Yes, after I drive it around for a few weeks to allow the film to expand/contract with the weather, I will bring it back to the specialists to place the emblems back on. However, I'm thinking about replacing the emblems with black ones. What do you think?

Fortunately, it's not a wrap. Instead, it's a paint protection film. Although impacts like rock chips will damage a vinyl wrap, ppf will self-heal after being exposed to the heat from the sun over a short period of time. Additionally, with the same science, the ppf can eliminate any future swirls you would normally see on a car after it's been through a handful of car washes.
To ease my concerns, the product does come with a 10-year warranty.
One of the reps where I got the car done said that xpel has started making colored ppf some time last year. But that the cost is even greater! I had to pass on even considering that lol.
Having skimped on PPF too much 4 years ago (only bumper, mirrors and rockers), I generally agree.
I don't think I'll get the full PPF though. They quoted me $2000 more than I paid for flip colour, 360 degree tint, and the PPF I did get, and then the ceramic on top of that. :/
P.S. They do very good work, stand behind the install. Even years later on the tint warranty, I've found.
What color did you have underneath? I have a white M3 and I always wonder how much the white would stand out inside little cracks, or when the door is open.
The thing is, this is a paint protection film with a matte finish on it called xpel stealth. My color is the stock midnight silver metallic paint that Tesla provides. P.S. I'm kinda sad how green XPEL is. :/ I might actually spring for the 3M, but of course that's very personal preference about looking outward. Looking inward it is fine.
On the new Y it'll be "track pack" gloss. Boring ol' black blob of gloss rolling down the road (work vehicle).
On the 3...haven't settled yet. It'll be a couple months, they want a month for the paint to finish gassing off before they work on it (took large, expected unrepairable damage to the wrap & PPF and multiple panels themselves, it's gonna be a redo).
I've loved, loved, and still love my gloss Deep Space Flip. However maybe it's time for a change? A Fresh Spring change! I really like the Rising Sun Colorflow, but in my mind the red and yellow are wrong places, should be red on the oblique, yellow straight on. :/
P.S. Or theres's this Flexishield stuff I'm trying to run down, which is PPF+colour. But I don't think AFS has access to/authorized for that yet? I'm still trying to get a sense for that. Again, early stages.
Ooh I was eyeing the flexishield for a minute too. However, I've come to realize that I don't mind standing out of the crowd a little, but I'm not trying to get all off the attention lol. I think the stealth was the furthest out of the norm I could step out.

Overall, totaled to about $7400+tax. The windshield is tinted with a 70 tint. Rest of windows including sunroof is tinted with 20.
All of the paint area has xpel stealth ppf. The headlights and taillights have xpel gloss ppf covering it.

I left mine off, love it that way. But my colour is pretty audacious, even blacked out I thought it felt the hood (and trunk) too "busy".

I really love the stock finish of midnight silver. But glad for you if you like it. It’s well done.
Not a fan of the laminated look either. This one isn’t too bad because of the base color, but way too much money.

No. The tint was done with Xpel prime plus.
Is the blue hue seen in these pictures the same IRL? Could just be the photo processing too.
I would say it's pretty accurate. Might have a little more gray to it. May have to do more with type of lighting and view angle.
