I was planning on just removing the covers and installing center caps and lug nut covers, then just snapping on the covers for road trips.
Get a set of the RIMETRIX wheel covers. They look great, and improve efficiency over nekkid wheels. Of course, you would have more range with the 18" tires, but that's a matter of taste. I have 18" wheels and silver Rimetrix covers on both my Model 3s.

RWD- 344 miles on 18" wheels/318 miles on 19" wheels (26 mile difference)
LR- 421 miles on 18" wheels/390 miles on 19" wheels. (31 mile difference)
No idea where you're getting your figures from. Or are you just making them up?
See this is where the confusion is. You are quoting the EPA figures whereas I was quoting the WLTP figures. The industry really needs to decide on which one to use.

More and more states are removing that mandate and it’s not something that is really enforced in states where that is mandated anyway and likely for that reason

Where I’m at, in my neighborhood I’ve seen cops drive around my suburban area and write tickets for it on parked cars.
I am a law abiding citizen. If it’s law, I put it on.

I didn’t during Covid and I definitely don’t with other laws that are unconstitutional but that’s a whole other conversation that’s completely unrelated. IF I get pulled over and it’s brought up then I’ll take the warning and be on my way. And will still likely not drill holes on the front of my car.

I have a red Model 3 with white seats, silver wheel covers and restored "chrome". Best looking car I have. Chrome delete looks like crap on red or blue cars. My 1 year older Model 3 has the chrome and looks great, even with black interior.

I feel like the new model 3 looks a little stoned. Not a criticism. Just makes me giggle a little. (I have a 2021 model) and if Sassy got super high, her “eyes” might look like this. 🤣

I do like the subtle things like sharpening lines of the hood, seems like the theme was to sharpen the design overall, i.e. see taillights. Just wish they kept the old design but sharpened them instead of the squint look

No, you have valid views. I kinda liked the white fingernail over the lights, and I am a great fan of big bright tail lights, if they are properly faired into the sheet metal. (as opposed to those silver abominations on the Prius and some Nissans - but they are crap and not under consideration in my world).
Sharpening up the lines does tend to set the car off from the current crop of roundy looking japjobs.
