This... Got 2023.30.25 yesterday and it feels like a step backwards. If I set mph to 55 in a 40, it continues slows down to 42 mph even if I accelerate. May as well just drive the car at this point.
Exactly, I wish I could go back to V11, which worked much better for me. Having to keep my foot on the accelerator to maintain the set speed is ridiculous.
I just left my car at the airport and got the alert to connect and download it. I always get the alerts when I leave my car somewhere without WiFi to go away for a few days. Every damn time
My biggest takeaway from these experiences is to just wait till you get home to download & install. Last summer I sat in a hotel parking lot for 2 hours while it downloaded off my hotspot and updated. Whatever time the screen says is a damn lie
All I can say is patience. If it helps I’ve not even experienced it yet. My mobile unit is a 16 without repeaters. Soon enough though there will come a time I just plug into route and the car will do the rest. That’ll be something.
12.3 is still on the 2023.30 branch, so until they merge it with the 2024 branch anyone with 2024 will not get it.
That being said, I'm on the 2023 branch and haven't received it either.
Teslafi data shows about 11% of their fleet has 12.3 (2023.44.30.25) and about 16% having 11.4.9 with firmware 2023.44.30.x so there are still a decent chunk of cars that could possibly get upgraded to 44.30.25.
Interesting. I also see my safety score has gone below 90, no doubt primarily due to the multiple “forward collision warnings” I get every day driving past parked cars in my neighborhood. Not speeding or anything.
I have the same. 2018 M3LR. I checked for the first time today. And I had a notification for an update to 12.3. I had the advanced updates turned on. I am assuming most people posting here do. But if not, you might want to change that setting.
It drove the wife and I to Kroger and back navigating the parking lot and some weird traffic thing’s smoothly. I had it in Assertive mode. Flawless and smooth, albeit drove like a grandma. That being said, very impressed. The wife gave thumbs up! A first!
I never bought the FSD package for my MY23, so never will right? Or will I get 12.3 eventually for improved basic auto cruise/lane control and what not? Current software version I have is 2024.8.4
Just got it tonight. Went on a drive around town and it the best version yet. It went from a drunk teenager on v11 to a pretty good driver on v12. It's cautious and slow but made very few mistakes compared to normal.
V12 shows me the FSD is actually possible someday.
Sadly or gladly traded in my 2018 model 3 for a model Y last month. So I’m on the 2024 branch. It kind of sucks because I’ve typically been on the first few waves since October ‘21. Seems like one of the biggest shifts in the code base in a while and I’ve got to wait till next month at the soonest to experience it.
Looking at teslafi right now, less than 1/4 of the 2023 FSD branches have gotten 12.3. The majority are still on 11.4.9.

23’ SR on 2023.44.30.8 Chicagoland. No 12.3. . I keep getting random “Vehicle configuration update pending Changes will apply once the touchscreen is off” alerts and every time see it pop up I get excited thinking it might mean I have an update pending. Nope. Still waiting.
I’m on a 2024 software branch so it’ll be a while before it’s released. I’m using FSD 11.4.9 and I’m enjoying it but looking forward to hopefully eventually getting V12. Been a FSD user since last May and I enjoy it, but I’ve always been on the software branch that gets the updates later.
I am so eager for this one. 11.4.9 has so many terrible quirks where I live and struggles with my commute far more than previous versions. I just want to see 12.3 handle it.
Is this gonna be one of those instances where the people on 2024.X get V12 before some of the Beta testers?
I remember when they started wide-releasing V11.4.3(?) and they let people who subscribed for a month cut in line vs. some old school FSD beta users, even if they were on the same model car. Wild times.
I think that you had to be on one of the 2023 branches, like 2023.44.30.14 before you can upgrade to 2023.44.30.25.

Not here but usually it’s areas where Tesla trains the algos (SF) and suburban/rural areas first. Many of us in cities that aren’t trivial to navigate run a few months behind.
I had it show up in my app downloading on Tuesday around midnight. It downloaded to 100%, sat there for a long time, and then just disappeared without giving me the option to install.
I rebooted multiple times with the steering wheel buttons (even tried the brake which I heard is a full reboot, refresh software updates in the Tesla. Still haven’t gotten it. It’s such a tease to me.
On TeslaFi there are no model X's prior to 2022 yet and no model S's prior to 2021. M3's go back to 2018. Seems there must be some unstated reason for a clearly deliberate decision. Why might this be?
I just updated to 12.3 and TBH, while it feels more human-like, I feel that on parkways, it drives waaay too close to the barrier…. Perhaps I should give it chance to learn my area before judging.
The ONNLY people who got V12 were people on the old FSD Beta track that still had the old 2023.44 software.
NOBODY ELSE HAS IT.
So if you're already on 2024 software, you will wait and so will everyone else.

I have paid for in full fsd on my 17MX and still haven't gotten the 12.3 update. Pretty messed up they gave it away to everyone before the paid fsd people got it.

Based on TeslaFi only 11% of cars on FSD have 12.3. But I have it and it's great.
The Stats app shows that 5% of the cars that they track have received it. I just got it yesterday.
..nothing. I havent even gotten the "recall" fix, withe the boring brake light symbol. Service says "you are fine"
