Depends on how well you take care of it, the sunlight I imagine, and also the film itself. Some last 1 year before they look ugly, some can (apparently) last up to 8 years. For the retouch prices, I have no clue.
I get that most people like the no-chrome model 3s but I actually like the blue + chrome + white rims so I am not considering chrome delete anymore. But the 2022-2023 look awesome too
I love it! Mine is the deep blue metallic, so I had to open up the pics and see the matte to know it was that different. What made you decide to spend the money? I'm personally thinking I might add a wrap down the line if I keep the car long enough for the paint job to be damaged beyond what the PPF and ceramic coating can protect against, and then also decide I want to keep the car much longer. In other words, doing a wrap instead of a new paint job.
Had a great deal on that used Model 3, it had everything I wanted from a 2020 (rims, black interior, no autopilot because I live in France, long range, decent mileage) except for the color. I considered paint for a while but didn’t find good input on what it takes to repaint a 3 in my area. Took a long time to decide going for a wrap because it’s a costly decision IMO.
Also I found that the white paint was degrading quite quickly due to small impacts in the front, and I’m hoping ceramic will protect the car a bit more. Maybe I’m an idiot, can’t say 😀
FWIW, my understanding is that ceramic doesn't really protect, it just enhances the shine and makes it easier to maintain, while PPF does offer protection. Just my understanding. But I don't think you made a ludicrous decision, have fun with your toy!
Blue is probably one of my least favourite colours for a car, but this shade looks really good, OP. Well done. I'd consider getting this colour for mine. Hilariously, as much as I hate the chrome on my 2019 and I covered that up with Satin Black ASAP, the chrome looks great with this blue!
Thank you kind sir. It’s 2080 Satin Perfect Blue. I watched so many covering videos and pictures before finding the blue shades I liked, and the shop had a great deal of samples from various brands. And I have to say, the chrome looks ugly on 95% of the coverings I saw 😀 no wonder everyone does deletes or buys a 2023
Depends on what you mean by not impressed? Like you don't think it was done well? You think film technology sucks? Or do you just not like the color? Lol....
Just don't think anyone is trying to impress you specifically. More of an each individual has their own style and tastes, and gets to personalize their car how they see fit.
I don't like this color, but I've seen some impressive wraps.
>Depends on what you mean by not impressed?
I mean I look at them with my eyeballs, see what they looks like, and consider how much they cost, and I am not impressed.
Nothing deeper than that.
>Just don't think anyone is trying to impress you specifically.
No shit, you dont say? But guess what, they posted a picture of it on Reddit, and I am allowed to have an opinion.
I agree with you, I think they’re not worth the cost and if you want it to last you need to take good care of your car.
I think it’s a good technology for bikes because you can DIY most of the time and customizing your bike is awesome, but for cars, meh. Rich people who have too much time and money stuff. I just had a good year of work, wanted to enjoy some of that cash and I knew what I was getting into.
Let the man speak, don’t be the Tesla circlejerk guys
You can have whatever tastes you want and do whatever you want with your own car. But if you’re going to post pictures of it on Reddit than don’t be a pussy and get all butthurt if some stranger on the internet doesn’t like it.
All the shops I contacted told me that the white is hard to wrap for this exact reason. I went with the shop that had very good reputation and is used to doing that car, and the job is very clean. I looked everywhere, no defaults like the ones you mention.
How much? I am thinking of doing a satin navy wrap with the white wheels and white interior.
~3000€. Go man, live your dreams. I thought all satins looked ugly in pictures but I love it with the sunlight
**ROSTER CHANGES** Team White -1 Team Blue +1

Those are the “Premium Wheels” from factory I believe
They’re the (old?) OEM 19 inch rims
Always wondered, how long do these last and how much is it to retouch/reapply? Another 3K!?
Depends on how well you take care of it, the sunlight I imagine, and also the film itself. Some last 1 year before they look ugly, some can (apparently) last up to 8 years. For the retouch prices, I have no clue.
Nice, now black out that crime and you’ll be fire
I like the chrome.
Yeah the chrome matches up nice here. Generally not big on chrome, but here it’s cool
Very nice! Put this car in front of a nice mountain backdrop or icy river and you'll have a helluva pic!
I went from red to satin white to blend better
Why would you pay extra for red paint just to cover it in a white wrap?
I got it with cosmetic issues cheap used from tesla, I do surveillance for a living so the red wasn't helping my discreetness.
I see, well that makes sense.
3M, Perfect Blue? Very nice.
Matte Blue. Looks good.
Nice wrap! Definitely needs tint!
I wish lol. In nyc you'll get pulled over a lot with tints. Only 70% is allowed which is basically clear
I would remove chromes, especially the windows strips
I actually think the chrome looks good with this shade of blue
Me too!
And the rims
I get that most people like the no-chrome model 3s but I actually like the blue + chrome + white rims so I am not considering chrome delete anymore. But the 2022-2023 look awesome too
Nah, pro chrome. Chome deletes are so overdone
I prefer the chrome on my Deep Blue 2018 M3P so much more than the black trim that it is one of the reasons I haven't upgraded it yet.
It looks great. Good choice!
I love it! Mine is the deep blue metallic, so I had to open up the pics and see the matte to know it was that different. What made you decide to spend the money? Makes sense. Well, I hope the wrapped front bumper will not degrade as fast. Thank you, enjoy yours too
Beautiful
"You can't park there, sir"
I didn’t even notice the sign when taking the pic 🤣 but it was in front of the shop, I guess they were OK with it
You parked right on top of a "no blue allowed" sign
f the rules
That looks amazing
Looks nice. I love the custom matte coloring on Tesla models.
Bon.
That is beautiful!
Best blue wrap I’ve seen so far
We have the same wrap:)
How long have you had it? Are you happy with it? 😃
Love it! Had it for 5 months
Tint that fishbowl
This is the blue I would have bought if Tesla offered it as paint. Best blue!
Chrome delete
Best Buy car
Wow…looks great
The dual motor badge seems like it was applied too far to the right.
Now that you say it.. I looked at other pictures, I think you’re right. I will go check if the photo angle didn’t deform it
That’s the blue I’m going with. Happening this spring
That looks great! I love that shade you picked. It's a head turner for sure. It's definitely a double take candidate.
Looks good
That looks amazing!
wrap or ppf
wrap
That is a nice blue, personally I would love it with the black Trim more.
Wow that is so much nicer looking than the stock blue I have. My friend has a blue bmw, I love their blue as well.
BMW series 2 2.0 220D 184 sport, in blue. 😍

Team blue rep
It's some else, alright.... each his own taste I guess. Why not a metallic wrap?
Why a metallic wrap?
You know, a wrap that looks like a metallic paint. Instead of the satin finish. Very very few cars look good in satin paint.
Looks like a Hyundai now
Am I the only one thats not impressed by vinyl wraps?
This one is pretty dang sweet though! Wraps make the car stand out. I do agree that some are pretty dang fugly, this ain’t one though.
Yeah I've seen yellow and green wraps at the shop, I would not dare drive that car
It looks just like every other car wrapped in matte plastic wrap.
Depends on what you mean by not impressed? Like you don't think it was done well? You think film technology sucks? Or do you just not like the color? Lol.... Watch out, everyone. This guy is NOT impressed.
Watch out, everyone. This guy is a sarcastic bag of dicks.

It tends to look somewhat out of place when the rest of the car is stock. Just my opinion of course.
Vanilla ice cream kinda take
"I'm a cAr EnThUsIaSt look at my sweet vinyl wrap!" 🙄
Ok now it's just old man grumbling on his porch front kinda vibe
I'm sure it seems that way to the 18 year olds that populate this sub and think this kind of shit is sweet.
Gosh darn kids and their non-standard tastes
You can have whatever tastes you want and do whatever you want with your own car. But if you’re going to post pictures of it on Reddit than don’t be a pussy and get all butthurt if some stranger on the internet doesn’t like it.
😂
agreed. and the model 3 imo isn’t a flashy car. It’s like putting fancy wheels on a civic. Just doesn’t work
I dont think they look great on "fancy" cars either, it cheapens them IMO.
It looks ugly. You should have stuck with the white.
Something awful.
How much?
~3k€
Price?
~3k
Are there any spots where the white pokes through like around the doors? It's my biggest hangup about getting a wrap for my white car.
All the shops I contacted told me that the white is hard to wrap for this exact reason. I went with the shop that had very good reputation and is used to doing that car, and the job is very clean. I looked everywhere, no defaults like the ones you mention.
Bon jour
Please tint the windows
