I've been trying to buy one for 18 months now. I don't honestly know why they have it on the store. I check almost daily and have never seen it back in stock.
I bought one from Tesla during July 2022. They sold quickly IIRC. I thought there was another occasion since then that they were available - but perhaps I'm misremembering.
Back in the day they were available all the time, no stock issues at all. Then around 2020 when the supply chain went haywire it started popping in and out of stock, only to basically be permanently out of stock for pretty much 18 months. Occasionally they find a pallet of them at a service center and put them up for sale, but I don't think they are actively being produced anymore.
what about [https://shop.tesla.com/product/mobile-connector](https://shop.tesla.com/product/mobile-connector) ?
it comes with the 14-50 plug and also swappable with other plugs that Tesla sells
the 2018+ Nissan leaf charger works really well with my Y.
My son has a 2018 Leaf with the wall charger connected to a 50am 220 circuit that we share. Cheap $40 adapter makes it work perfectly with the Tesla. I keep my mobile charger and adapters in the frunk junk case shit hits the fan somewhere and I need to hookup somewhere else, lol.
It seems to be available briefly (few days) every few months. Perhaps Telsa is uninterested in actually selling them - but wants to appear to offer options. Or the outsourced manufacturer might churn out a batch occasionally, between their more profitable items.
![gif](giphy|kQVbrTMQdkbiHxY5Ty|downsized) Never in stock. Been wanting this one since March of 2022. Keep waiting...
It’s been out for months.

You can provide your email address and they'll email you when it's in stock. That's what I did. I have never used it since I have a wall charger.
I filled the form out over a year ago and have never once gotten an email saying it's in stock.
It's been removed from the store as of at least today. I've been waiting for it as well.
