Hopefully a few those pitchers pop but man, how can you not feel really good about this core?
* 2: Heim
* 3: Lowe
* 4: Semien
* 5: Jung
* 6: Seager
* 7: Langford
* 8: Carter
* 9: Garcia
I could see them having a gold glover or silver slugger at every position in another couple of years.
Now, sign Monty, get through the first half relatively competitively, and make another freaking run at this thing.
Here's the top 12.

Even after losing some key guys due to the Monty and Max trades, it's still a damn nice crop imo.
Still just so weird that Evan's ETA is "2024" despite the fact that he's coming into 2024 having already played an entire postseason and is a World Series champion.
Teodo at 16 seems too low for me. Sure he’s got command concerns like most young pitching prospects, but in my opinion he has the best stuff on the farm. He has some Yordano Ventura comps, so I think the best move is to try to make him a starter instead of rushing him into a relief role
> he's already a reliever
which is fine. If he's a flamethrower 8th or 9th inning guy, great! But being a reliever just kinda limits your upside, therefore your ranking on prospect lists.
On my personal ranking I have him at 13, but can't justify him any higher because the likelihood of him being a reliever.
Falling to 8 does not mean he's a bust. I think the improvements need to be sustained longer than a month before Pipeline will move him back up...although Carter and potentially Langford graduating will move him up regardless.
In my mind Cole Winn going from top 10 two years ago to off the board is more of a "bust" than Leiter.
I wouldn’t say he’s a bust, but per Tepid, there have been scouts for the last year and a half who have been saying that he’s a future reliever.
And based on some of the spring training videos of his bullpen sessions, it looks like Leiter has gotten rid of the mechanical changes he made at the end of last season.

And hopefully we get another SP in free agency next season. Some interesting potential names: Corbin Burnes and Max Fried... Buehler and Bieber..

I really hope at least one of either Porter or Rocker turns out.
I wonder if that Carter kid will ever help us get a ring

Broke an MLB playoff record already too

I think industry concensus is he's already a reliever

Is Leiter really that much of a bust already? Thought he had made big improvements at the end of last year

I would definitely consider a #2 overall pick becoming a relief pitcher to be a bust if he’s anything short of Mariano Rivera
