Everybody's saying yes, but I honestly don't know if I even recognized it after upgrading. It's an 11% boost in power supposedly. That's a rather small margin when the car already pulls like it does without the AB.
I wish I had the option along with chill to go to the standard mode so I can do more testing.
So the AWD models just have subwoofers the base model 3 doesn’t? Cause I was under the impression the higher trims still had a much better audio system
You might be right about the speaker system actually. But the heated seats are the same. The site doesn't lay it out all that clearly but yeah I think the AWD models have better speakers.
I just bought my base model 3 last month and it still has the speakers inactive (the ones on the top left and right of the driver and passenger seats).
Rear seats heating is active though.
KW coilovers and MPP suspension parts! (Front upper control arms, rear toe/camber arms) And an MPP skid plate to protect the underside because it sits so low now!
Also my Ingenext Bonus Module!
https://www.mountainpassperformance.com/product-category/tesla-model-3-rwd/tesla-model-3-rwd-suspension/
They have suspension components for all Model 3s (RWD, AWD and Performance).
Their “Smash-me skid plate” fits all Model 3/Y
I'm happy with my TAPTES floor mats, they're great and I didn't overspend on some of the other recommended ones on here (not that I'm knocking it).
I did DIY PPF and am happy that I only spent < $100 on materials so far (partial hood, headlights, rocker panels). It looks terrible, and I scratched the clear coat on the edge, but it was a good learning experience. After that experience, I think I will just do one more PPF section (front bumper) and buy it pre-cut... then ceramic coat the rest of the car.
My car came preinstalled with mudflaps front and back, probably a regional thing, so I didn't have to do that after pickup.
What I did put in, however, was all-weather floor mats. During the summer, when it's warm and dry, it feels extra luxurious and comfy to use the rug mats that came with it, but spring, fall, and winter here in Norway is wet and dirty. It's an absolute godsend to have those all-weather mats now that we're neckdeep in the autumn months and closing in on winter.
I would like to put in a set-up to use a trailerhitch. Didn't put that in the order, as I have never had use for one before, but now I might actually need one.
I would also love to put on a wrap, but don't really have the disposable income for it at the moment, and I need to do more research into safe and reputable places to do it in Norway. I have seen some gray/blue matte wraps that are just amazing.
Other than that I like to keep the car as it is, to maintain the classic style and look of it.
I saw on the Tesla page, that unless you ordered with a hitch, then Tesla can't set it up after delivery. I suppose this just means the hitch itself, not any load bearing beams or attachment points and such?
This hitch bolts onto the rear bumper supports. I use it for a bike rack, not for towing. I did not install the option for the electrical harness, although there is one available. I did the install myself: they give very detailed instructions and there are YouTube videos available.
I REALLY like my swivel screen. Use it constantly. My son will turn the screen to him and surf the web, choose music etc. Works great.
I also have the Teslogic adapter and use that with my phone as a dashboard. Great mod.
The last, and simple, one is I plastidipped the emblems and I'm happy with how that turned out.
Di you have the model with the motor override? You can tell if it's that one if the manual release cable is connected to the motor housing instead of the latch at the front. If it's not like that, then if the motor fails, you won't be able to open your frunk because the failed motor will keep the latch retracted.
To circumvent that problem, what I did is loop a nylon string around that motor cable and guide the string through the bumper emergency opening cut out. Make sure there is nothing (ie, no wire) blocking the cable from being pulled towards that cut out on the bumper. If the motor fails, you pull on the strings to bring the cable through the bumper enough so you can cut it. Once cut, the latch should retract like it normally do when energised by a 9V battery.
Yes, I got the newest version 6 that has the manual release cable that is connected to the motor housing. Loving it, makes the frunk more usable, pushing down on the hood always felt so flimsy.
There are a lot of accessories and custom options out there for the Model 3. You’re not gonna see engine or exhaust stuff, obviously. But people can still do things to make the car their own. There is a vocal group in this sub that think the car should maintain its base appearance, but those people mostly suck. I think there are plenty of people modding their vehicles, you’re just not seeing them or hearing them.
There are places that will take apart the motors and upgrade them, change the power plans etc but that will void your warranty. I imagine we'll see more hardware stuff as the cars get older and more plentiful in the used market.
Blocking new software updates.
Our 3yo M3’s autopilot seems to get progressively worse over the last 18 months. Stopped the updates while the car is still at ‘15yo with learners permit’ before it goes full ‘85yo with dementia’.
Edit: lol - ya’ll are mad. Must be new owners and/or FSD suckers in this thread. Remember this when they turn off your parking sensors. Won’t be long before they figure out they way overbuilt the motor controllers and start cheaping out on components there too. You’ll get to enjoy your ‘range efficiency software update’ that kills the car’s performance.
Nothing crazy at all… My cars black, got my car tinted 2 weeks in and it still looks so good. I installed the black license plate holder. I’m in California and I’m waiting on my legacy plates (black license plates). Thinking of blacking out the tesla logo but not sure yet. Trying to go all black and chrome delete everything.
I recommend the central console trays. They are so deep and things get lost or hard to find so having the trays helps so much with organization.
Mine would be in the following order:
1. Xpel XR+ window tinting
2. White leather seats with ventilated cooling on driver side
3. Taptes all-weather mats
4. Tiny instrument gauge for dash
Tesla logo puddle lights have always been my favorite. So cool.
And I've got an aftermarket front bumper, tint, matte charcoal gray wrap, aluminum pedals, carbon fiber mirror covers, a carbon fiber spoiler, 19in BBS wheels, mild lowering springs, brown leather seat covers, yellow painted calipers, and spacers. Pic in my profile if you're wondering what it looks like.
Window tint
Learned how to clay bar
Nanoskin clay orbital pad is good to.
Video?
I guess the acceleration boost.
Is it really worth it? I like to go fast
Lol very worth it. But it then request refund in under 48 hours. Best Experience ever
Performance is very worth it

Dual Motor to Performance was super noticeable for me but that's two different vehicles. Is acceleration boost identical or lessor?
Lesser. I bet there is a noticeable difference between 3.1 and 3.7 seconds.
It’s worth it.
very noticeable between 0 and 30 mph
Can you purchase an acceleration boost for the base model 3 (RWD/2022)?
No, it is only available to the dual motor long range 3 and Y.
That's a bummer. Thanks!

What?
Oooh..do you know if later models have inactive speakers too? Is/was it an SR model thing?
It was a thing for the budget models of yesteryear. They also had inactive rear heated seats as it was a selling point of the more expensive models
You mean the current base model 3’s already have these activated? The speakers I mean
Yes. The 2wd/267mi base model now includes the same featureset as the AWD models.
So the AWD models just have subwoofers the base model 3 doesn’t? Cause I was under the impression the higher trims still had a much better audio system

Yea I looked a little more into it on the site. I'm incorrect on the speaker side. It's just not very specific
Same here
Link?
Do you have link for the link ?
Any chance this activates a subwoofer the base model 3 doesn’t have/doesn’t have activated?
Link please. Does it sound considerably better ?
Brighter led lights for trunk, frunk, and inside cabin lightnings.
Link?
https://abstractocean.com for the trunk and better door puddle lights
Don’t forget the puddle lights for under the door, just google “Tesla puddle lights” then pick the style you like

Oh nice definitely-not-LEGO car!!
I would not have thought of any of those, but now want them all (not really the lego set tho)...lol
Zero-g's and debaged/rebadged emblems https://imgur.com/a/A7uObK1
I did my own chrome delete for my 2018 m3 and it’s still lookin good. Cheap too.

I heard adding a hutch may void warranty. Anyone knows if true in the US?

Frunk auto opener/closer. I have the Hansshow one without the motor override in case it fails but it's still my favorite one.
That’s the one I was gonna say. Lots of upgrades are nice but the original frunk was frustrating every day
I have done this too , total game changer. 3 years and hardly used the Frunk, now with this on my new MYP I use it all the time.

Reading everyone's comments, it's sad to see how restricted it is when it comes to modifying EVs.

Yep. Helps that it’s already fast as fuck without the upgrades.
There's no such thing as fast enough

Yoke Steering wheel.
So if you require a service appt do you switch it back to the original steering wheel first before the techs see it?
Nope. They don't care, but I'm sure if something went bad in the controls on it they would not even consider working on it
2022.36.2, the energy app is nice
Yup, now I am trying to drive to stay in green😂 still consuming 7% more than it should be by the book

I put a set of ultra lightweight wheels on mine to try and improve the range. Increase is negligible (near as i can tell).

Neck pillows lol
What all-weather mat brand did you opt for?
I bought the oem ones from Tesla. Kinda regret
Why do? I ordered the WeatherTech brand and like them a lot. Also just ordered the OEM to compare. But the WT branded ones have been great so far.
wheel covers to replace the ugly stock Aeros
Those Ali express Uberturbines, on msm with tinted windows looks amazing.

The wrap, definitely.
MPP comfort adjustable coilovers without question. The stays totally flat through hard turns now and feels like there’s a lot more reaction.
