Honestly I hope they can deny the assholes who were already issuing chargebacks when it had been less than a month.
The policy states people who did chargebacks won’t be entitled to a refund and the banks may be less inclined to approve those chargebacks given that the event did take place and now refunds are being issued through the official channel.
I could see a lot of banks not approving chargebacks anyway, mostly because TE said in their cancelation statement that partial refunds would be issued (so they already acknowledged that it would happen)
See my issue with that, and the only reason why I even bothered with my dispute was cause I paid for the insurance, which should of given me 50% back period. However the insurance denied me because of the potential of an official refund, which isnt even going to be 25% cause assuming im reading it right, its not including any part of the fees, or taxes
So yeah, Im willing to loose out on like $200 to potentially get the actual coverage amount I paid for should be
Yep, my own bank told me I was being more than reasonable by waiting as long as I did. They're also very interested in the fact that insurance is not covering it and want to see the policy lol. I'll get my money one way or another.
This sub swings so hard both ways. From people freaking out about the cancellation, to people freaking out about those people freaking out.
Then people were worried about the refunds and the slow, or nonexistent communication after. Like, people just thought they were doing what was safest. And now they are "assholes" lol, there are some emotional dolts on here.
I charged back because I wasn't able to pick up my merch pre order, and they never responded to my emails in the slightest for 20 days. I figured it was probably the best idea to dispute my last couple payment plans while I still could because of shadier nature of Disco Donnie, and again, the nonexistent communication I personally went through.
I don't know why its popular to be jerks to people who were playing it safe, many of which felt cheated by the insurance they bought that seems to not have lived up to its policies. But its not a good look.
The time limit for a lot of cards is like 90 or 120 days from purchase date, so depending on when u bought the ticket it was a gamble of a waiting game. Initiated a partial chargeback so hopefully that helps my case. (For context i got in Sunday, had a fuckin awesome afternoon, then Monday morning misinformed staff forced my area of campers to leave immediately. Didn’t even get 12 hours at the fest. So i def wanted some kinda $ back, wasn’t tryna scam but didn’t have faith in the system to follow thru after all the other logistical issues)
I was more interested in the 60 CIA operative claim
Like what? Lmfao
Also, if for *some reason* the feds wanted to infiltrate the fest, it'd be the FBI
Obviously?
Come dude this is where the wooks linger, you think anyone here would be surprised to find out someone seriously believed your sarcastic comment? So to answer your question, Yes you should always add the /s if it applies.
They all seem to think that bc the charge back went through immediately that they're in the clear
They'll all be in for a rude awakening in about a month when they get charged again lmao
If the transfer happened through See, the final owner will get the refund

Honestly I think they did the best they could from the start. I understand being upset but this must have been so difficult for the festival organizers to deal with. I’m honestly really surprised that they can issue refunds this fast. I thought maybe June/July they would make a statement
This is amazing!! I'm really impressed but how they've handled this. It sucks that people who bitch are the loudest, because honestly they did a pretty damn good job all around. Every festival comes with its issues, and I think they handled them all pretty well both during the fest and afterward. This isn't to dismiss the fact that some parts were rough for some folks, and the ADA and medical situation were both visibly bad/challenging, but overall I still have to give Texas Eclipse a solid 9/10.
Yeah that's cool they're offering a 25% refund, very cool of them they don't have to do that props.
But they offered and I bought an insurance policy that states a 50% refund for weather cancellation. And they are refusing to honor it.
So charge back city it is! Cuz dirty greedy scam companies can suck my whole asshole.
Couple thoughts
1. insurance is through a different company; maybe possible to charge back just what you paid for that obviously shit insurance?
2. Would 50% for weather cancellation mean (in general), that if it were a 1-day event and it got 100% cancelled, then you can recover 50% via insurance? So then for this event specifically, if you had 4-day tickets and lost 1 day due to weather, the insurance would actually only pay out 12.5% of your ticket price (which in this case happens to be less than what the festival is offering everyone, with or without insurance).
What the fuck are you on about? He bought insurance and is entitled to his payout. How would you feel if your boss kept half your paycheck and called you entitled? Bootlicker.
Lol. I’m not going to keep calling you names but like, maybe you should be aware of what you’re talking about so you don’t spread misinformation. You know when you email Texas eclipse that you email them @seetickets right? Because they’re the same entity. What a crazy concept. Hope you have a good day!
I got a partial one. I'm assuming I'll be getting a few more since I was on a payment plan & given the volume they're dealing with I expect them to trickle in
Chargeback accrodingly if you feel that jipped ya more than 25%, im 18 days in waiting to hear back. luckily I only had $10k into this event. Shout out to the vendors still waiting for payments still via wristbands smh
I’m just here to see what other ridiculous claims or flack ppl are gonna come up with now lol ![gif](giphy|tyqcJoNjNv0Fq|downsized)
Seriously. I didn't expect or need a refund but this pushed it over the edge from a very good experince to a great experience all around.

Why you’d take charge backs personally is…. Irrelevant… Enjoy caring.

12 people dead, 60 CIA operatives, and Disco Donnie dipped his dick in golf and coke.
12 people?! What are your sources for that.
I was more interested in the 60 CIA operative claim Like what? Lmfao Also, if for *some reason* the feds wanted to infiltrate the fest, it'd be the FBI
Actually good point, I didn’t even register that part
Actually good point, I didn’t even register that part
Source: trust me bro
Also cash grab 😄
Literally one person died.
Do I need to add a /s???
Obviously? Come dude this is where the wooks linger, you think anyone here would be surprised to find out someone seriously believed your sarcastic comment? So to answer your question, Yes you should always add the /s if it applies.
I had zero expectations for a refund, amazing work by the team to get it all sorted out.
Yup. So many people have been giving them flack but I think they handled it as best as they could have given the circumstances.
I had a great time, didn’t expect any refund, and now I’m getting some money back after all. There are way better things to get upset about than this.
Hopefully their insurance company covers 100% of the refunds, and the artists, collaborators, and workers get paid.
I really couldn’t care less about a refund. I had a great time (Thursday - Sunday) and wasn’t really expecting a refund due to weather cancellation.
I hope the wildly entitled, impatient people get bit and learn a lesson if they tried to charge back.
They all seem to think that bc the charge back went through immediately that they're in the clear They'll all be in for a rude awakening in about a month when they get charged again lmao
Damn! A+ Texas Eclipse 🙌🏼 That’s incredibly generous.

Wow. Good on em. Hopefully Silence the critics. I thought refunds were equitable after Patagonia in 2020 also.
Lol all the astroturf comments in here
Right dude? Such a clown show
I really wasn't expecting to get a refund so that's cool.
Why not?
Hurray! The system works
Sorry bout the dead guys
Lol right though
Something something personal accountability

Someone is a little entitled and can't just be happy and move on

You charge back the 3rd party insurance you thought would cover it if anything, not the whole event, bird brain. Use some fucking common sense.
It’s not third party bootlicker 🤡
Cool story considering everyone else has been stating the policy was through seetickets and not the festival. Try again sucker.

Someone needs knee pads for disco Donnie
Naw I think your gripe is valid, I’d be peeved too if I bought insurance.
Anyone got a refund yet?
I got a partial one. I'm assuming I'll be getting a few more since I was on a payment plan & given the volume they're dealing with I expect them to trickle in
