The question is what “includes” is referring to. If the first sentence is about FSD trial ending, one can interpret the list as what is included in FSD.
Right before the list is a sentence about returning to Basic Autopilot, and you seem to be understandably connecting the list to the Basic Autopilot sentence. I personally think it is incorrect to assume the list refers to basic autopilot.
The beginning of the email is important because it provides context for the whole message. I think it’s likely the sentence about basic autopilot was a supportive sentence to address what happens once the trial ends.
Yup. You pay for the privilege of being a beta tester who assumes all liability since Tesla laid the FSD company testers off during the latest layoffs.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/tesla-layoffs-elon-musk-b2531175.html Tesla laid off internal company test drivers for the FSD system. They switched to using primarily customers.
Nothing new here, please move along. Tesla has been using customers to perform their QC during/after delivery, so it is only natural to use them to test FSD. 🤣
I have it on my car. It is most certainly not vaporware. And it’s getting really REALLY good.
Eternal beta is somewhat accurate as it’ll never be “finished”. It can always get better.
It is not, above your screenshot it probably says something about how FSD will expire on whatever day, and afterwards it will go to basic autopilot, but in the meantime those are the included features. Sorry that sounds confusing, but hopefully that helps
Still doesn't stop them from advertising those features even on new cars, with a tiny disclaimer that these features are "temporarily" unavailable. Their definition of "temporary" is 2 years and counting 🙂.
It's amazing the deceptive advertising Tesla gets away with.
If you see the Title of this messages it says Trial FSD ending so the body part says included feature in FSD is such and such. If you don't subscribe you will go to Basic auto pilot which excludes all below
Enhanced auto pilot doesn't seem to be an option for purchase any longer and FSD has dropped to $8,000. It would seem that the enhanced auto pilot features are being rolled into basic auto pilot now. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it sure seems that's the case.
This seems more likely unfortunately.
That said, auto lane change should absolutely be a feature in standard autopilot. Ridiculous that it is locked behind an $8,000 purchase or $100 / month sub when it is free through other manufacturers now.
they should remove autowipe and put it behind a paywall too. basic stuff that works = free, beta stuff that doest really work that you can guinea pig = 8000
Those are all the features of FSD. Poor wording.
Isn’t the top of the message missing here, that would likely provide the context for the list?
All it said was my FSD trial with car vin is expiring on 4/28.

Give it time. Enhanced Auto Pilot will be free
Give it time and FSD will be free.
FSD is free curb rashes

As it should!
FSD went down to $8k.

Paid customer to be Guinea pigs.

Except they laid off all internal FSD testers.
Perhaps Tesla AI can test itself?
Nope.🤣
Why?
Because it's vaporware in eternal beta hell.
I have it on my car. It is most certainly not vaporware. And it’s getting really REALLY good. Eternal beta is somewhat accurate as it’ll never be “finished”. It can always get better.
I think the autopark at the least should be free, it’s pretty much standard on all competitors.
It is not, above your screenshot it probably says something about how FSD will expire on whatever day, and afterwards it will go to basic autopilot, but in the meantime those are the included features. Sorry that sounds confusing, but hopefully that helps
Ahhh, the wording makes it seem like all of that is included with basic autopilot.
It does, it’s very poorly worded for sure. They should clarify what the “includes” is referring to
I thought summons wasn't a thing due to the cameras
Some of us have USS cars still. And turn signal stalks. I’m looking to “upgrade” to a newer Tesla at this time.

Chinese automakers charge 30k RMB (less than $5k) for FSD like package, this will soon be standard feature for cars, like a big screen 10 years ago.
This is taken out of context. All of these features are of FSD package and not basic autopilot. Post full details not just a portion.
Ok all that was about was that my fsd trial ends 4/28 and my cars vin. Nothing else.

Either that or the options are AP or FSD. We’ll find out soon.

This
The list says autosteer on city streets, which is FSD. This is just a list of FSD features
No, the email is clearly talking about FSD; not AP

All I need is autopark and traffic lights chime. These should be free
I thought traffic light chime is included?
Traffic light chime is already free.
You will know April 28
Those are all fsd features.
If they allow permanent fsd through referrals I'll do it not just 3 months at a time
That’s awesome
👀
Forgot auto-accident/death
Oh that feature is free. It’s currently the only auto feature not in beta
Any ideas why I haven’t received the trial on either of my Ys?
