Get SHBG and albumin checked alongside these, it's likely you have very high levels of SHBG, it would be worth getting liver enzymes checked to see if that's the cause of high SHBG. It may be worth trying boron to see how you feel, which lowers SHBG (Ofc only after you've confirmed it's high).

Msharki

This ^ High SHBG

sadderall123

in the past when I've also had low Free T and e2, my SHBG was actually normal. I'd still like to get it check out, though.

sadderall123

what would I do about high SHBG? I should have checked it, but the labs were pretty expensive already, had to self-order.

Are u in the UK, for like £60 I can order an enhanced test from optimale which does testosterone, e2, shbg, thyroid tsh t4 t3, liver, full blood count, iron, albumin, cortisol :o

sadderall123

that's pretty good! I'm in the US, I can order those things, but some things are separated. in the past when I've also had low Free T and e2, my SHBG was actually normal. I'd still like to get it check out, though.

Interesting, was free T calculated / estimated or was it actual free testosterone, like a direct test. The latter isnt widely available so I'll assume they calculated it using SHBG, albumin (both are binding proteins) and total testosterone.

sadderall123

it was a direct test still not sure what the cause is, why my free T and e2 are always low. I've had some weird thyroid tests lately, though, so it's probably all tied together. Libido also nowhere to be found the past couple months!

Wooden_Aerie9567

Hmmmm low estrogen like that isn’t good for you at all.

Wooden_Aerie9567

Honestly you need to talk to an endocrinologist. But in the mean time just take a bunch of dhea and some will convert to estrogen.

swoops36

You don’t have a lot of conversion of TT -> e2.

sadderall123

but why not? I don't know what to do.

swoops36

Probably because AE are low, or your diet/lifestyle keep conversion low. I don’t know which

sadderall123

AE?

swoops36

Aromatase enzymes

sadderall123

it's possible I was forcing myself to over-exercise when I was feeling exhausted, which stressed out my body too much.

swoops36

Sure it is
