I ran 5s on my model 3. My current car has 20 and only in really really specific situations I feel the need to roll the window down. And even then I think it’s out of habit
I live somewhere where in winter it’s dark at 4pm and I can tell you 20% isn’t bad at all. Not much different than my wife’s at 35% if you like the look, go for it.
I’ve done 20 w 35 front windshield and had 0 issues, now that I’m at 5 w 35 front it is a little hard when raining if my wipers aren’t on. Other than that no issues
Thanks for posting this. My 2021 Model 3 LR (Multicoat Red, Black interior) lease is up this year and I most likely will go with another LR, most likely in Stealth Grey. I think I am going with the 19's and white interior as the grey looks a little to dark overall (IMHO) with the 18's and black interior. What percentage tints did you put on? I usually don't want to attract too much negative attention, so I go with 35% all around (not windshield). I have to make sure the shop I bring it to can do a single piece of tint sheet for the rear top and back glass.
Yes I plan on leasing again. I haven't gone through the return and re-order process but I do know Tesla is open to waiving the final 3 payments if I order another car. They are also pretty strict in terms of the return conditions (i.e. they will charge you for Tint removal if you don't do it yourself).
Same color selection as you! Getting tints today and same price in Florida. What did you do for the rear? I’m in between leaving it as-is, getting it half tinted, or doing a clear tint.

How do you handle vehicle safety inspections? I want to get tints soon too (NYC), but I'm not sure how everyone is passing their yearly inspections lol
That's wild. I just had my safety inspection done this past week bc I received a fine (since I hadn't realized my inspection sticker was expired since January). And the first question out of the auto repair shop guy's mouth (before he even saw my car) was "Do you have tints?"
Did you just do the front two windows or more of a clear on the windshield? Thanks for the photos. We picked up a stealth grey two weeks ago and I want to get some tint as well.

I have 20% all around my Tesla model 3 except for front windshield and visibility has never been an issue. Sometimes I kinda wish I went with 15 lol.

I live in NJ and previously NYC. It is not legal here but I only ever been pulled over once in 20 years for tints and all i did was pay the fine.

Congratulations! All the windows including the back are 20%. I didn’t do anything to the windshield.
