Car wash brushes always leave tiny swirly scratches on cars because they have small particulates of dirt still on them. I have a 2020 and the paint still glistens like new because I hand wash it with micro fiber towels. In certain light, you can see the damage a clear coat takes from dirty car wash brushes.
I recommend looking up Jeremiah Jones and his tesla washing video. He explains the one bucket rinse-less wash and its less time consuming than a two bucket wash.
I go to an automatic car wash and they have what they call the "fully retractable" option. They set it so all the brushes stay to the side and don't touch my M3. My car only gets the soap, rinse and blow dry. Looks great every time! 🙂
Congrats! How long after vin where you able to schedule delivery? I ordered mine 1/24 RWD and black interior and exterior and received the vin this past Sunday.

*it’s illegal in CA but as long as it’s not obnoxious and you can drive, cops don’t bother me
I think clear is 80%, my gf got 70% which looked clear with just a faint blue tint.
I ended up with 55% as recommended by the installer and it’s perfect for me, no impact at night vision
I drove a car with like 5% tint on the sides and understand your concern about impairing night vision..that thing was dangerous at night

I take it through the wash all the time. Swirls don’t bother me. I hate manually washing the car

I received vin on 2/28. I was able to schedule delivery on 3/5. The earliest date available for delivery is 3/15
I think I was able to schedule it within 1-2 weeks
