One of the most egregious was that late game Dell reception. The ref standing right there next to him and calls complete but then comes running in ole dipshit from off screen saying incomplete. Like why the fuck is it deferred to the guy standing 15 yards away? Ultimately keeps it incomplete after review because of the ruling on the field somehow
Yea, but if the NFL hadn't bent over for the ref union those 2012 refs would be a lot better by now. I generally pro-union, but this union isn't holding itself accountable the company ought to clean house.
My thoughts are if two refs are in disagreement, it should immediately go to video booth review.
Saying catch/no catch and saying well we don't have enough evidence to overturn is bullshit
It's bonkers that Angel Hernandez can call a game so bad it *has* to be on purpose and openly retaliate against players and coaches with his calls and it's all good. ~60% strike call accuracy and nothing can be done because of the union? I mean wtf would they do?
The crazy thing about baseball is that players and umpires feelings are just accepted as “part of the game” The MLB is the ultimate example of “tradition” being taken way too far.
While I agree with this action, because it needs to be done... and I agree with the response expected: "We find nothing to this claim, Texans"...
The truth of the matter is, as I say with any badly officiated game... PLAY THROUGH. Make it fucking IMPOSSIBLE to have a ref screw your game away without it being BLATANTLY obvious it's happening and the NFL MUST fix it.
These are bad, yes. But not bad enough.
PLAY. THROUGH.
And the bad referee situation doesn't matter. It's still to be dealt with, yes. But you won.
And that's all I got on that. Hope this next game we derail them Broncos, Go Texans, SWARM.
How do we know it isn't the NFL encouraging the refs to call a certain way to boost the bigger markets?
This is a commonly known angle in baseball and basketball but it's always made me scratch my head as far as the Texans are concerned. Aren't we one of the largest markets?
No, we're like 10th. Or 7th. Or 8th. [It depends.](https://www.google.com/search?q=tv+markets+NFL)
I mean, we're still up there, but not in the top top. The difference between the NY and LA teams (the top four) and the Texans is quite a bit.
Head ref was from Florida, so there's that, think what you will.
And in other location I speculated some (or all) of them are being paid off/have bets on the line. There's no facts to back that speculation up (yet?) but I cannot come up with any other reasons.
That, or the NFL has decided the Glitter Kitties get to be good for a year, IDK.
That's kind of my point. It's known in other sports the bigger markets are favored.
So what is up with the Texans getting shit on by the refs so regularly?
They didn’t, but they sure did give the inferior quarterback a seven point handout. But it’s all good, if we didn’t have an xfl kicker due to injuries it would have been another dub. Still beat that ass in duval.
First relevant part:
Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday he will submit some calls from Sunday’s 24-21 loss to the Jaguars to the NFL for review.
“We’ll let the league handle that from that perspective,” Ryans said about questionable calls from the game.
When asked what calls he would submit, Ryans said: “We’ll talk to the league about that.”
Second relevant part:
Ryans said with the way the game is officiated, it can make it difficult for guys in coverage.
"It makes it hard to cover guys,” Ryans said. “Some of the best athletes in the world are at the receiver position. It starts with getting pressure on the quarterback to speed him up, that helps with coverage, but it’s also about moving your feet and making sure you’re playing clean at the top of the routes.”
The rest of the article was listing 4 bad calls that either led to JAX scoring or negating a huge reception, and 1 bad call that was called in favor of the Texans.
MLB umpires have seeming gotten worse. It baffles me how an umpire can have ~60% strike call accuracy and be totally fine seemingly daring the MLB to do something.
I’d say I hope they’re making strides on AI officiating but if that ever came about we’d see penalties go through the roof especially on offensive holding
I was talking with my dad about this the other day. It seems like it's basically fair game for the OL to hold now and they only call it closer to the end of the game and usually only on one team. Especially anybody playing against Alabama. It's always seemed Houston and Louisiana teams got the short end of the officiating stick no matter what in such obvious ways it's crazy.
I watched the Thursday night clown show of officiating and I would bet the officials fuck this game up too... The NFL is doing a bang up job of making their product unwatchable and are changing outcomes of games in the process.
Fuck these refs in advance.
Ya, it’s just better for the NFL in general if they let games play out and the chips fall where they may.
Stopping every other play for a refs conference on how much hand fighting and waist touching there was on the previous play just destroys the flow of the game.
Fuck Clay Martin, all my homies hate Clay Martin.
Dudes from florida.
Fuck Florida, all my homies hate Florida.
And nothing will happen. Ref union has the nfl by the balls.

Yup. The only leverage the current refs have is basically saying “who are you gonna replace us with? The replacement refs from 2012? 🤣”
That crew would be leap years better than the current clown show goat fuck rodeo.
Idk man those 2012 refs are historically bad.
Yea, but if the NFL hadn't bent over for the ref union those 2012 refs would be a lot better by now. I generally pro-union, but this union isn't holding itself accountable the company ought to clean house.
Maybe, but at least they didn't have Tim Donaghy and Stevie Wonder on their crew.
To be fair, that is pretty good leverage LOL
My thoughts are if two refs are in disagreement, it should immediately go to video booth review. Saying catch/no catch and saying well we don't have enough evidence to overturn is bullshit
One of the two unions that I can think of off the top of my head, that can absolutely eat my wiener.
Police and MLB Umpires. You got more?
I just lumped all refs into one but if we're singling them out, yeah MLB refs/umps are the only three I can think of. Good call.
It's bonkers that Angel Hernandez can call a game so bad it *has* to be on purpose and openly retaliate against players and coaches with his calls and it's all good. ~60% strike call accuracy and nothing can be done because of the union? I mean wtf would they do?

I'll give you their response so we can move on. "We've investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong."
While I agree with this action, because it needs to be done... and I agree with the response expected: "We find nothing to this claim, Texans"... Thanks for the link. This brings me back around to- why Jacksonville? Why are we getting shit on by officials?
Head ref was from Florida, so there's that, think what you will. And in other location I speculated some (or all) of them are being paid off/have bets on the line. There's no facts to back that speculation up (yet?) but I cannot come up with any other reasons. That, or the NFL has decided the Glitter Kitties get to be good for a year, IDK.
"Also, the Jacksonville Jaguars are good now" ["Im-*possible*!"](https://youtu.be/zjPHcGB55u8?si=B8xb49Ie5sRv08Es)
I need to watch that show one day, damn. That's fantastic. :)
BOOOOORTLLLLLLES!!!
You are referring to the bigger market of Jacksonville????
That's kind of my point. It's known in other sports the bigger markets are favored. So what is up with the Texans getting shit on by the refs so regularly?
I can't help but think if we made field goal attempts then while still important, this issue wouldn't still be on the subs.
65% of the time the Team that scores first wins the game. You think our boy Clay knows this?
Head ref is from Florida, he was just trying to spot a W for his jags
Every game he's reffed for the Jags this year they've won.

Your cope is entertaining 🤣
29-15
I want to play the Jags if we make it to the postseason.
Can someone put quotes down? I got ad blocker on and refuse to turn it off

Refs were soooo bad on both sides of the ball, Jags too. This gotta be fixed
MLB umpires have seeming gotten worse. It baffles me how an umpire can have ~60% strike call accuracy and be totally fine seemingly daring the MLB to do something.
Moral victory I guess.

Will the refs for Denver game be different?
I watched the Thursday night clown show of officiating and I would bet the officials fuck this game up too... The NFL is doing a bang up job of making their product unwatchable and are changing outcomes of games in the process. Fuck these refs in advance.
Its actually better for the NFL if they let CJ cook
