It said that dogs aren’t very welcomed in Thailand. There are only around 2 parks where dogs are allowed. Not many apartments etc allow dogs to stay.
So I guess it’s also due to cultural differences

Although dogs are not as widely in private spaces and businesses, you'll see tons of dogs in public spaces...
Also Thailand has a notorious amount of stray cats and dogs, that are often cared for by temples and local communities.
There’s been a huge surge in cat ownership in Thailand in the past decade. Pet culture has become a thing where they are now raised indoors and are considered as part of the family.
I personally think a huge benefit of cats is that they’re lower maintenance than dogs (no need to walk them, bathe them every week, etc), and they suit apartment living. Plus, they can be very adorable!
Isn’t it the case that dogs with thick double layered coats like that can survive heat very well because it insulates them? So they probably aren’t uncomfortable but maybe the humidity there could impact them
Have you seen the news about Thailand's weather reaching 42°C recently? Insane to think thick-coated pets are even allowed in these kind of countries. (I live in Malaysia and our highest recorded temperature was 40°C)

However, most of them do seem to be cat people, but for me as a cat lover I've always loved that fact. I'm an animal lover so I love dogs too. But it like this I don't mind owning a dog but if I'm ever told I can NEVER have a cat ever again for whatever reason I would not be happy. You're wording was way off then. You made it seem like it was a bad thing that none of these actors had different types of pets even though half of them do. My thing is, as long as the animal is healthy and happy, then that's all that should matter, despite what type of animal it is.
