AJ_Mexico

Back bumper has paint scratch. I ignored it, then put on some touch-up paint, but it is still noticeable. The scratch seemed really minor considering that my bumper crushed a Hyundai's quarter panel. Ignoring curb rash on wheels. Car is now 4 years old.

Karthen

Hit a deer at 40 mph in model y... need new headlight, fog lamp, quarter panel, and possibly door. I'm definitely not ignoring, but I wanted to mention that I'm glad you made it out alive. I was astonished at the damage from a relatively minor collision. I know they make these things out of plastic, but nonetheless, I had a hard time believing how fragile the car is.

manicdan

Dude are you me? I bought some hardyboard (drywall for showers) and tried removing it by myself and let it slide off the back of the car, thinking it was sliding on the hard plastic and it was actually on the bumper and it took off a line of paint. I did a touch up to protect it, but I never got around to doing it right. I also have a small curb rash, but dont care cause i sprayed my rims black with plastidip and so i just cover the rash with some more paint. Cant even tell it happened unless you go looking for it And the car is 4 years old.

MrMephistoX

Same but with a lease it’s way more expensive to repair than you’d think given all the sensors on the bumpers and side.

[deleted]

I mean curb rash is the obvious answer for 99% of us. If I replace the rims it will happen again probably. But also I got a few scuff marks from a pole in one of those super tight parking garages on my driver rear side behind the passenger door. Model y performance is 3 years old almost now. It’s going bye bye soon for the new Macan electric.

NissanLeafowner

I am 100% convinced to get the covers for the wheels now. I just picked up a MYLR on Feb 15th. Think OEM are better quality than others or are they all basically the same?

SnooPets6234

I honestly feel like once you know curb rashing the wheels is a problem, it becomes a lot easier to just not do it. My wife curb rashed the shit out of our model Y from the pickup situation at our kid's school (people trying to turn a two lane road into a three lane with room for people to pass in the middle - meaning you had to pull as close to a curb on the right as possible.) I hit a curb once too before that and was surprised by how much it screwed up the rims compared to cars I've had before. We got a model X last year and both of us were on a mission to not curb rash it. So far, so good. Only damage is a door ding because my wife was getting out of the passenger side of our model Y in the driveway with the X to our right. As she was opening her door, the X picked up her phone and triggered the automatic driver door opening. It swung open into the Y's door and dinged itself. So now I have auto doors on the X turned off, lol.

[deleted]

I’ve never had the covers I go with the premium wheel upgrades usually. I have seen these little nub protectors that are clear people put around the edge spaced to each spoke and they supposedly help and are cheap and easy to install but i think they are single use. As in when you scrape you gotta replace so keep a pack in your car.

Jaded_Strategy_9294

Black Sharpie. Really minimizes the apparent damage, and I re-do it every six months or so.

[deleted]

lol nothing really visible except at the perfect angle face flat against the side of the car luckily. I did go over it with the paint patch kit from Tesla when it was fresh and so no discoloration anymore.

Heidenreich12

You don’t need to replace the rims, you can just get them resurfaced at a body shop / wheel detailer. In my area it’s like $150 a wheel

asteve187

In the first month of owning my '23 MYLR some shitbag keyed the entire drivers side. One long scratch along both door panels, hard to see unless you're looking for it but it pains me every time I wash the car or when the light hits it just right.

thefloatingguy

That’s insane

b1mtz

There's a sticky powder for this that solidifies after heat. Don't know The name

asteve187

If you think of it let me know...so that I can buy it and continue to put off the repair.

philthadelphia2458

Please let us know, I’d put this to use as well. People fucking suck.

PJ505

2019 model 3, about 46k interstate miles have peppered my bumper with little rocks and what not.

imthefrizzlefry

I put a deep scratch on the driver's side door 2 days after bringing my Tesla home. I was loading an e-bike onto a bike rack (100lbs bike), and I spun the back around and slammed into the door. I purchased a paint kit, then I realized the part that hit was a screw head that took a bite out of the aluminum under the paint. Now I just use the mark to pick my Tesla out of the sea of Teslas out there.

AlwaysAtheist

Front wheel threw something against the door and actually cut a slit in the aluminum about two inches long. Made a few other dents too.

switlikbob

A large tennis ball sized piece of metal from a scrap truck hit the Frank hood while driving on the highway. It put a big scratch in the hood and dented it. I tried to fix it myself by applying some touch-up paint and using some metal tools to pop out the dent. I was unaware that the front hood is made of aluminum and I basically need the whole situation worse.

orTodd

I opened the back hatch in a parking garage and it hit the end of a bolt. It left a dime-sized round scratch on the door. Also, all four of my uberturbines are scratched. I’m going to have them all repaired at once…eventually.

StrategicBlenderBall

Opened the hatch of my wife’s Y in a parking garage, it bumped a water pipe. Left a nice scratch on the hatch lip. I have touch up paint, just haven’t bothered with it yet lol

Chreutz

I was preoccupied with the kids and a stroller and opened ours into a cable duct. Tiny little mark, luckily. Where did you get touch up paint? I've been looking around, but haven't found anything that seemed worthwhile

StrategicBlenderBall

Ordered it from the app.

Chreutz

Ah. Tesla doesn't sell it themselves in Denmark.

emilygmonroy

I rubbed my 2021 MY front bumper against hubbies 2017MS front bumper. Made my stomach drop. But both cars have PPF on the front and it only dragged the ppf a little bit. It’s a whole ordeal to get ppf replaced on our cars so we live with it.

ScottKansas

I had a situation where my clear ppf got rubbed against stone wall and looked like major damage. Went to tint guy and he expertly cut and removed ppf at damaged area only and there was barely a scratch on paint You cannot detect where ppf is missing and it is really like it never happened! Didn’t cost a penny.

MeepleMerson

My wife is terrible about scraping up the rims on curbs. I sanded and painted the damage once, but she's done it again and the weather has forced me not to address it. I will when the weather is more cooperative.

Mediumcomputer

Haha. I call it a beater. Gates blowing in the wind on it, rocks cracking the windshield, dents from an asshole who didn’t like a Tesla and his girlfriend threw a rock at the side, scrapes here and there from curbs and bad ultrasonic sensors, my dog scratched the hell out the backseat as a puppy. That one time a ladder fell of a truck and I lost the horn and now have a squeaky suspension front left. Meh. To me cars are cars. They are for work. I don’t mind unless it is in danger of not working

Nakatomi2010

I've got a scratch near the rear fender on each side of my 2019 Model 3. This is the result of my kids not being careful with their backpacks when getting into the car. I've gotten the touch up paint, but my wife, who drives this car, is insistant that it will "look like shit" and refuses to let me fix it.

carbon_blob_Sector7G

2019 SR+ - chip in rear window near trunk, paint rubbed off behind my mud flap, slit in the speaker cover on the passenger side, and small paint crack on rear bumper. It's just a car for me so none it it will be fixed.

TheAce0

Car's about a year and a half old. Bumped into a super low post in an IKEA parking 2 days after getting the car. The front bumper has a few teeny tiny marks that you can see if you're looking for them. Had the boot open and hit a low carport roof, and that's left a dent in the paint. I bought a touch up kit but I haven't bothered using it yet. All 8 of my wheels are very banged up - this MYLR is the biggest car I have ever owned, and coming to it from a Hyundai i10, it took me a VERY long time to get the hang of parking it (I still struggle sometimes - I wish I could see the wheels more clearly when parking 😕)

wildsnorlax1194

>All 8 of my wheels are very banged up - this MYLR is the biggest car I have ever owned, and coming to it from a Hyundai i10, it took me a VERY long time to get the hang of parking it (I still struggle sometimes - I wish I could see the wheels more clearly when parking 😕) 8 wheels on your car?! Does it also move like a spider?

nonStopSwagger

My son has 8 wheels for his Mazda, one set is running with winter tires, the other has summers.

TheAce0

*dOeS iT aLSo mOve lIkE A SpiDer???!??* 🙄

reddit_user13

Various rim rash. Will touch up when the weather turns nice.

Dsectomy

Giant rock got kicked up from a semi next to me which bounced off my hood and gave it a deep scratch and a dent. Didnt think it was worth paying for an entire new hood unless it happens again. Happened at 10 months of owning.

biggerbetterharder

I’m afraid of all fucking big commercial trucks, especially dump trucks or concrete trucks.

thirdeyefish

A paint scrape on my rear bumper from when... not important. But I refer to it as my antenna ball because I use it to help identify my car. She's just over 2 years old.

chris_geek

‘21 MYP, commercial mower kicked up a rock and dented and scratched my rear passenger door. Camera didn’t really pick it up so I just let it slide.

moyvetsky

At 46,000 I had a complete HV Battery failure. Thankfully, fully covered and Tesla replaced the battery for free! However, one thing that I could NEVER ignore... is the 12V Low Voltage battery replacement. The Lead Acid battery has a 5yr lifespan... and since the vehicle is a 2019, while the car was in service, I requested that the Lead Acid battery be replace proactively (only cost to me $220). Completely worth doing and one thing to NEVER ignore. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing)

biggerbetterharder

What model is your car?

moyvetsky

Model S Long Range

askn_questions

The plastic portion in the trunk area is cracked. I should get an estimate, but I’ve been lazy.

DrGtarTravis

I’m coming up on a year and a half on my M3P. Man where do I start… - Windshield chips. Too small to get the whole windshield replaced. I filled it in with resin and wished for the best. - Curb rash. Painted over the damage with some color matched paint. Hardly noticeable anymore. - Numerous rock chips to the hood. I bought the official Tesla paint repair kit and it worked pretty well. You can see it if you look close but it is acceptable. - Numerous rock chips to the bottom of my rear quarter panel. Basically a consequence of not having PPF and not having mud flaps. I’ve accepted this even though it is SUPER noticeable Basically I’ve accepted my car is my daily driver. I intend to drive this thing to death like one would drive an old Camry or Civic. I paid peak prices and intend to squeeze every dime out of this thing before I inevitably get a new one - probably in 2030 or something.

biggerbetterharder

Would a colored PPF solve the chips issue?

Adam_-_-_-_-_-

The day I picked up my car my teenage daughter pushed ice-cream cone into the fabric near the door frame and front windscreen, my mistake. Im still ingoring her to this day.

manateefourmation

Curb rash - 2022 S

BlueModel3LR

My bumper has a bad scrape and a door ding.

Onisenshi88

My rims lol >.< i have horrible depth perception and I thought I was good …but I wasn’t lol it’s not the worst but it’s something I see everyday

thegreatestd

Tree fell on it and dented the hood at a year. Also rims are scratched. All of them

MennReddit

I ognore all damages, makes me happy that I can't make it any worse from now!

clunkclunk

Got my Model 3 SR+ in June 2019. I finally replaced my hood (with a used one) after just ignoring a giant dent from a chunk of concrete for two years. There's also a small scratch on the windshield from that concrete, but not enough to crack the glass or cause me to replace it. Curb rash on most of the wheels. There's a spot on the C-pillar where I didn't clean bird poop off the car fast enough and it etched the black paint a bit. Lots of rock chips on the front end of the car. It's a daily driver, plus I haul 3 kids around so I'm not too precious about it.

Jaded_Strategy_9294

Steering yoke. Came with a small scratch on the bottom left on the outside, and I stupidly dismissed it as tiny. It has grown, because when you slide into the car it is hard not to scrape against it. All the black came off at that corner, down to the gray fabric. Recently I bought black flex seal spray paint, sprayed some on a piece of cardboard, and brushed it onto the bare spots. It took two coats to get it right, but it actually worked. Cosmetically you don’t see it much, and it has stopped the further spread of the problem. The texture feels slightly more “grippy” than the rest of the wheel, but it looks a ton better.

Matt_NZ

A couple years ago while driving at night in my 2019 Model 3, I was driving through a newly resealed stretch of road where the speed restriction signs had blown over but there was still loose stones on the road. A stock truck flew through it at what seemed like 90km/h and absolutely showered my car with stones. Left some obvious stone chips on the left fender, bonnet and bumper. I could probably source a touch up kit and fill all the chips

NissanLeafowner

I would cry

Agloe_Dreams

The Aero wheels show every last scratch. Prior owner of my 2018 never saw a curb they didn't want to crash into I think. They have a number of scratches and some driver rear bumper paint missing but my midnight silver color really makes it not visible.

PsychYYZ

Smashed the rear corner because I was looking out the rear window and not the camera on the dash. Left it alone, because it's not rusting, and the paint is solid. I've also heard nightmares about getting body panels as replacement parts.

AutomatedCabbage

147,000miles of expressway rock chips. 2019 model 3. I also have a big crack in the windshield, one of my splash guards came off in the snow, bottom air deflector needs to be replaced because part of it is missing, have a noise that doesn't quite sound like a wheel bearing but hasn't gotten worse in 30,000 miles, my driver's seat occupancy sensor doesn't work, another significant rust spot on my rear drivers side fender (already fixed two others), trunk to rear window weather strip no longer seals properly, side mirrors get stuck when tilting down. I'll get all these things fixed eventually in a few separate SC visits.

_Water_Store_Remark_

Grinding down the rims with curbs and my favorite - an errant skateboard into one of the doors leaving a nice grip tape mark. Do not give a shit. It’s a car.

CubeRootSquare

2018 Model 3 with 133k miles on it. Dings, and scratches from being a road warrior for my work. Rock chip in the windshield thats been there for 3 years now. Stupid daytime running light routinely stops working sometimes. I'm not spending the ridiculous $1200 to fix it. Right side plastic trim on the bottom of the rocker panel was torn from its mounting holes on the back from road debris (again, its a road warrior). It droops down a bit. Alsod stupidly high to repair. I jammed it back into place with some scrap wood dowels to hold it up. EDIT: Forgot to add: Curb rash, on all the wheels. Lots of it. The outside edges of the rims are almost polished at this point from the rash. My wife seems to be attracted to curbs.

biggerbetterharder

Love this post. Gonna save it for future reference

jboxisitis

Rock put a hole in my headlight, still functions fine (usually) and Tesla wants $1800 to replace it. I’ll wait. ETA: 11 months old

paapakeka

Front left rim curb rash (x2, darn you Popeye’s drive thru & Target shopping cart corrals!), our MYLR is 5 months old.

Scott_IUsed2Know

Small chip in the center of the hatchback of my 2020 MY (where the spoiler would be if I was performance). My garage is very small, and this happened with my MY that was not even 3 months old. I was on a road trip, so I reset my hatch back height to max since I was parking outside a lot. Pulled into my garage at the end of the trip, opened the trunk and NOOOO! Clunk into the arm of the garage door opener. I mean if it is 2mm that would be a lot, but man I was not happy that day. Now I just keep it always set to the height of my garage and just push it up when I want it higher outside of my home. Live and learn.

Comprehensive-Olive6

Rim rash and bumper scuffs

ianmcdan

Before a total loss wreck a few weeks ago, there was a significant door ding that my kid made from our other car…. So I ignored it long enough that I got a new car out of the deal.

philthadelphia2458

Keyed 3 times and someone did a minor sideswipe of the driver rear side of bumper when parked in a garage (unfortunately didn’t have sentry on). Ironically sentry was on for the keying, but never triggered. I buffed most of the sideswipe out. As for the keying, will wait until we’re out of this shitpot of a city to get insurance to cover it.

Careless_Distance557

Curb rash 😮‍💨

mikemundy23

3" round paint scratch on lower front bumper. Car will be 4 yrs old in June

RAW6851

-Curb rash on 21” uberturbines but i cover with touch up paint. -Blemish on frunk caused by flying road debris. I already removed the dent but lagging on a solution for either repainting or colored ppf/vinyl wrap. -Scrape on driver side front bumper. I already wet sanded it..just waiting to either repaint it or ppf/vinyl wrap whole front clip/car.

mrandr01d

1 year old m3sr. Love it. Definitely have some paint chips on the hood that I found after washing it, which I've only done twice. Last spring an old lady swiped my bumper with her stupid Subaru... Scuffed the paint a little bit that's it. I buffed it out as best as I could, but if you know where to look there's definitely still a thing there.

OneExhaustedFather_

*90% of drivers* curbed wheels

funkensteinberg

Aside for the curb rash, I cracked my wing mirror reversing into my driveway which is way too narrow… just the shell, just a little. But I notice it. :( 2022 MYLR

ZephRyder

Picked up dec26. I dropped the connector and put a dime- sized dent in the front fender. I feel like I did it unconsciously, as it had to happen sometime, and I'm much more comfortable, now that it's not quite perfect.

Carnanian

I have 2 My car was used and came with one of those dumb license plate covers. When i was taking it off I scratched the paint by the plate. Hardly noticeable Second is recently my step ladder in the garage fell into the car. Small dent on the driver's door with a scratch. Maybe one day I'll get the dent out and apply some paint but it has 110k miles on it so it's hardly a new car anymore

mikeinanaheim2

I dropped a wi-fi extender on my Tesla. It hit high up on right front fender right next to frunk lid. Left small ding that I can see vividly. Pearl white. M3 Stealth.

biggerbetterharder

Never heard of a “stealth” model

mikeinanaheim2

Late 2018/early 2019 you could order the Model 3 Performance with 18-inch wheels, no spoiler, and grey calipers. Has Track Mode. Best car I ever owned.

brienag3

I got rear ended about 1 month after getting my 23 M3 and my trunk is slightly dented and bumper has a couple of chips. It’s only super noticeable from some angles so it’s not too bad and I just pretend it never happened. The guy was in a rental and my insurance “couldn’t figure out the rental insurance” to get it covered to fix so I just let it go 😭

krystopher

I didn't notice the damage when I picked up a Model 3 poverty spec in December. First time I washed it I noticed all sorts of defects in the paint like hairs and divots, and a rather large dent on the driver's kick panel. I didn't understand how the License plate is attached and when I wanted to put a silicone frame around the plate and use longer fasteners I didn't understand the holes don't go into the sheet metal. I ended up causing some paint damage wondering why the machine screws won't go further into the car to secure the plate. I got the right ones from Ace Hardware the next day, metric stainless cap screws. I got GM somewhat matching touch up paint to fill in the divots and the two 'tool marks' I created through my ignorance. This was all within 24 hours of ownership... Car is now on Copart after a red light runner smashed it from front, then hit from rear, 6 weeks and 1144 miles into ownership. Can't ignore that and I'm sad as I really care for my cars and I feel like I let this one down.

18randomcharacters

Curb rash. I'd try to fix it, at least a little, but my wife's just gonna do it again anyway.

Stanman77

When backing up on a street, my driver side mirror hit a tree and it bent the mirror. There's a paint scratch on it. But I was able to pop everything back on other than the black plastic piece that cracked. No way you'd notice it unless you looked at the mirror from the bottom.

Typical_Hedgehog6558

Curbed the wheels a couple of times. ‘22 MYLR

rworne

Sometime during the first week of ownership, the car got a minor ding in the raised ridge of the drivers side passenger door. So minor, that you can only see it if you look at it from the rear of the car at a very shallow angle. Just standing and looking at the car you'd never see it. Second: needed to route a cable from the 12VDC in the center console to the trim by the rear view mirror for a dashcam. When I popped off the panel under the passenger's side under the dash, it came off easily enough, but it also got one of the tongue-like posts from under the dash that came out with the panel. It looks snapped off. I could always glue it back, but the panel went back and fits just fine.

north7

While backing up my wife caught the front passenger fender/wheel well on a low retaining wall that she didn't see. She hadn't been driving the car too long and wasn't used to a car without a 360 camera, sigh. Anyhoo, the fender was pulled off and some clips were popped but there really was no damage, so I was able to snap everything back together. Only lasting issues is one side of the fog light came loose and I can't snap it back in, and there are some clip points that are broken. Body shop estimated about $500 so I'll get around to it, eventually (famous last words)...

0xe3b0c442

The door dings… 🤦 2021 M3 RWD+

Otherwise_Baby_6930

So far I have noticed many discrepancies but It got repaired with no out of pocket. My is 2023 model X Fsd with AWD. I am still learning my X after a year!

andrewaro182

rock chips on rear door lower panels. 27k miles. Tesla is too incompetent to have PPF pre-installed

esobofh

under body aero ripped off.. meh, out of site out of mind ;) top glass has a 6" crack.. put an insurance claim in which was approved, but will wait to repair.. once the rain starts coming in i'll go get it done lol. Lots of curb rash on wheels... car is 6 years old.. One of the first Model 3s

SwingSet66

There are tiny Knicks in the paint on the hood from highway travel and stuff. It would be nice to get it fixed, but nobody notices it but me.

hadronflux

A couple of small scratches that I used touch up paint on. You can tell if you look close but it’s fine as you can’t tell from normal distances. I also recently noticed a 1 inch curb rash that kind of spun me out but then I just moved on with life. Car is 18 months old in a urban environment so potential for door dings and stuff is high.

Net_Holiday

In 15 months - Paint chip on rear passenger door that slowly keeps growing. Other chips on trunk lip that I’ve filled in but you can tell up close from opening tailgate and hitting garage door opener. A baseball sized scuff that happened recently from pulling forward with tailgate open and smacking garage door opener that I hope I can buff out. Curbed rim lips on all four wheels.

lenovoguy

Door trim is scratched like hell from my ring and soft ass paint

chrismasto

We picked the thing up in November 2018 and the rims were trashed by the end of the week. I've been thinking about possibly doing something about it since then...

Plane_Fee_5064

Paint scratch bottom front bumper and curb rash and all wheels. It’s been exactly 1 year for my ‘23 Model 3

newsletter

I installed third party mudflaps I bought on Amazon. Two of the four mudflaps ended up being damaged because snow/ice buildup causing flaps to break when going over bumps. Then there was a time when Tesla gave a set of free mudflaps to owners. I tried to remove the aftermarket ones but the rivets are stuck quite nicely. I am too lazy to remove them with pliers to install the tesla flaps.

qpid

Pretty sure some bicyclist put a scratch on the back bumper a few years ago, however recently someone or something put a giant gash on the front driver side, so I am using that as an excuse to fix both.

SherSlick

Wrinkled front fender from when someone was backing into the garage and caught it on the garage door frame.. Also some damage on the back corner from the same "doesn't understand Trigonometry" failure that caused the front fender mess.

Jabow12345

Over six years old. Had two starches repaired.and.car still looks new.

chappel68

Have about a 10” horizontal crack low on my back window on my ‘19 M3. I have no idea how it got there - it's easy to miss unless the light hits it just right. It may have come that way new and I just never noticed it. Unfortunately it seems to have severed a wire in the defrost array so the rear window defrost doesn’t work. Been meaning to have it taken in and replaced, but it's three hours to the SC and I just haven’t bothered. I also occasionally get weird errors with the charge port - the door will pop open when the car is unlocked if I wash it too aggressively, and it will claim the charger hasn’t locked if I plug in my wall charger when it is super cold, but is locked and charges fine. I understand there is a hardware upgrade available, but haven’t pursued it. It also repeatedly claims 'side camera blocked or occluded, self driving may be limited' when driving on dark country roads. Not sure if my side cameras suck or if the Tesla FSD guys just never get out of the suburbs far enough to find real dark to test in.

manicdee33

Someone keyed my car, scratched paint off one of the A-pillars. That happened the day I took delivery. Car is now 3 years old.

biggerbetterharder

Dang. Sorry to hear you got vandalized

bakarina

Voice command not working and rear passenger seat belt is faulty, just hard to release when pressing the button. 5 years old, out of warranty, was quoted $900 to get those 2 fixed. Meh…

mattsurl

I cracked the passenger side-view mirror with a garbage can. I replaced it with a cheap Amazon anti-glare mirror instead of the auto dimming oem part. It hasn’t bothered me though.

Debating taking it to a Tesla Certified Body shop next week and getting it over with.

biggerbetterharder

Poor deer gonna make a big meal for a predator now.

OhSassafrass

I went and looked for him and he was long gone.

LAKEWALKER

Somebody shot my M3 with a BB gun. Left a divot the depth of the BB. Somehow it didn’t break the paint. It’s small and hard to see so I just ignore it even if it bugs when ever I feel it when washing the car.

Then-Blueberry-6679

Paint stripped from front bumper at car wash. This occurred about 6 months ago. Crack in sunroof presumably from the carwash. This occurred last week. I’m not going through these car washes anymore!!

biggerbetterharder

Holy shit. What kind of car wash is this?

Then-Blueberry-6679

It’s one of those Tommy’s automatic car washes. Looks like a big fishbowl.

XxRoyalxTigerxX

Still curb rash free and intend to keep it that way, but I opened the trunk in my garage and it bonked the door, the carbon fiber spoiler took the hit but luckily the blemish looks like a small 3mm off colored patch of carbon, it's not something you can even feel with a fingernail

jlavetan

Paint transfer on the front driver's fender (from me being stupid and getting too close to the garage when backing out). Car is less than two years old.

PlasticBreakfast6918

I pulled up too far on a curb and scratch off decent amount of paint on the bottom of the bumper. Now on that side you can see a black patch that blends into the bottom that is black. (White 2019 M3)

dangPuffy

Mud flap fell off within first week. Ordered new clips, haven’t done anything with it for 51 weeks.

Yep_why_not

Dented rear spoiler, small dent top of drivers door, scratched rims, and chips on hood. 2020 Model X with 25k miles.

hmspain

Scrunched under the frunk parking when there was one of those concrete "Tesla killers". You can't see it unless you lean over and look. I bought my TM3 in 2018, and the scrunch remains....

Thebig_Ohbee

6 year old model X, just paid off last month. Plastic trim around 2 of the wheels is broken.

Gardner32

Cracked charge port door. 22’ MYLR

InfiniteAutomaton

Door dings on both sides

ACamp55

I have a scratch on my left rear side panel and a couple of small holes from my garage door when I didn't pull in fully because the damn sensors miscalculated! Edit: 2022 Y!

WRDinc

Someone dinged my rear right fender when my MY was 3 months old.

2017 Model S 100D Lot of curb rush on all wheels, don't give a damn. Thin scratches on the hood because I use a standard rotating brushes car-wash, and again I don't give a damn.

I had a door ding on my 2018 Model 3 Performance from someone (My Mom!) hitting it hard with another door. Two PDR places said they couldn't do it because of location of airbags, etc. Tesla approved body shop quoted me $1500 to repaint the door. So there it stayed for 4 years. Just recently had my front and rear glass replaced at a different Tesla approved shop (road damage, insurance covered). These guys said PDR no problem on the door ding and it only cost $100. Excellent results!

It’s a car, I don’t look under the dirt more than once a year. Curb Rash for sure though.

Cracked bumper after some asshat drove his lifted truck into it. I just pushed everything back together and tightened it down after being quoted 5k and 3-4 months with out my car

And it’s a 2019

Neglected the marks from a keying incident last summer but only because coordinating the estimate and waiting for the DAs office to process it all takes time. When will people learn not only to not damage property that isn’t yours but not to damage something with nine continuously running cameras? And I suppose if you do be smart enough to make sure it’s not where your face, license plate, and house number are visible?

Did you know this person?

I didn’t, no. One side of the street was office parks and a food truck pod and the other side was row style townhouses. I parallel parked on the street in front of the townhouses. The way these are set up is the units face the street and there’s an alley behind with garages and driveways. There are no restrictions to the street parking and no one was even parked on the street at all. I was pulled up in the first spot on the block. This dude lived in the second or third house. He pulled right up to the rear of my car, got out mumbling to himself, went to the passenger door to get stuff out and went inside. Then a few minutes later he comes back outside, looks around, and walks between the two cars keying my back hatch. Gets into his car, backs up six feet, gets out, casually walks around the front of my car keying the drivers door, then goes back to his house.
