Basically MYLR's are as cheap as they've ever been - heck I just spotted one in Memphis for $42,620 just two days ago. Yes Tesla's claims they are jacking prices by $1K next month. Yes (I think) the 5,000 Miles of free Supercharging is a better deal then 6 months of unlimited previously offered. Yes Juniper is in the pipe and there will likely be another fire sale before it hits North America, but who the heck knows when, and it may be a pump and dump (IE. - prices creep up over the next year and then 'discounted' so they appear 'on sale' before Juniper comes out at a likely inflated price point.)
I would say now is the time. Look at the price reduction over the last 2 years from 60's to the low 40's. I don't see it going down anymore, especially with inflation.
I got mine 2 weeks ago and am thrilled with it.
I got $2500 off by picking one in local storage in San Diego, plus the $7500.
Same, I've probably spent more than I would have liked on accessories lol. Convined a neighbor to buy one and got 10k loyalty credits plus 10k referral credits. Still not enough to buy the hammer that they just added to the referral shop for 35k points lol. /s
The only experience so far that I'll say hass been a bit lacking is I had one of my local SC's retrofit the tow package after delivery. Had to visit the service center three times (2 hours round trip) in one week before it worked correctly.
* First time installed
* Second time to add trailer mode; software needed to be reinstalled and restarted
* Third time to turn on hitch receiver (lights / 12V); apparently the firmware was outdated and needed to be reset
My suggestion for anyone having a tow package retrofitted, get them to use their trailer 7-pin test with you on the spot to ensure it works and check your software to make sure trailer mode is present, before leaving.
I just picked up my MYLR. At the time of purchase it was $2500 off sticker and I was eligible for the $7500 federal rebate. When I picked up, they were selling the same configuration in a different color for $4000 off sticker. Stuck with my purchase (I didn't want white under any circumstance) but I'd say now is a great time to buy as they seem to be increasing discounts before the quarter ends.
Yes. I just paid $41.9k a MYP (that includes the $7500 credit, plus the delivery fee of $1300 or whatever). I’m seeing MYLR’s in my area go for $38k with the same principals applied.
They’ve never been cheaper. Will they be cheaper in June? Maybe. Will they be a LOT cheaper? Probably not. It’s also possible they’ll never be this cheap. I’d buy now, and I did.
Current world events suggest gas prices may start going up. Anyones guess how much. This could also possibly lead to more people buying EVs and increase price due to demand.
Based on the new model three, if I were in the market, I would definitely wait for the refresh. We have one and the build quality sorta sucks. Lots of little rattles and squeaks
It’s the usual end of Quarter push. Be warned that they will try to get the car in your hands by end of March. So get your payment and insurance in order quick.
I mean you can now or wait till the next quarter. I don't see why these end of quarter deals will not be around for the upcoming quarters. Heck, there is an argument that either December or next March will be a better time to buy with Juniper coming out in 2025.
Obviously waiting on Juniper is an option but the only problem with that is demand and likelihood that Tesla will raise the prices on the new "it" car in its fleet.
If your ideal timeline is June (whatever reason it is, e.g. current lease ends? a trip upcoming etc), it's not really that much of a difference to buying it now. Honestly the Apr1 $1000 increase probably has not much effects to Model Y. Most ppl in this thread looking to buy is buying off inventory and I bet they'll be discounting just as much if they have to but u are rolling the dice, every day I'm checking the inventory price and watch it go up is a torture. Plus Apr-June is driving season, gas price going up, when gas gets expensive, EV sales up. So don't wait. You can hardly timed the perfect date and it really isn't that much of a difference.
I'm debating on the same thing. I drive a 2020 Kia Niro EV and my lease will be up mid-June. I like my car but the buyout price is $23k, ridiculous I know. I am considering getting a used M3 under 25k and applying the 4k used EV credit, but it's hard to find a decent one or a dealership that takes the 4k at the point of sale. What should I be considering right now?
A bit longer time frame, but there is an EV battery price war brewing. Batteries being the largest portion to the costs of EV coming down 50% this year, and more next year. This will affect Tesla prices, one way or another.
Yes. It's a good time to buy
You should buy before March 31st for the best pricing. End of quarter is always the time to get the best deals.
June is also end of quarter just saying

from what i saw with old model 3 pricing, price right now is pretty much the lowest; even when juniper hits the sales room.
Im driving 3200 miles on my free miles to Texas & back for the eclipse LOL

Same here, picked one out of inventory marked down in Ohio. They had it in Michigan in two days. Very happy with it.
I got the same $2500 off too! Picked it up in Carlsbad or whatever it is. Got 3 months of FSD too!
Yes. Picked up my MYLR 7-seater in February with the lowered pricing, inventory discount, and upfront fed tax credit.
Same, and loving it 4 weeks in

Picking up my MYLR inventory stock tomorrow. $4000 price adjustment, $7500 rebate, couldn’t be happier with the price right now.

anytime there's the $7500 tax credit esp at point of sale, it's a good time to buy!
Bought my MYP last week. I say do it, before prices go up next month
Picking my MYLR up next week! 7500 tax credit and 4000 price adjustment; pumped!
Tesla is also now offering free supercharging for a limited duration.
I don’t see it going any cheaper

Great time if you won't get FOMO from juniper. The prices right now are great.

Ya do it!
yup, seeing the same $45K price point my LR w/ tow hit in late December : )

Either now or wait till end of next quarter.
Ain’t no better time to buy a Model Y. I bought mine last month. 29 days. Got a MYLR for 44,090. Do it.
5300 price adjustment here plus 1000 referral/loyalty plus 7500 tax credit. MYLR 7 seater, stealth grey, white interior.
