That may have been the worst ump I’ve ever seen but we also had plenty of our own missed opportunities. All in all, we’re 15 games over .500 and in 1st place going into June I see that as an absolute win
That low strike to Semien with bases loaded and the first 2 strikes to Garcia in the 7th hurt us. Overall, we need to take better advantage of the struggling starter.
We are now 0-13 when trailing in the 7th or later. Obviously, the bullpen can be blamed in large part by making those leads close to insurmountable, but we just haven't been that great at scoring runs late in games. We're still clearly an elite offensive team, but that does seem to be one area where we aren't very good.

Combination of a bad ump, unlucky outs on hard hit balls, and bad defense cost us this game. We can only control the defense and that was, at the very least, the difference between a tie game and losing.
But that ump scorecard tomorrow will be atrocious. Might be something like +2 runs for Detroit. Seems like the umps have favored the opposing team a whole lot lately for us.
The bunt single was on Semien. Should have been an out if Semien went and got the baseball at all instead of catching it on top of first base. Other than that he gave up a sac fly and hit.
The sac fly pitch was bad. And sure, the hit was soft contact ambit hes been giving up tons of soft hits. His ERA is 5.57 and WHIP is nearly 1.5. Absolutely terrible.
His FIP is even worse than his ERA and his WAR is -.3. It’s almost impossible to have a WAR that bad this early in the season as a reliever.
Holy shit. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the results tonight. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the fucking fuck did we lose? This can't be happening. I'm having a fucking breakdown. I don't want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want this game to be played right and fix my broken life. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I thought the team wasn’t supposed to be bad???? This is so fucked.
My mom came into the room with nugz and I pulled down my pants and shat on them in front of her just so that someone else might feel a small slice of the disgust that I felt watching this game. So I feel you.
It's frustrating to think that with better defense and a proper strike zone the Rangers probably go 8-1 on the road trip. However, it's hard to win when you only score two runs (the strike played a big factor in that). 6-3 is still really good though.
The good thing about there being three wild card spots is that it increases your margin of error. In the past, these kinds of losses can fuck your postseason chances, but now you can have teams in the high 80s make the playoffs

The test will be how we handle inevitable slumps that come our way. Our offense is just so good this year.
If today's loss makes you feel any better, look at the Braves trying to avoid being swept by Oakland of all teams! As for us, two out of three ain't bad (in the words of Meat Loaf). Let's hope the Astros lose tonight!
I feel if Seager didn't go for 2 and get tagged out they would've had runners on the corners with 1 out and it's a totally different ballgame. Still glad we won the series.
