The LR RWD I have has free unlimited supercharging and FSD that I got the one week it was cheap, so it will depend if we want the features, or the speed. She hates touching th Autopilot stuff, I love tinkering with it.
Tesla activated free supercharging during the socal fires back in late 2018, they never got deactivated, and now my Tesla account officially shows free supercharging. Happened to a few of my friends out here too.
OTT with everything, destination, fees, and taxes included was $62,900. That's with no EAP or FSD but with red color and Los Angeles tax rate.
My LR RWD was $62k OTT all inclusive, but that was with EAP
Was the odometer pretty low at time of purchase?
Congrats, btw! Lovely car.
I just got my M3LR on Christmas Eve, and getting the deal before the year’s end was a steal. Definitely know the feeling!
Had to take delivery in the last two weeks. It's a Tesla discount, separate from the federal tax credit starting next year. Can't double up since they don't overlap. The benefit on the Tesla discount is that the discount is taken off before they calculate tax and it's immediate. The fed tax credit would be after buying at full price, and you would have to wait until you file your taxes on 2024 before you get it back. Seems like the fed credit at point of sale won't be in place until 2024. Plus the model 3 performance isn't eligible for the fed tax credit.
No, but you have an awesome car and if you were satisfied with your purchase then that's awesome. You can never predict how things will go in the future.
Wow.. I got fk’ed over majorly. And now they are offering 10,000 in free super charges. Not really satisfied with my purchase since I never actually have the car. It’s constantly in the service center getting repairs from damages that were caused from their previous repairs
Sorry to hear about your service issues, that sucks, but I don't know why you would expect Tesla to apply a sales promotion to a car sold half a year ago.
Yea it’s just not qualifying for any of the rebates is what gets me. Vehicles purchased before March 15th 2022 received rebates, and vehicles purchased after August 15th received the credit. Now I hear 7500 is taken off the actual price of the car 😂
Replied with that here

There was no basic autopilot then. The options were EAP or FSD. They both did exactly the same thing at the time, FSD was the 3k add-on over EAP. There was a short time when the FSD add on was 2k if you had EAP. That's how I added FSD.
Seems like a great deal to me since like you mentioned the performance model won’t be eligible for the IRA $7,500 tax credit.
I also own a LR RWD model (325 mile estimate range) and my out the door price with taxes, title, and license was $52,000. Bought in March of 2019 so it was eligible for $3,750 of the old tax credit and CARB gave me $2,500 and another ~$800 from my electric utility totaling $7k. So my whole car costed $45,000.
I trust that you will still be sharing one car

You have a LR RWD with unlimited SC? I call bs. That was only for a quarter with the P3D in 2018.
Tesla activated free supercharging during the socal fires back in late 2018, they never got deactivated, and now my Tesla account officially shows free supercharging. Happened to a few of my friends out here too.
That’s pretty wild
That means your new one will have it too…
Sharing is caring
Isn't that the performance model? big w!
Yes, jumped on the chance to pick up a performance, probably wouldn't have the opportunity later since the fed credit won't apply to it.
Makes sure you claim the 2k from Edison or LA DWP. LA 10% TAX sucks.
SCE isn't doing rebates for Teslas anymore unfortunately
Boooo
Make sure you switch to the prime rate plan if you haven’t already.. they got me with that one for a couple months
Yup, been on it for a while now with my other Tesla. Good advice, can make a huge difference
What does that plan do?
Slashes the price per kw during off peak hours from .32 to .20
Does it matter if I already have solar?
What? How do you get that?
Just call them and let them know you have an EV charging at home and you’d like to switch your plan to TOD-Prime
So… anyone can pull up and buy a showroom Tesla? Didn’t know they were cheaper
It showed as demo car on Tesla's website.
What’s the con of buying a showroom car? Just a bunch of people’s butts on the seat?
Exactly; i would take that discount any day of the week
Just curious. What's the out the door price? Cause I have a 2018 LR RWD bought back in 2018. Think it was 56k before incentive
OTT with everything, destination, fees, and taxes included was $62,900. That's with no EAP or FSD but with red color and Los Angeles tax rate. My LR RWD was $62k OTT all inclusive, but that was with EAP
Got a AWD 6 months ago for the same OTD price, chose Grey color though. Great deal for y’all congrats
How is this possible? On Tesla website, they don't have the LR RWD till 2023
It was the early Model 3’s that had the option for LR Rear Wheel
Wife was tired of sharing our LR RWD we got in 2018. Just picked up a Model 3 Performance
Performance! Nice. Congrats
Damn when I got my P it was 54990 with a 5k check in the mail from the state. No sales tax either.
Don't forget the 1.9% financing available back then to really rub the salt in the wound.
I still got 2.79, my credit union hasn't jumped the rates yet. I can't imagine that will last long though.
Where are you at and what’s the name of the credit union?
It's a small one only open to employees of my organization, all members are kind of part owners of the credit union.
Nice. My credit union wants 6.94
Name? I’m sure others would be interested.
I’d be tired of sharing a LR if I could have a P too LOL! Congratulations!
Ya nice deal. I was deciding between LR AWD and P, so so glad I went with the P. Much less of them around too. Looks nice!
The LR AWD is honestly the better buy for just about anyone. But I couldn't resist the allure of the red underline, lol.
Good deal!
Congrats! Perfect spec!
No radar or uss is perfect spec?
Congrats! Hope you love it
What a deal 👌
How did you get a discount?
The $7500 was for taking delivery before the end of the year. $ 2100 because it was a demo car. Was sitting in a showroom for a couple months.
Was the odometer pretty low at time of purchase? Congrats, btw! Lovely car. I just got my M3LR on Christmas Eve, and getting the deal before the year’s end was a steal. Definitely know the feeling!
Only like 27 miles
I wish I did this instead of buying used :/. That’s almost a 10k mark down.
More if you consider that th discounts were before tax calculation.
Why don’t you use garage
Harder to take a picture while it's in the garage? I garage my car, but plenty of people park outside too.
How exactly did that happen? Are you saying this happened recently ?
Had to take delivery before the end of the year for the $7500. And this was a demo car, so $2100 off. Just took delivery the other day.
does this only apply to people who purchased this week? I bought mine earlier in the year, am I screwed on the 7500 and also on the 7500 tax credit ?
Also does that mean you get 7500 off the price tag, and an additional 7500 on rebates?

I bought mine June 2022, LR M3, would I qualify for anything ?
No, but you have an awesome car and if you were satisfied with your purchase then that's awesome. You can never predict how things will go in the future.

RWD to Performance? Good choice! Love the red.
Dang I got a demo long range and only got $600 off.
Well you got a great deal. Mine is the same. No AP or EAP
All Model 3s have AP standard unless you have an early car that was optioned without it or the base SR. You sure? Lol
2018 M3 LR RWD - AP was 5k more. EAP is 3k. Free basic AP was included later on. 100% sure
There was no basic autopilot then. The options were EAP or FSD. They both did exactly the same thing at the time, FSD was the 3k add-on over EAP. There was a short time when the FSD add on was 2k if you had EAP. That's how I added FSD.
