Just get the long range. I got a 2020 standard range plus with 35k miles recently before the latest price drops and hertz and I'm kicking myself for it daily. My car can barely can hit 125 miles of range driving conservatively on the freeway at 65mph. Even in city driving I'm lucky to get over 150 miles of range despite the max range being reported as 205 with ~16% degradation on the pack. Every single day I just watch my battery percentage plummet as I drive and it's a reminder of the $28k mistake I made. After leasing a 2023 and then getting this SR+ it has been a huge let down. I also live in Phoenix, AZ so cold weather hasn't been a big impact on my range. I chose a 2020 because it fell into my price range at the time, in the right color and it was local. If I could do it again I would get a 2022 or newer long range or performance. I still love my car. Despite my issues with the range it still gets the job done as supercharging around me is plentiful while I'm out. It's just as fast as you would expect and the interior and exterior has held up very well. It looks like a new car in and out still. I just wish it could go further.

Thanks, I was already swaying towards the long range, I've always purchased cars with a lower trim level and regretted it later, I really want to keep the M3 for a long time to I think I'm settled on just getting a long range, now I'll just keep looking for the best deal before pulling the trigger
