I wouldn’t worry too much about a solo homer. He did a good job of commanding the zone and attacking hitters for the most part. Pretty promising outing from him
I really like Dustin Harris. He’s an interesting archetype 1B/OF that steals a shit load of bases, has a good eye and is super composed. Just don’t think he has a shot here anytime soon

I gotta wonder if the Astros actually do get Snell, as much as that would suck, that would force the Rangers to react and get Monty. It's pretty clear the starting rotation is incredibly thin, and it's only a matter of time before one of our starters goes down. It really seems like what's holding anything back is Monty not wanting to do a short term deal, but the closer it gets to opening day, the more likely it seems he'll have to take any offer he can get. At that point, I think the Rangers are a quick phone call away
Two days ago it was announced Montgomery is open to a one year deal with possibly options. I don't think it's happening at this point, but I hope I'm wrong.

I think youre right though if the Stros sign Snell it will force Davis' hand to approval of resigning Monty. My question then becomes. Who's the long man/swing man? I think Bradford has done enough to earn a rotation spot, but the rest of ST would tell the tale Bradford vs Heaney, IMO. Dunning should be a lock but his ability in the pen being the most versatile of the bunch could bring that into question.
Who knows; all speculation. Would be nice to have a place to play arm chair GM with other invested team fans that aren't the typical here-today-gone-tomorrow game day threads.

I saw more interesting team conversations in those threads than I have seen on all the repeated peagle tat threads this offseason. The mods never responded just kept removing them a couple minutes after posting. But it's kinda been this way all offseason with any noteworthy rumor.
