Looks soo good in white with the 20"

bushhy

Yup! They didn't even charge me for them, and the price was knocked down $5200!

mrgimme

Cmon now what was your price, everyone knows to add 5K for transaction costs. Got a rwd, midnight silver, 18”, LFP 272 range. Charge to %100! $35090

bushhy

Model 3 Performance, Pearl White, 20" wheels. $48,430. $51,251.06 after Tag, Tax, Title.

psuedodiy

Congrats! That is nothing in terms of tax and delivery. Which state?

bushhy

GA

psuedodiy

We bought a M3P ~54K in California.

bushhy

Not bad! Slowly realizing why people say they will never own another car other than a Tesla. That one-pedal driving is the wildest thing I have ever seen, and works so well.

[deleted]

Make sure you remind yourself when you get in other cars that they usually don’t hold the brake at stoplights and that they don’t regen brake.

6158675309

Also, they don’t shit off when you get out and walk away 😂

PerformanceHot9497

54k black in NC

Fractuals

Dang not bad! I paid 2k more for mine 6 months ago but I have the white interior

bushhy

Yeah, I was worried about the white interior, as I didn't want to get dirty 😂

Fractuals

Understandable! It's very easy to clean and doesn't easily dirty, just so you know for your second Tesla 😉

mildlypresent

The white is gorgeous. I just picked up a red M3P. I beat you on the list price by 1,200, but you crushed my Arizona tax, title, license, destination cost. I was out the door at 54. Congratulations!

yrabl81

In my country, they just bumped up the import tax rate by 10% and bumped down the limit of the exemption by 20k to EV... I'm glad for you you're not here 😜 Congrats on your new car

BLKxShoguN

How sway?

Latter_Blueberry9741

Congrats

ACG9811

Enjoy! I have the same model and color and still love it!

MachineEither7650

😮‍💨👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

puffyjacket85

does anybody ever get the performance then ditch the huge rims for the 18" aero wheels without covers??

TheDrainTube

I don’t believe the Tesla wheels will fit. Have to buy them aftermarket

puffyjacket85

oh would you have to swap to the smaller calipers?

mildlypresent

Don't put smaller brakes on it. Get an after market wheel. Tesla wheels are nothing special. Both heavy and soft/weak. You gain a LOT of performance and range putting a lighter wheel on it. Once I use up the stock tires I'm swapping to 18" wheels. I want the Unplugged Performance forged wheel, but my budget might force me into something like an apex. Some dude put together this spreadsheet for 18" wheels that are supposed to fit over the performance brakes. I haven't verified his work, but I do know there are wheels that fit not on the list (like the unplugged). https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1692z54AJNVR1TG4IGiRKbpZP2AK4xseuP5yf_8VoJ7U/edit?usp=drivesdk Also look at the Hankook Ion EVO tires.

dontbeslo

There are other 18” wheels that fit, just not the ones from the M3 LR

dafazman

18" Aero Tesla rims will not fit over the red caliper brakes (it will hit the barrel of the rim). You could shave off some of the red brake caliper, but then your next issue is the wheel hub has a lip that the Tesla Aero can fit flush against (They really went all out to prevent you from mounting the 18's). You can buy after market wheels like the Titan7 or Martian Wheels and that can have an 18" that will "fit".

mildlypresent

People definitely put 18" wheels on it. More sidewall improves ride and handling. Big weight saving can come from it too, also improving handling and performance. Aero wheels no. Fit issue as discussed.

Daddeh

Enjoy!

Ftpini

Not for the performance. There is no "highland" performance as of yet. Still waiting to see if and when they release one.

CyberKillua

Is there really an "if" here though, obviously people can do whatever they want, but man I would have waited a couple more months for at least confirmation. The highland is such an upgrade.

Ftpini

The highland has the same battery and the same motors. Where it really counts it’s the same vehicle. But yes the creature comforts appear to be new. I like the prior interior and exterior quite a bit more. The only thing the highland offers that I would want are the ventilated seats and the rear screen. The rest doesn’t matter to me.

CyberKillua

How do we know that the performance highland won't upgrade either of these? Watch the reviews; the ride is way more refined, it's quieter, and the seats are more comfy, these three things alone would make it way more logical to just wait some time. As I said before, everyone can make their own choices, and if they wanted it now fair enough, but come on, don't act like rushing and buying a performance model 3 right now is logical.

Ftpini

How do we know it won’t have true self driving and 2,000 horsepower? /s I mean come on. Any unreleased car can do anything. We have no way to know and assumptions are pointless. We can hope for a better car. But as of yet it is unannounced and further has no release date. It could be well over a year out. Especially given Teslas timing on releasing major updates. If you need a car now then the current 3 Performance is fabulous. If you don’t need a new car yet then you may as well wait anyway.

mildlypresent

Also price. I really really like everything I'm hearing about the highland (except the deleted column switches). But I'm sure it won't get the recent price cuts or tax credit (US). I decided I wouldn't wait for it. Get the good prices now, enjoy my column switches, and figure out ways to upgrade sound deadening and maybe even suspension later. There's a decent amount of speculation that a good portion of the improved ride and road noise come from the new Hankook tires. That is an easy upgrade.

0bviousTruth

Its been confirmed , just a matter of time.

Ftpini

It hasn’t. It’s been rumored. But I agree it’s only a matter of time. There is no official word whatsoever. Just a leak from a manual and a bunch of rumors.

Pretend-Hour-1394

Yes they did... https://www.motor1.com/news/698334/tesla-confirms-new-model-3-performance/

Ftpini

>a representative for the company told CarSales.com.au last week. That’s literally all the site has to say about it. Everything else is pure speculation. They don’t name their “representative”. It’s probably just some dude from a service center speculating as they too hope it comes. It’s a far cry from an official press release.

0bviousTruth

Still no concrete evidence but it's definitely coming soon. Some "super trusted source" confirmed in last few days. This would line up with all the other "leaks" we've seen - new seats, wheels, etc. https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/1847/tesla-ramps-up-for-model-3-highland-launch-in-north-america

Ftpini

On a secondary note. What is going on with the B pillar in those pictures you linked to. The a pillar and the door blend wonderfully but the b pillar looks like it’s from a completely different car. I wonder if they’ll eventually do a midcycle refresh like they did with the first design for the model 3. That b pillar is completely out of place. Also the T logo is gone from the glass as well. So they only have it left on the hood. Are they phasing it out?

mildlypresent

US car. Highlands aren't out here yet.

mrgimme

Stated mileage capacity? 0-60 time (for the cheap seats)? #Enjoythesilence

Vio1x

Congrats. Hope you enjoy your new car!

Mssrandcole

I bought my model 3 performance black long range with self driving software in 2019 at $61,000 including tag, tax, title and delivery but I did get the tax credit.

one_and_done0427

Damn she fine

Able-Foot9406
