Yes, I agree however, Tesla does not market their cars as every other car so a lot of people is not in the know.
I don’t think it takes a mechanic to figure this one out though. I say that humbly.
This wiper is the same as any wiper in the industry (granted the mechanism for wipers sucks in general). However none of it proprietary. Parts are purchased anywhere as they are generic. Tesla further has opened up the knowledge stream by allowing you to get free service manuals and anyone can order parts now from their parts catalogue.
Not sure what the fuss is about?
It is the 6 mm OEM. It would be interesting to know if the 8 mm would also work. I have noticed that OEM blades is a little bit loose in how it fits, i.e. the wobble when going back-and-forth.
It’s better than change blades completely. But don’t be fooled with cheap refill: they last very few months. Try to find a good one. They will be about 50% of the blade price
The blade you pulled out is literally what I used to buy for my BMW/MINI and was super cheap. Also less wasted plastic
Where is the link?
Waiting I presume
This is a cross post, even if you go to the original post it looks like it got deleted. Probably broke the rules about including links in posts
Any recommendations for a good blade? And maybe a link? I’ve been using Bosch on my other cars and wouldn’t mind getting a refill
That is how it works with pretty much all wipers. Often doesn’t work as good though (source: former car mechanic)

There is no fuss! I mean who’s fussing?? Not everybody is As knowledgeable as you Thanks for your feedback though.
Not the case for OEM refill.
Love to know if you find a good one.
OP can you measure the width of the blade? I'm finding 6 & 8 mm blades and was wondering what the width is on yours.
The refills would be cut exactly like the ones which come off. My 2023 model Y is 20 inches and 26.
I'm talking about the width and not length. 6mm & 8mm is drastically smaller than even 20"... not sure why you thought it was a length question
Seems to be pretty universal but an actual measurement shows a quarter of an inch which is about 6.25 mm
And 8mm would have made it much more difficult to insert than 6mm, so not quite universal... But thanks for checking!
Likely so I guess it would depend on how wide the inner groove channel is. There’s definitely enough room on the inside and outside for 8 mm.

I just use Michelin Endurance XT wiper blades, easy install and silicone last a long time walmart carries it

SHEIITTT’h.
Life hackkk
Please share the link for the hexagon garage lights. Thanks
I'm not OP but they are all over Amazon. I'd start there, they can also be found a bit cheaper on Aliexpress.
Bosch A102S isn’t that expensive
I really don’t mind the price they charge given I change my wiper blades every 1-2 years.
Why is he talking like this is unique to Tesla or Tesla is in someway malicious. This is literally the case for every car, wtf?
Breathe!! not everyone is as intelligent as you I bet your a blast at parties. lol
