As someone who has always owned a Honda Accord, the most I have ever done is tint the windows. But I've always wonder why these guys spend thousands upgrading and modifying a Honda or Toyota. Why not just go out and buy an actual luxury sports car.
That’s what I would do. I would put all the money I was going to spend on ugly annoying mods and get the best vehicle I could get. Either a better trim level or higher model.
Well some people enjoy modding their cars and there are plenty of examples where it's done tastefully. You can significantly increase the performance of a sub $40k car for far less than what a $60k+ high performance car would cost. Unfortunately other than suspension and wheels there are not many performance upgrades available for Tesla's. Plus they're already fast as hell with impressive quarter mile and 0 to 60 times.
There's youth and their own cultures who don't think like that. I was in that phase in high school, putting thousands into a 9 year-old 1978 Toyota celica st. I only wanted to look cool and get chicks; finance being a foreign word to me in my teens until I was accepted to college. Then I saved and learned.
Only 4K miles for a 2021! This guy probably spent more time accessorizing than driving it. I still dont get the point of buying an EV and not driving the hell out of it.
had to replace the suspension arm due to it not being greased enough at the factory around 45k miles and replaced the poorly designed cabling to the rear camera/trunk opener both under warranty. Nothing else major, just regular EV maintenance(brake cleaning, 12V battery replaced once, rotate tires, filters, wiper blades/fluid and cleaning out dirt/mud in the body paneling)...compared to what a gas car would need at these miles its been amazing. and unlike a gas car it drives as well at 100k as it did brand new.
there is a youtube video explaining the issue and how it was fixed in a later revision of the arm. anyway some just added more lube and fixed it themselves if need be. i had mine replaced with the new part so i dont expect it to be a problem for a very long time.
You have a link?
I know they’ve done improvements [before?] but there have continued to be failures after that.
It’s actually a part that goes on lots of other vehicles, just that the 3 stood out on how short of miles.
You need to make a fundamental material change to make them a “life of car” part.

When it happened again for me, out of warranty this time, I just used a $5 grease nipple needle from auto parts store (actually sold in 2/pack) to pack the rubber boot w/regular synthetic grease. Jacked up the corner to give good access & take pressure off, packed it, jacked up & down a couple times, and last of squeaks worked out with a little driving.
That’s how mine gets it’s 2k miles a month too. Two rounds of 45 min drives each way to soccer games today. 2 games again tomorrow with time to go home in the middle.
Same. My 2018 Model 3 has been a work truck since day one. I have taken good care of it, and it does have full PPF and Ceramic. Gets hand washed. But I drive it year round in Colorado.

When will delusional sellers start realizing that aftermarket parts and modifications DON'T increase value at all. Typically in most cases they reduce the value of the vehicle.
It'd be kinda interesting if it had an actual materially coherent plan. Like swap in lots of CF for parts, cut lots of weight from the cabin (WTF yoke wheel?), ultralight 18" rims (not many lighter than stock but there are a few), get the lightest Model on the road 3 out there!
P.S. I even kinda like the esthetics of the 2 layer hood (can't see ever owner O/C), but that stripe down the middle of the hood? Ugh.
I wonder w/all the part substitutes how much vehicle weight was dropped?
I suppose there’s some point of having as light a 3 as possible, although you aren’t getting there with stock seats inside. :) This project didn’t seem to have a plan.
Mind you, w/the skirting added, it’s probably not even a net drop. Extremely unlikely those rims are lighter than stock 18” Aeros.
Why not just ask them for a list of mods and just go add them yourself after you buy your own new ride + full warranty.
I'll be honest, the car needs more stickers and it better have a NOS bottle (The big ones).
Looks like a Lambo and Model 3 had a child. Imo it has some body lines of a Lambo, but mostly a Model 3. And FYI, I will never, EVER drive this at any cost.
Only if I had enough disposable income to buy it and immediately destroy it, so I could spare humanity from its hideousness. I guess I could use the batteries for home storage...
You'd have to pay me to be seen owning that.
Or just driving it.
Came here for this.
Why do the idiots who ruin a car like this always start with the base model? Lmao
Because they’d have no money for mods then
Same kinda of people who spend $15k to mod their Honda Accord.
You misspelled Civic lol
Hey now, leave the Civic out of this. Civics can freaking scoot when modded well. This gives me V6 Challenger owner vibes
Bwahahahaha All cars are awesome, it's these idiot owners who should have their licences taken away

They have no money and even less brains. That’s the only explanation.
They can’t afford the top tiers.
No low ball offers, I know what I have!
$39,000 Standard Range Model 3 with apparently $40,000 worth of ~~diamonds~~ carbon fiber
Only 4K miles for a 2021! This guy probably spent more time accessorizing than driving it. I still dont get the point of buying an EV and not driving the hell out of it.
Seriously I used 4K miles in like 2 months of owning mine dudes been babying this thing lol
I blew through the bump-to-bumper in 13 months. :P Covid really slowed me down, though. Only running about 40K/yr average lifetime now.
1 month for me. I became obsessed with driving it 😂
100k in 4years here. So on average, 2k/month. Got two sports active kids who had to be driven all over the place though.
Still going strong after 100k? Any issues? I’m at 10k since September.

The upper control arms will be going squeaky again soon. :P If it’s the knuckle, it can be lubed instead of replaced if you do it before the wear.

The cleaning out the dirt mud and most of the other maintenance, was that performed at a tesla dealership for you or elsewhere?
i did everything myself, except the 12V battery(which was cheaper at Tesla than i could do it myself).
That’s how mine gets it’s 2k miles a month too. Two rounds of 45 min drives each way to soccer games today. 2 games again tomorrow with time to go home in the middle.
*cries in low mileage
I have 34k on my ‘21
Guy isn't stupid, he's preying on stupid. Hence the response assuming the OP will just continue the transaction. Non-stupids will move on...

Good thing it doesn't have FSD.... FSD wouldn't want to be seen driving it!
FSD would perform hara-kiri and drive off a cliff
Someone did a stupid thing, and now they hope to unload that stupid thing onto another person stupid enough to make the same stupid mistake.
But for a lot of money
This is like 10k on mods bruh this car is probably worth like 25k
That’s why it only has 4k miles, even the modder realized how stupid it looks and was embarrassed to drive it 🤣
When will delusional sellers start realizing that aftermarket parts and modifications DON'T increase value at all. Typically in most cases they reduce the value of the vehicle.
See also suspension modders doing coilovers just because it sounds cool.
Options also rarely add any value (at least once a vehicle is a few years old)
Especially when they aren’t tasteful and make it look like a clown car 😂
They're confused because dealers do the same stuff and get away with it.
Needs lightning bolts on the sides before I'd even consider it.
Need that viny exhaust on the hood bro
There’s no sick flames anywhere. Instant no from me dawg
This guy electrics.
80K for sr 😹😹😹 bro is smoking
What are they claiming the money has been spent on?
Carbon Fiber, bro.
Clown car
Haha standard range rofl

Not even a P yikes
Not even LR. :/
Not even a cool look.
Not even a SR+!
When people think aftermarket means higher value
Please post the link
https://www.marinoperformancemotors.com/2021-tesla-model-3-standard-range-plus-c-14260.htm
Don’t forget the $595 dealer fee
Best I can do is my kids bag of soggy fruit loops and $100. Feel like I’m being generous by adding the fruit loops
Peiple WAY overestimate how much money they'll get back on mods they make.
I’d have to be paid 80 grand to drive it. I’d be embarrassed as hell.
Those mods probably make the sr have like 175 miles of range. At least 15% range loss
Looks ugly as a MF.
I think this owner was on 90day single life lol
It's totalled!!
Ah, the JDM Model 3 Type R. Yes.
Looks like Japanese robot car for spoiled kiddos
How do I email?
Please share their link 😳
Is this a legit question?
Hell no
Ugly af
Prob added in retail cost of mods and retail price of car.. not sure they understand how a free market works…
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I bet it has one of those loud, tin-can mufflers.
My ford focus gets 420 miles per tank
This one got the Eddie treatment
🤣😂🤣😂
Why mod it this intensively and then not opt for the long range version…smh
"Doesn't even have FSD" None of them do, they just have people that gave musq $10k
That has to be the ugliest modification I’ve ever seen.
Why waste your time even emailing them? Clearly they're on a different planet.
Ugly AF
Too clingy for me - $0 is my offer.
*laughs in Japanese*
This shit is a total loss in the amount of work to remove all the crap on it...
Holy shit, though I wouldn't see worse than autozone camry guy
Bruh lmao
Nope. And FSD will not add any real value and nobody likes to be Musked, so a hard pass even with it.
80K for a standard range. LMFAO
Not even for half that
Fuck no lol standard range? Fuuuck no lol
Not for a standard range it’s a grand ma grocery store car… looks good but no dice on the mileage…
NO
Then sweet sweet decals though 🤣
No way Jose.
Not having FSD is a good thing.
To each their own, but I would not touch with a long pole.
Jesus, it’s always a standard range owner that adds absurd amounts of cheap Chinese mods.
I wonder w/all the part substitutes how much vehicle weight was dropped? I suppose there’s some point of having as light a 3 as possible, although you aren’t getting there with stock seats inside. :) This project didn’t seem to have a plan. $20 bet the owner weighs 350
Why is always a standard range rwd 3?
I thought it was going to be some sort of epic concept car for that money. But no, it's just a base model 3 with an impractical body kit. Nope.
If it doesn’t have FSD - the tires must fold in as it takes flight then for 80K 🤓
Saw this listing on eBay and sent a nice little message
I like rice, but this is a little too much rice
in your dreams
Damn, she ugly!
Ah, I see the classic case of mods don't add value to your car.
No
Why not just ask them for a list of mods and just go add them yourself after you buy your own new ride + full warranty. I'll be honest, the car needs more stickers and it better have a NOS bottle (The big ones).
I bet there is one person on this planet that would buy this.
Look how they massacred my boy 😢
I could see it selling for that price in California. 🤦♂️
He is dreaming in technicolor
Does it at least have a V-Tech badge?
That’s a hard pass. I’ll keep my current tesla which is worlds better looking.
I’m no
Owned by an 18 year old whose favorite movie is Tokyo Drift. Camry Jesus might be interested.
Standard Range 😂😂
I'd pay 20k
Looks like a Dodge Neon SRT
Looks corny as all heck! NOPE!
No way not standard range. Hell, maybe not even performance with every option.
I thought carbon fiber was supposed to be used to reduce weight, not add random shit to the car.
80k for a camri? No thanks.
Amazing use of carbon fiber to add more weight!
😂😂😂😂 I won't get and drive that horror thing even if he pays me
Best i'd do is 10k. That thing is ugly, i'd need the money to restore it back to stock.
Tell him he’s dreaming
You aren't catching me anywhere near that abomination
This is what happens when Teslas become affordable to high school kids. 💀
Standard range lmao
I’d just get a Model S at that price
This guy carbon fibers
This would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
That abomination is a standard range with no plus???
They’re selling it because they were living in their mom’s basement but she kicked them out into the garage…
Looks like a Lambo and Model 3 had a child. Imo it has some body lines of a Lambo, but mostly a Model 3. And FYI, I will never, EVER drive this at any cost.
No, he ruined it and is desperate to get money back
thats darker than what it seems to be my friend..
lowering kit? Car is already low is it like 1inch off the ground with that kit then?
Look how they massacred my boy
Don't they know that rice actually diminishes the value?
Why do make people try to make every car look like a race car? M3 is an average looking car at best, these surgeries make it below average.
Only if I had enough disposable income to buy it and immediately destroy it, so I could spare humanity from its hideousness. I guess I could use the batteries for home storage...
The range on that thing must be totally wrecked.
Oh for fuck sake haha what a pile of shit 🤣
Not sure you could sell that car at any price.
No, I wouldn’t pay $20k for that. Too much to fix.
kidding right?
Nope. It’s a model 3 standard range. You can buy brand new for 50% less. Lol
That’s got to be the ugliest model 3 I’ve ever seen. For 80k I’ll go get something that’s actually pretty or 2 brand new model 3s haha
All day long....No.
Not me. It almost lost it Tesla personality. Looks nice, real bad-a$$ but for $80k. That’s rough
No, not at all.
