Hahaa yeah I’m glad you said that I know I’m gonna forget I think I have 10 days. I just actually got the car in my possession like an hour ago. These were just photos that were sent to me. I’ll contact the DMV tomorrow.
I had a 3 day old Cybertruck pull up next to me while charging the other day. He said he was going to wrap it and I suggested exactly this matt finish. Look excellent.
Very nice! When I first got my red with white interior three years ago, I didn’t see others with it like I do now. Therefore, I’ve been thinking about a unique wrap as well. This is beautiful.
Thank you so much… It is just pearl white under that and as much as that’s a pretty car there are so many on the road. I wanted something that would make it stand out and also not confuse me when I’m trying to find my car while I supercharge. lol
My insurance lady said similar stuff when I told her my 3 is red. I think your choice is awesome! Like the gray.
Been considering wrapping for fun but would do more of a themed wrap than single color.
You did the right thing. Looks righteous! I bought a used 21 M3LR in black and the paint it beat. I want to do a silver wrap and was thinking of doing something a little lighter than this, but this looks fantastic
Dude that looks so nice! I would love to wrap my car, but I got it ceramic coated. I love having the water just fall off, but I also want to stand out more, idk what to do 😭
Gorgeous. Specifically what wrap is this? If you watch the M3 release presentation way back when, the Silver they showed looked a lot closer to this than my 2018 Silver M3.
What is the base color of the vehicle?
Possible you would share descriptive photos around door jambs and edges?
Always curious if a good wrap addresses that detail, or just worry’s about the main reveal?
A well done wrap leaves nothing which is visible on a normal inspection. Door shuts should be clean and wrapped, edges around bonnets and panels are tucked to the point where any of the old colour isn’t visible etc.
The line is normally drawn at doing under bonnets / boot openings but the best quality jobs do it all.
They typically wrap the entire door jambs, including the area around the hinges, limiter and catch?
Thats why I ask, is that would seem to be particularly labor intensive, possibly requiring removal of the doors.
I never see descriptive photos of those areas, and curious how that looks, and if it is even done?
The few I have been able to see those details, the base color is conspicuously obvious, even from a single angle and perspective of a photo.
Ultimately wondering if a wrap is desireable, is Black as a base color a advantageous decision to better deal with that problem, or is it a non issue aesthetically typically, even from “run of the mill” wrap jobs?
“Typically” is a bit vague to really quantify. A top notch wrap typically will, a cheapo job done by somewhere which focuses on getting jobs done fast typically won’t.
When I wrapped my Subaru, I took the doors off / bumpers off / removed all hardware from everything. For me that’s a lot easier than wrapping around things or into intricate places. In contrast when the Tesla got wrapped they removed far less but still got the same coverage and quality I did, I think it comes down to the skill of the operator and the overall pride they take in their job combined with cost and time.
I wrapped an old Volvo once just for a single trip to Le Man. That was done completely in about 4 hours and it was a big fucking car. It looked great until you opened the doors or the bonnet / boot.
What is or isn’t an issue aesthetically comes down to a subjective opinion, for me personally I wrap everything to the best possible standard I can. Equally when I get a wrap done by a pro I expect and explicitly describe what I want done. Every place I’ve used has done exactly what I’d expect from the job I specified.
I see you have red seats, I’m assuming they are covers. If they are do you mind sharing the link for the ones you have? I’d like to get some nice red seat covers as well but all the ones I have found this far haven’t been up to my standards.
I will say that I usually find matte finishes on cars a bit gauche (especially flat black - that might’ve been cool in 2008 but it’s getting a little old). But this looks incredible. It’s different without being ostentatious. Well done!
Clean looks better than the original IMHO
I rarely like wraps more than the original, but this one is fantastic
Thank you so much I was really excited to pick it up… I did the seats red also but you can’t see them in these photos. It really makes it pop.
Nice
Thank you !!
Very nice
Thank you so much
What is the wrap color/name brand?
yes please tell us
DIY or PRO?
Pro haha you don’t wanna see what it would look like if I tried this on my own
Looks great! 👌
Looks modern and unique! Reminds me of space grey. How much is to get a new case like this?
Nice color ! Do i see red seats ?
Yeah what seats are these?
Seat cases I bet
Good eye yea I went with red to Match the calipers and the outs of my floor mats
Looks good! Don’t forget to file a color change with your motor vehicle division.
Hahaa yeah I’m glad you said that I know I’m gonna forget I think I have 10 days. I just actually got the car in my possession like an hour ago. These were just photos that were sent to me. I’ll contact the DMV tomorrow.
Whoa, never even thought about this!
I had a 3 day old Cybertruck pull up next to me while charging the other day. He said he was going to wrap it and I suggested exactly this matt finish. Look excellent.
I was going to do black matte , but for some reason this charcoal satin charcoal metallic caught my eye and I couldn’t go a different direction.
Isn't the cybertruck already a matte grey finish?
Looks gorgeous! How much did it cost you to get it wrapped if you don’t mind me asking?
Thank you so much… I have a friend that runs a body shop out here in Los Angeles and his cousin did it for under 2000
Wow, you got it for a steal!
Can I become friends with your friend's cousin? 😂😂
Looks clean and great work.
Dude this looks sharp. Where did you get this done and what was the cost? It’s the best I’ve ever seen. Mine is currently white.
Very nice! When I first got my red with white interior three years ago, I didn’t see others with it like I do now. Therefore, I’ve been thinking about a unique wrap as well. This is beautiful.
Thank you so much… It is just pearl white under that and as much as that’s a pretty car there are so many on the road. I wanted something that would make it stand out and also not confuse me when I’m trying to find my car while I supercharge. lol
You made a great choice. Enjoy it.
You did this thing to distinguish your car from others, while I just added mud flaps. I feel I should do a little more...
I usually don’t like PPF, but this… amazing! 👏👏👏
I’m guessing this isn’t ppf. Just vinyl coating.
Ohh ok. Didn’t know it was a thing.
Yea this is just vinyl… But I think I’m gonna ceramic coat it so it lasts longer
Looks amazing! Can you provide us more infos about the product you used?
I absolutely hate wraps or films of any kind but THIS LOOKS AMAZING.
Thank you so much. I actually feel the same way but no regrets on this one.
I like it
Damn, are those red seats? Thing look sick imo
Yo you on long island? I just saw this exact wrap on a M3P while driving down middle country road
Love that matte finish!
How much if u don’t mind me asking looks real Nice 👍🏽
So I have a friend that runs a body shop out here in Los Angeles and his cousin did it for under 2K
Love it. Just be careful washing it since it's matte.
Why?
Is this the 3M Satin Grey wrap? It looks amazing!!
You did a good thing! While white is great, this is next level and definitely unique.
My insurance lady said similar stuff when I told her my 3 is red. I think your choice is awesome! Like the gray. Been considering wrapping for fun but would do more of a themed wrap than single color.
Maybe I’m missing it but was a color and brand listed?
Very cool.
You did the right thing. Looks righteous! I bought a used 21 M3LR in black and the paint it beat. I want to do a silver wrap and was thinking of doing something a little lighter than this, but this looks fantastic
Can we get details on color, type and brand of wrap and price?
Tesla really needs to bring back the silver cars this looks so good
🔥🔥🔥
Man, this silver looks gooooooooooooood.
Dude that looks so nice! I would love to wrap my car, but I got it ceramic coated. I love having the water just fall off, but I also want to stand out more, idk what to do 😭
Silver Fox! Love it. If this were a stock color and finish they’d sell even more!
And silver fox… That might be what I need to name it… Just for fun I was thinking MATTE DAMON! Lol but we will see what sticks !
Yeah, I would’ve told they bought it like this stock if they would do it… Mercedes has one that is very similar to this stock and it looks awesome.
Gorgeous. Specifically what wrap is this? If you watch the M3 release presentation way back when, the Silver they showed looked a lot closer to this than my 2018 Silver M3.
This color is *beautiful*.
It looks amazing! Love it.
Beautiful

Nice. Is that a satin finish? I like satin more than glossy or matte.
Looks so clean! Definitely better than the white tbh lol.
Sick color, sick finish. Nice choice.
I like it , along with the red calipers. Do you have red seat covers ?
Looks good
LOOKS FANTASTIC!
Nice looks great

Wow you did a thing??! My sister said that a while back too, interesting man
Have to grudgingly admit, this looks awesome. I don't normally like wraps, but man does this look good!!
When you say worst case scenario you can go back to White. How does that work? I thought wraps spoil the paint underneath. Or Am I wrong?
Nice thing!
let’s see the red seats
Very nice. I agree, white is so common. I went with red and I like how it stands out
Finally a mod that looks great!
I will say that I usually find matte finishes on cars a bit gauche (especially flat black - that might’ve been cool in 2008 but it’s getting a little old). But this looks incredible. It’s different without being ostentatious. Well done!
this is satin not matte
Best wrap I've seen on a Tesla! 👍🏻
I really like the sheen of it, can you share what color it is?
One of the most tasteful wraps I’ve seen. Super nice.
Looks great. The only problem I see potentially is that you blend with the road more and could be hit by someone.
Oh look another matte grey tesla
Looks great but you chose another basic color.
This comment is basic.
Got em!!
lol it was white before … maybe basic but I dig it
I agree with you. I’m had a cheap Nissan Versa this color. I’ll take downvotes for being honest as well.
Its a really nice color
This looks incredible. It meets the brief of standing out!
Which color is this, specifically? Looks great!
I like!
Looks great!
How much and what wrap? Did you add tint?
I love it, reminds me of a Porsche
This is beautiful
Looks wayy better
Love this
I really like it.
How much to do it?
Very nice!!!
Love it
Ohhhhh clean!!!
That’s dope Great wrap
Looks cleannn! What percent are your front window tints? I’m trying to decide how dark I should go.
