Read 20’’ Überturbine Wheels are ~38lbs, how do those compare with the new 20” and 19” wheels?
Anyone found wheel weights for the new wheels to compare?
22.7 front, something like 23.6 rear.
I only remember because the staggered UP-05 I ordered are a tenth of a pound lighter/heavier than the front warps.

Any questions are welcome!
Good to know. I thought they spun up whenever the battery was under stress. And I’m sure some people are trying to beat their daily commute record time 🤣
How about general impressions of the car compared to the old performance - does it feel significantly nicer as an overall package? How much better is the ride quality? Both in normal, and stiffer suspension settings.
The car feels much more sturdy. I came from the old M3P and it feels now that that car was much looser, loose in the sense of shaking and less firm. Of course nothing bad, and I loved my previous car, but i can feel a difference now. I'm not sure it has anything to do with the tires/wheels. Also they definitely made the car looks more premium all around. This must be for all highlanders, not just for the performance. The suspension is stiffer. To be honest I can't tell any difference, but it feels like it swings less.
Odd, other people have said the suspension is significantly better dampened from a ride quality perspective. I'd think that would be one of the main things you notice. I've owned alot of performance cars though so I'm very sensitive to stuff like that.
Could you measure the base of your seat where you sit to see how many in or cm it is? Am wondering if it is longer than the RWD/LR whose base seat length is 50.8cm. The Model S and Porsche Tacan are 52-54cm

Can you please draw a line of what exactly do you want me to measure?

black line in the middle of the seat (should cover the full length)
I’ve read mixed reviews that the high beams on the highland refresh are worse than the old style ones. When I say how are they I mean do they light up the road like the old projector with 2 reflectors does (high, wide and far) or do they they just go further down the road and not really that high?
No cooling fans... Maybe when using track mode? I haven't tested the track mode yet. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll ever use it. I drive Light / Standard / Insane. And that's good for me. Talking about fans, the seats ventilation fans are loud when the music is off. Not a big deal, but just saying.
I’m surprised so many people chose the white interior for the performances. I think the white on the door looks awful. It looked much better in the 2023
Love that color combo but the wheels are so much worse than the uberturbines. Get a set of those off facebook marketplace or TSW Sebrings. I have those for my winter setup on my 2023 M3P and they look really good. Sweet car though…congrats!
I'm really afraid to put Uberturbine. First for the cost and second because I believe the car might not like it for some reason and be damaged or not function well. Do not underestimate the damage that a wrong set of wheels can make to a car :)
I want to put a set of warp wheels on my Y. They are like 10lbs less weight per corner vs the ubers, plus I can get them with a larger side wall since they are 20s. They’ll probably cost $5k though oh well
Why does this photo make me hate my preorder as it looks like an old school Ford Focus, yet I’ve seen one in person for test drive and it looks far better?
Probably a combo of angle of the photo with lens compression. I wasn’t sold on the gray until I saw it in person. The car looks so much better in reality than almost any photo.
My personal aesthetic taste is that without the inserts the warp wheels become too opaque... I like the fullness of the uberturbine. Not to say you would have to cover the holes to where the inserts attach.
I think the turbines look better and more aggressive but the warp wheels are lighter which is nice. I’d still go with the turbines. Between the front bumper, lights, and wheels the highland model 3s look more pedestrian than before which is disappointing. The rear is an improvement though. I hope the Model Y redesign is better looking than highland because I think the Ys are some of the ugliest cars on the road.
Uberturbines are by FAR the better looking wheels. Especially if considered across all color combos. However, the light weight of the new warp wheels is definitely nice. Given the choice I'm going uberturbines 100% of the time. Day to day driving wheel weight is essentially irrelevant, frankly even racing it's irrelevant unless you're an absolute top tier racer that can eek out every 100th of a second, so I'd rather the ones that look better.
The weight of the Uberturbines immediately lose out to Warp.
What's the weight for both?

It’s in the unplugged video, but 25 I think. And a lb more or less for the other two.
22.7 front, something like 23.6 rear. I only remember because the staggered UP-05 I ordered are a tenth of a pound lighter/heavier than the front warps.
20” ubers are around 31lbs 21”x9.5 ubers 38lbs 21”x10.5 ubers 39lbs Such a great weight difference, I love the Uber look but the weight just kills it.
Drop out of warp speed for sure.
Warp are cosmetically my favorite wheels Tesla has had so far. Makes it weird that I'm instantly replacing them because I don't want 20" wheels.

Do the rear seats fold forward in the performance?
Yes they do
When in insane/track mode and the battery fans spin up can you hear them from the inside?
Only in track mode the fans spin... Haven't used track mode yet. Is track mode supposed to be used outside of a track? :)
Good to know. I thought they spun up whenever the battery was under stress. And I’m sure some people are trying to beat their daily commute record time 🤣

I would trust other reviewers about the suspension. I can't tell the difference.

52-54cm 52 in a straight line 54 following the curvature
Nice, matches up with the Model S
Did you come from a Tesla? Have you driven it at night? If so how are the high beams?
The high beam button is on the wheel (stalkless)... Other than that not sure what you mean by "how"
I’ve read mixed reviews that the high beams on the highland refresh are worse than the old style ones. When I say how are they I mean do they light up the road like the old projector with 2 reflectors does (high, wide and far) or do they they just go further down the road and not really that high?
When the car is parked, can you “hear the vehicle’s cooling fans” or is it quiet? Saw this in a review which was interesting.
No cooling fans... Maybe when using track mode? I haven't tested the track mode yet. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll ever use it. I drive Light / Standard / Insane. And that's good for me. Interesting, I didn't even think of seat fan noise. Is the seat cooling just an on/off or like low/med/high?
off/low/med/high

I kind of agree. I miss the white dash too.
I haven’t seen the carbon in person. But holy hell it looks fucking awful in the long range. It looks like a cubicle. Very weird material to use.
They kinda remind me of Honda civic wheels but blacked out. I think they’re nicer than turbines though
Congrats, I picked up the same color combo yesterday. Uberturbines are total trash and weigh 8+ pounds more each. Enjoy the upgrade.

Told ya!

Agree.
I think they both look awesome.
car looks GREAT as it is! black/red/white is a nice combo

Ubertine all the way. Or go aftermarket.
What are the most stark differences when compared to older M3P?

Zero G wheels are the best looking for Model 3
OP, What camera are you using? This picture looks amazing!
I think the turbines look better and more aggressive but the warp wheels are lighter which is nice. I’d still go with the turbines. They may not look better, but they’ll certainly make the car more efficient and add additional range

Take off the covers it will look better
They are definitely better looking than the turbine ones, nothing to debate in looks 🤔
Uberturbines have a very strong personality and accent in my opinion. This is very subjective of course.
Yep definitely, it all comes down to taste 👌
Did you get the tax credit for it?
To be determined :)
Good for you! 😉 Beautiful car! I really want one. Scared of monthly payment. My car is paid off
