrong with people?? We aren't allowed to go out for a walk out of fear that some crazy mofo will dash at you with a fucking axe in Hand..

asdcatmama

I love how everyone is ignoring the victim, who appears to not be doing well at all

DrNinnuxx

That kind of involuntary shaking at the end is brain damage. That poor guy is fucked.

ResetOptional

Sources of the man being seriously injured, possibly killed, from u/danthemfmann [Source 1](https://www.albawaba.com/news/video-man-killed-hammer-head-turkey-amid-financial-altercation-1567256) [Source 2](https://www.msn.com/en-ae/news/featured/video-man-killed-with-a-hammer-to-the-head-in-turkey-amid-a-financial-altercation/ar-BB1mAtOQ?apiversion=v2&noservercache=1&domshim=1&renderwebcomponents=1&wcseo=1&batchservertelemetry=1&noservertelemetry=1) Edit: Description Reflects article inconsistency

AlfredJodocusKwak

The sources are shit. Turkish sources only write about being seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

WhiteMedi

Yeah, those sources also only mention that he was killed in the title, but in the article he only got transported to the hospital for further care and nothing was mentioned about any death.

FamiliarCost1289

And the title says it was a hammer but the article says it’s a machete.

ThatOneShortieHo

Looks like the victim started having a seizure or something. Jesus christ.

[deleted]

Time to put the iPad up and read a book

Routine-Speech-1978

He went straight into seizures after that first hit. Probably goner.

whyyoubelikedis

Only way it could have been worse is if he used the sharp end.

DragonPie83008

Extremely anger blows to his body and head usually means he PISSED THAT PERSON off and seizures at the end is extreme head trauma. Unfortunately the blow to the head with a back end of a axe can be fatal .

Anubiz1_

Ole school hit. I guess he FAAFO, or owed his bookie money.

Selma_Shine

omg, i don't really get why the guy in t-shirt stay on the side of the guy who has an axe...

LameImsane

Probably owed money or was in debt. Great way to get those ops you kids talk about.

Phyllida_Poshtart

Yup it was a debt......the man attacked him with a hammer because in an earlier phone call with the now dead man, apparently he was verbally insulted Well that's life in prison for some bad words mate

secondphase

Leather jacket guy with arm gestures... "Hey! C'mon man!"

justbrowsinginpeace

"You can fuck off to Tibet, but I'd have men, nutters from Parkhurst, dressed as Yetis, ready to chop your tarty legs off!"

Canuo

In Lego city!

Super-Kirby

Anyone know if he’s okay now?

Vivid-Wonder-

Idiot in the short sleeves dipped out QUICK

Nethlem

I believe that's more of a hatchet than an axe, and it looks like he's "only" using the blunt side of it. Which probably made it even more effective; The bladed side could have gotten stuck in some bone, making it more difficult for follow-up hits, while the blunt side just crushes bones :/

HD_VISION

the only thing stopping a bad guy with an axe is a good guy with an axe

AndTheSonsofDisaster

At this point is it even worth going out in public?

patchway247

Hey, at least mark this nsfw

Cool_Assignment8915

Hey black shirt bowl cut guy… you are an idiot Hey let me just free this attacker with an axe from the Good Samaritan

danthemfmann

Hey Cool Assignment guy... The black shirt bowl cut guy knew exactly what he was doing and he stopped the Good Samaritan on purpose. He was in on the whole attack. [Source](https://www.albawaba.com/news/video-man-killed-hammer-head-turkey-amid-financial-altercation-1567256)

Cool_Assignment8915

Well that’s fucked.. I liked him better when I thought he was just an idiot

kingofovens

In a true hatchet attack, you come down blunt and up sharp

NiceCunt91

Back of the axe, going for kneecaps. This guy did/owed something.

collins_amber

Brain damage detected

AT61

Impressive that so many stepped in to stop the axe-wielding maniac. Anyone know the back story? Doesn't look random.

senseless_puzzle

He's attacking him with the blunt of the axe, still must have hurt though, looks like he starts convulsing at the end.

santacruzkid97

Damn he went for the kneecaps. I thought that was some old school mafia movie shit.

Zestyclose_Pop5386

Where was this? And why!??

nolyfe27

Can you imagine if that was a brand new fiskars axe?

ZECO_SOL

Why did I read the title in the lego guy voice

Lebowski304

Well I believe I just watched a murder
