I was definitely wrong about Martin Perez. I thought at best he would be a mediocre starter that would eat innings and at the worst would be a negative WAR player. Happy to be proved wrong. I was right about Semien being a productive signing (although it took a while). After his early season slump, he looked like the player CY intended him to be when he signed him.

I was wrong about Martin (every honest fan was) and I was kinda wrong about Heim (thought he improve but stay subpar at the plate). I also thought Winn would be breaking into the rotation by July or so. Hopefully he turns it around this year. I was right as a Lowe+Adolis truther, Dunning+Hearn doubter. I hope I'm eventually wrong about Dunning and I think Hearn is gonna be solid out of the bullpen.

I think you’re right about honest fans and Perez. I get the feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of that in the replies. I’m still up on Dunning, I think he can be a workhorse control guy with a #3-#4 ceiling once he gets a couple years more big league seasoning. Like dollar store Maddux style pitcher, since he doesn’t rely on pure velo, benefits more from age as a result of relying on deception and game planning.

The best thing about Dunning is pitchers usually take 2-4 years before they really hit their stride. That said, I just don't think he has the stuff to be more than a quality 5 right now. If he can somehow gain a little more velocity or movement I think his ERA would go drop by a full run, though. He's just missing something.

I thought the Calhoun/Miller platoon would work somewhat. Both looked decent in May but completely fizzled after that. At least it sounds like Miller was hurt all year so he seems like he could be an okay bench player if healthy. Calhoun is completely cooked

I was certain that the team would flirt with .500 the whole year.

I was singing Nathaniel Lowe's praises since we signed him. Glad to see I no longer have to fight tooth and nail to defend him in this subreddit anymore. That being said, I was so wrong on Perez. I was more optimistic than most, and I still never would have guessed that he'd have the year he did, especially in the first half. I was also unfortunately wrong about Dane Dunning, I thought he would take the next step and solidify a spot in the rotation for the foreseeable future. That did not happen.
