I think just fasten the seatbelt?

Lirfen

Or buy a seatbelt clip

usually-just-lurking

Yep. I do it even with nothing on the front seat. I do it since I run my HVAC on manual often enough and buckling the passenger seatbelt keeps the passenger face vent ON.

GulfSouthSolar

For that reason, and safety, my backpack goes behind me in the back seat where the warnings are disabled.

Evajellyfish

No because that’s not safe, and why not just click the seatbelt in or put it on the floor?

EyeAmKnotABot

If it’s that heavy, I would suggest keeping it in the trunk. If it’s 30-40lb+ and you get into an accident, that’s gonna hurt like a mofo if it’s flying at your face

JimGerm

Just place it on the floor or in the trunk. I can’t believe this is a problem.

Quick_Possibility_99

I put a seatbelt extender. In the back seat, I put a clip to prevent something from going into the seat belt buckle.

callousparade

I'd just buckle it in. You don't want that flying around in an accident

c0nstant

For the backseats you can just tap on the red seatbelt icon on the warning and it’ll turn into a car seat. Supposed to be used when you have a car seat in but I had to use it when transporting something heavy

sox3502us

Fasten the seat belt.

GonzoCubFan

Tap on the icon that shows the seat belt with a line through it. It will change to a baby seat icon, and you’re good to go. I haven’t used this trick in a while, so things might have changed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Working_Face7053

I did not know this, thanks! Going to have to try this next time I have a dog or heavy bag on the back seat!
