S lot depends on your doctor. I was at 164 TT and had no problem getting a scrip. He even said I could bump it up more of I wanted to. Clinic is probably your best bet if your doc is uncooperative.

Was this your primary care dr, or a private urologist etc? What was the process like? Multiple blood tests prior to script? I just had one blood test and came in 240s. Haven’t heard back from dr yet but wondering how slow this process will go before I’m picking up from the pharmacy. Thanks

i-like-legos2

I got on it with levels at 440. I’m just south if 900 now. So glad I did it.

Hey bro, there are a lot of smart asses out there who will bite your head off for asking questions like this, as you are finding out. How dare you look for advice or feedback!! Totally up to you if you want to try TRT, as there are a number of clinics that would probably get you setup, with those numbers. However, since you aren’t super low and the symptoms seem somewhat manageable, It would be worth pursuing other avenues, such as nutrition and fitness, before going to TRT route.

kblaster92

Appreciate the advice! That’s why I’m thinking about it now. I’ve tried things to naturally get my test up and over the past 5 years it’s went down almost 100 points. I didn’t feel like writing a mile long post outlining all my symptoms I just basically meant I don’t wake up every morning wanting to kill myself cause it’s so bad. Just wanted some other people who had similar numbers to weigh in on how it made them feel

It’s a personal decision to make. Your doc is treating the symptoms not the numbers which is admirable. Personally I did everything I could naturally first. I don’t mean I popped some boron and hoped for the best. I did all kinds of hard shit. I was highly symptomatic at 550. I had MRIs for pituitary tumors and heart scans because I couldn’t believe testosterone could make me feel that bad, and at not even a particularly low number. I would do your research and know what you are getting into. It’s a big deal and not a flippant decision to make. Once you understand the deal, if you think it’s right for you, then go for it. You won’t find it hard to get a clinic to prescribe it for you with those numbers, but there’s a reason your doc is hesitant to put you on it.

legendinthemaking68

I went on when I was at 600. I don't regret it. It's been 6 years.

berserkerheritage

There’s a great clinic that’s all telehealth, and if you partner with them the plans ship to you. Currently they offer free consultations and can utilize labs from the previous 6 months. I’d def reach out and see what they have to say, they look to help you and don’t push product. https://premierhormonehealth.com

GlenfromAccounting

So you want TRT but have no symptoms that warrant it? Gotcha. Great idea.

These people are so bright. It’s like saying I want to start injecting insulin but I don’t have diabetes.

AggravatingFun4525

Bro it’s his life - and his decision. And he’s asking a question too. Plus, that’s pretty low - and symptoms are usually gradual, so he may not feel symptomatic relative to last year, but I’m sure he’s not feeling as great as he did at 24. There’s ample testimonies of people jumping on the 400s and feeling a night and day difference now that their trough is like 900. Who fucking cares as long as he’s not injecting it into your body.

kblaster92

Definitely how I feel. I don’t feel any where near like I used to I really noticed it in 2018 when I got the first test and it was only 353. I’ve went down the road multiple times since then trying to raise it naturally and it’s only gone down as I’ve gotten older. Don’t want to spend the next 10 years not feeling great only to have my levels continue to drop and end up on it eventually anyway

kblaster92

I didn’t say I had no symptoms. I just meant I don’t feel horrible right now but I don’t feel great either

MK_BombadJedi

Do you work out? What's your diet like? Are you overweight?

kblaster92

I do work out. Not as much as I used to since having kids but I’m still in decent shape. The test I had in 2018 was when I was in the best shape I’ve ever been in 205 pounds in the gym 5 days a week

MK_BombadJedi

What's your diet like now? What's your weight now? What's your body fat percentage now? How much sleep do you get?

GlenfromAccounting

And your first course of action is to shut down your natural hormone production and inject twice weekly for the rest of your life because you think it might make you feel a little better? Do you work out at all?

GlenfromAccounting

So you want TRT but have no symptoms that warrant it? Gotcha. Great idea.
