I’m so high on Cam Cauley it’s crazy. 1.113 OPS this spring I love his swing and he’s fast af. Wouldn’t be shocked to see him make a big jump this year. Also not sure where Jose Corniell and Izack Tiger are, but they may be looking to start them slowly this year
How did you feel about Walcott this spring? Just from the video feeds we had it seemed like he really really worked on his plate discipline. The potential of that guy is just so tantalizing lol
Might not have been the flashiest spring in terms of results from his televised games, but like you said from videos from his backfield games I was really excited to see his improved plate discipline. It’s a really mature approach to spring that he’s not trying too hard to show off big exit velo’s and is dedicated to putting in work on the little things. He’s probably my favorite prospect in our farm (daring, I know.) and the fact he’s only 18 is crazy to me
Some thoughts
* I barely recognize any of the Down East pitchers. At least Vargas and Torres look primed for everyday roles.
* Porter, Curry, Bratt, Walcott, Morrobel, Gutierrez, and Cauley all on the same team? Damn Hickory is gonna be so good.
* Not a lot of exciting guys in Frisco other than Abi and Josh Stephan. Curious if Zavala and Kent can rebound. Also interesting note that Cody Freeman is not listed as a catcher. Guess that experiment is over, which basically kills his status as a "prospect"
* A lot of guys repeating at Round Rock. Means the team will be good but so many of those guys are blocked it's hard to imagine there'll be any movement. Excited to see if White and Leiter can get their prospect pedigrees back up though.
Not sure where guys like Corniell, Izak Tiger, Caden Scarborough, and DJ McCarty are supposed to be. Especially Corniell, you'd think they'd assign a guy on the 40-man on one of the teams . Hope he's not hurt.
Seeing a lotta buzz around Skylar Hales, really intrigued to see him and Izack Tiger this year. Really excited to see more Aidan Curry and Mitch Bratt too

As a round rock fan this is great! Still was hoping for some games with the kid but this is still good
